-There was a sweet melody playing from somewhere to the far, far south in the southern glen, the music was from a flute or some kin instrument-

-did the wind carry a tune that far or was the music enchanted, it was hard to say...-

-Travelers on that southern road (or those who had followed the tune) would soon find themselves on a road where a wall with green moss growing along it's somewhat crooked stones stood, leading the way down a winding path deeper into the woods-

-the further along the trail, the deeper the forest seemed to get and after a walk one would start seeing paper lanterns dotting the trail strung along on lines from posts standing every ten or fifteen feet on either side of the path, the lanterns were of different colors, in the mid afternoon light each remained unlit-

-the trail opens up to a winding path and there in a lush green place with lots of trees and trails sits an inn, a large place with big windows, double oaken doors set in the long wall facing the road, a sign there reads, 'Songpaw Tavern, All are welcome" and has a listing of the nightly menu, a porch leading up to the doors and around toward the east. The porch has two porchswings and is decorated with flowers in half barrels. On that eastern most wall sits another set of oaken doors, a hanging sign reads 'Songpaw Inn and Pastries' the porch ends here where a birdbath sits with a sundial in its center-

Inside the inn through the eastern most double wooden doors one would find themselves in the booking and sign in room with its fine plush furnishings, two cases displaying odds and ends and what-nots of all times, collections of Mr. Swaggerty the bookkeep, who can usually be found seated on his favored worn stool behind the long oak wood sign in counter which is piled up with books, ink quills and bottles, scrolls and the large ledger book. behind the desk is a door with a sign marked, 'Private Keep Out'-

After signing up and paying off, (if one plans to stay the night), the book-keep would point you off into the large double doors to the left-

Through the wooden door way leading from the book-room, a set of stairs leads up to the right and out to the left and ahead are many fine oak wood tables, hand carved, some with metal accents, some decorated by lantern centerpieces. Along the left wall is the front door and past those doors sits the long oak-wood bar and many bar stools, the shelves behind the bar are well stocked with many different selections to quench most thirsts and the barkeep Dancy Blackfin isn't far away to attend patron's needs, beyond the bar is the door into the kitchen, to the far left is the doors that lead out onto the back porch and into gardens and a path to the stables.

Crossing the room and taking a seat at the bar, looking out over the commons room one would see the large fireplace on the north wall of the room with a gathering of arm chairs and tables, cozy enough to read at and spend those cold nights cuddled up near. To the left of the fireplace is a raised stage where bands and entertainers perform, even the staff of the tavern might take a turn on a given night, further left of the stage is the door leading to the first floor rooms of the inn.

Looking further right of the fireplace, nestled in the back wall under the stairs and the landing to the second floor are a couple of booths with ample seating and silky dark red curtains for privacy.

Through the door beyond the bar lies the kitchen. Inside you will find all the comforts of an inn kitchen and more as well as a pantry and back door out to the back porch used mostly for deliveries. The double baker's ovens are a favored place to find Dosha when she isn't out and about.
