It had been a bit of time since Solange had returned from her lengthy sojourn. Her diplomatic endeavors on behalf of the Baron of Saint Aldwin, Alain DeMuer, had been largely successful. She had won him favor with several countries and kingdoms, claiming that fruitful ties with the Barony of Saint Aldwin would boost both economies and settle Baron DeMuer's power over the unpredictable realms which the Barony encompassed.

All of her belongings and treasures from her travels had been unpacked and catalogued. And now she wished to give them to their rightful owners. There had been several gifts given into her protection by various heads of state for Alain. Her favorite of these was an ornate set of Santiagan glass goblets, which were a contribution from the Vice-Consul of Santiago. Solange had thought that the meticulous glasswork and hand-painted details were quite handsome and would make fine additions to Alain's dining set, which she had hand written in a note of gratitude for the Vice-Consul and signed Alain's name to earlier in her trip. Once they were accounted for, the goblets were carefully packed back up in their ebony box with the ornate gold lock and delivered to House DeMuer.

Not to be outdone, the Envoy of Mayence had seen fit to bequeath a fine jeweled brooch to the Barony in the hopes that an alliance would also bring serenity to the turbulence of his own kingdom. The rose gold scrolled gracefully around a cameo-cut morganite which was lovingly surrounded by smaller citrine stones. With the pear-shaped morganite gracefully suspended from the brooch, Solange had thought it would make a beautiful addition to the jewelry box of Sophie Rhovnik. Likewise as with the goblets, she had written a tasteful note to the Envoy, to which she had signed Alain's name.

The brooch was wrapped back up in its silk pouch and delivered to Sophie's residence along with a note from Solange addressing its story and Solange's own sentiments toward the young woman. The Attach? was thankful for Sophie's power and presence of mind, and told her as much. The brooch, Solange explained, was a small token of how Sohpie's miraculous influence was of great proportions and auspice.
