A childhood friend of Alain and Shannon's, Amalia D'Courell is also a native citizen of Nouveau Bretagne. Her family was a bit higher up than the D'Mourir's on the social scale, her father being one of the Lord Electors, though both the DeCourells and the D'Mourir families have long been friends and allies. Naturally kind hearted, Amalia has always found joy and fulfillment in helping the less fortunate. Through the rough years of the civil war that tore Nouveau Bretagne apart she gave up the privelege and protection of her father's title to work for various refugee shelters throughout the shelled and dangerous cities. Gradually she has become a leader and protector for one of the largest diasporas of refugees, and has recently led her people out of their hellish post-war homeland into the new peace and prosperity of Rhy'Din.
