The heavy wooden door hit the wall with a bang as Maria entered her room throwing her jacket with a vengeance at the empty bed. The cleaners had been in, her journal still securely closed was where she had left it untouched, the bed was made and the carpets cleaned with a diligence born of a high priced suit. But still her anger grew, how dare they intrude on her privacy, even if it was to remake the bed.
She viciously slammed the door locking it behind her before she stalked across the room. It wasn't really the cleaners she was mad at, its was that damned Lucy and her need to show loyalty in the inn. It ate at her like a deadly illness, chewing away at her heart and reminding her of all she had lost in the last few months. She was tired, and people had drawn out words of anger from her that really were a bit out of character for her.
Maria wasn't even sure which ones she meant, she loved children with all her heart, but she hated Tara and everything associated with her. Maria growled as she pulled off her shirt and skirt dropping them onto the bed, pausing to look at herself in the mirror, her shoulder still held a slight scar from the fight with Ayreg, but it had healed well enough. She quickly shed her lace bar and thong and headed for the shower, turning on the water hot enough to steam the small room.
Yes she was mad, but not for the reasons people thought she was, no she was mad because she was still in love with him and he had sent her away, discarded her like she was nothing more then his morning trash. Maria stepped under the spray of water and leaned against the wall, she was so confused, so upset, what she needed was someone to talk to, anyone at this point that she trusted, problem was she trusted no one.
Ducking under the water completely she started to clean herself up with the diligence she always did before she slipped from the shower and tugging a thick towel around her she headed back into the common room, reaching for her trunk she popped the lid and pulled out a few things before kneeling on the floor, letting her towel spill around her hips as she started to work.
