Maria Copperfield

Planning a wedding for a vampire was proving harder then Maria had planned, it didn't help that they were still in Rhy-Din, still in the hotel room and that Maria had no idea when her lover wished to actually go through with the wedding. How does one plan a wedding for a vampire anyway? In some cultures you shared a drink and special words, in others it was as simple as a single dance, in others still it was a long elaborate ceremony with god and priests.

Maria immediately slashed that one off the list, there would be nothing godly at this wedding, for her lovers sake. She had already spoken to Marcus, a not so fun encounter, but she had come out of it unscathed and Marcus a good deal richer for the amount of blood wine Maria had ordered for the ceremony. She had contacted a Rhy-Din judge about marrying them, the words would still have to be chosen, but in law they would be wed, perhaps she should have contact the priest from that blood church that had opened in the darks of Rhy-Din, she would have to consider that too.

She had planned a carriage and six pure black horses that would carry her to where ever this wedding was to be held, and carry them both away from it. Food had been another issue, but tenderloin roast with steamed summer vegetables and a sweet gravy, as well as white fish fresh caught the day of the wedding, with pasta and the most delectable sauce as well as steamed lobster and white rice and soy and spring vegetables and chicken with basil and coriander would make up the choices of meals, something to touch anyone's tastes. Finger foods would be served through out the night and an unsweetened carrot cake would make up the wedding cake, she only hoped her lover would be able to join her in eating it.

She worried so much over the food the rest of the wedding had seemed to take a back seat, she remembered to book a band, a string quartet for the ceremony and the meals, she would have to ask Keaton about his performing for the dance. She wanted to plan a room for them for the night, but without knowing where they would be for the wedding she could not. Maria had chosen an invitation style, but had yet to fill out the where and when. She hadn't even stepped foot into a wedding parlor to find a dress yet.

For the first time in a long time Maria was feeling truly overwhelmed and unsure of herself. She had not felt this alone since her escape from slavery over half a year ago. Maria sunk into a chair in their room and stared out into the city and just wished she didn't feel so lost as she did right then.
