Joshi (Jo-shee) and Dali (Doll-ee), had been together for a few years, their difference in bloodlines and Den names didn't seem to keep them apart. Though some members of their families had tried. The couple had tried a number of times to start a family with no luck. Joshi thought that perhaps the stress of living where they had been, in an older ran down home, in a not so good part of town in Wolf City, might have been part of the problem. So to try to help, he up and moved the couple to Rhy'Din, with the few possessions they had, at the first chance he got.

They came from Lupinoss to have a chance at a better life. Joshi, a soultri, a Spiritor by birthright, and a damned good mage and Dali, a dessii, a healer, born in Great Den Foxingale. The two had settled into the den in the southern glen along with many other lupes had come from oppression and slavery. There had been much work done by the great Ammy Spiritor and other Lupinossai to make the Den a good place to live. Joshi was settling nicely into a job as an astronomer and bookkeeper and Dali worked in the hospital.

They worked hard and quickly were able to afford a nice starter house within the den, which they made into a great home to start a family. The house had three bedrooms, a kitchen and a family gathering room. It also had working plumbing, something the pair had never had before. Months went on and they attempted again and with much luck and help from doctor's and herbalist's advice, Dali became pregnant. Joshi and his mate were very very happy at this news. They prepared for the child and Joshi continued to provide for them.

Rawsha was born one early mid-spring morning. It was around three A.M., her mother had a hard and long labor, but hours had passed and the new family were soon together and resting in the care of a mid wife. Rawsha had been born at their home. The next months were filled with the joys and the hardships of having a little one to care for, as an infant Rawsha had already showed signs of very high affinity for magic. She had called tiny balls of lightening from the air and singed the rug in their masterbed room, and scared off a nurse who had came by to lend a hand when she had summoned a small air elemental, which went around in the form of a tiny tornado tearing through the nursery. There were other stories her mother and father would share with friends later on.

Joshi had continued to work long days and come home to help and sleep at night, Dali had of course taken leave at the hospital, and hired helpers to help with the pup and around the house. The helpers had been warned of the magical misshaps and would tame the childs want to use magic so freely at an early age with a toy or a game.

Through the months Rawsha grew, she was a healthy happy pup, who loved to be held and listen to her father play his flute and her mother telling stories. Joshi would sit outside after dark with Rawsha and point out stars to her, telling her the names and stories about them and how they form.

The young couple loved to spend free time teaching her basic knowledge. As she grew from infant to toddler, they even started showing her, minor little spells and easy things she could do with her magic. There were other instances of her magic reacting to how she felt, like the time repairs had to be done when Rawsha had a tantrum and blew out all the windows in their home with air magic.

When she turned two, Dali and Joshi started showing her how to read, write and basic numbers as well as magical healing and taking a better grasp of her air magic. Rawsha and her father would take walks at night to stargaze more and more often. The small family was happy, very normal, for being a family of casters. Dali continued working at the hospital and Joshi was very happy with his work as well. Rawsha was cared for by a babysitter during the mornings, until her mother came from work and the family spent their evenings together

One night, screams and loud sounds broke out in the den, Rawsha awoke and couldn't find her parents. Joshi and Dali had slipped out of the house to help as the den was being attacked. Rawsha opened the front door and went into the yard, calling for her father and mother. The smell of smoke and the loud noises startled the child as she watched part of the den burn. This was the night that Takhasis attacked. The little lupe wondered into the street near their home and down toward an open market, where her mother and father had shopped before. People were screaming and running

Calls to get to safety rang out as Rawsha looked for her mom and dad. There in the market place a lady stood surrounded by three hellhounds, Rawsha soon had two of them turn on her, she cast her magic in fear but using things her father had taught her she protected herself...

She awoke the next morning, being cared for in the hospital. The child like so many others had become an orphan overnight. She would start living at the orphanage in the next few days. The only thing that she had to keep with her from her parents was her father's silver and tigers eye pendant and cloak, their family home had burnt to the ground.
