These are the guidelines for using the Sovereign Legacy story folder. We're a very friendly and open play group, and we invite any of you who want to initiate respectful, cooperative stories with us to do so, but there's a few basic policies that we take very seriously - and when in doubt about any of them, please feel free to ask.

1. Remember to observe the standards of free-form roleplaying, that only the player decides what happens to their creations except with permission. These creations include characters as well as organizations and properties that the player might control.

2. While the easiest and most effective way to start a story with us here in this folder is with prior OOC communication, you are welcome to start your own thread if you please. However, when a thread is started without prior discussion or permission involved, as a rule of thumb please make posts that will on some level involve the DeMuers or their people.

3. Unless an extant thread has already been identified as open, please ask for permission before posting to the story. Spontaneity is vital to healthy RP, but often the players involved have a plan on some level for how the story will unfold, and even well-intentioned posts have the potential to be disruptive. However, if you feel the urge to post to a thread, another good rule of thumb is to ask the players involved and see if you can work something out together.

Those conclude the guidelines, though there may be new ones added and old ones revised in the future, if any changes occur to me. The thread will be locked, but if you have any questions about any of the guidelines, feel free to PM me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

That said... I am extending an open invitation to come play with us. If you want to share a story with us, we want to share a story with you. We are respectful and cooperative players always looking to combine our talents, and we can help one another to achieve our goals.

Again, if you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM, and remember... have fun. =)
