Topic: A visit to the Bonny Corp : The Ravenlock & Onyx Lotus

Brian Ravenlock

He stood before the abandoned warehouse, hands in the pocket of his slacks as those eyes of his carefully took in the building with a rather calculated measure. From there his eyes panned the area about him, just as he had done while walking towards this place. The results were the same then, as they were now.
?
He was seemingly alone.
?
Which made sense to him, due to the fact the area around this particular warehouse did not see much traffic until much later in the day and even then, that was not much compared to other areas in the city. Which made it perfect for more than a few things, such as being able to come and go without much notice and be able to watch someone come and go, again without much notice.
?
?
??How long has it been??

The voice came from a bit off his left side, behind him. His eyes however remained on the warehouse before him, as he replied. ?Took your time, didn't you??

?Really? Brian Ravenlock of all the people in this realm, telling me that I took my time? What's that thing you used to say all the time--- oh yeah, are you $&!#@#ng me??

?Heh, something like that,? replied Brian as he then turned to face the man known once before as Garet Ravenlock, now known as---?Garet Lotus... Damn it's good to see you, boy.?

?Not looking half bad yourself 'Dark Uncle', hah! Come here, Brian.?

The two embraced in a tight hug, complete with the certified 'manly' pats to the back and what not... In case anyone had been watching.

Moving back a step, Garet slid off those shades of his. Another glance was taken around the area, ?You really know how to pick out of the way meeting places, you know? And look at you, too. A suit, no less and is that a tie possibly?? Garet's brow raised a tad, as he reached towards Brian's collar, a moment. A shake of head later, he chuckled and retracted that hand back. ?Solid collar, should have known. Well, I can't complain, it's actually nice to see you out during the day and not dressed to kick someones door in, I'm sure Jen was taken by surprise.?

Garet circled the older man with a rather inspection type glance, nodding a few times as he did so. ?Look at this... Medium length, stand collared too. Very nice craftsmanship too, not to mention those slacks... Formal and black, well that's hardly a surprise there. Wait--- you're not wearing boots? Pulgasari is here too, huh? You hardly ever bring out that katana, Brian... And where are your antique-- you know, the glasses??

The younger man paused once more next to Brian, awaiting an answer.

?Garet is this Project ^&%$*& Runway?? Brian looked somewhat annoyed, but complied with Garet's inquiry as he reached into the breast pocket of his suit and pulled a pair of spectacles out. ?See??

Garet's eyes widened, as he quickly snatched the glasses from Brian's hand. ?These aren't your regular pair, what give--- hey these are modern? Rimless and slim too? Damn, these are nice! You sure you haven't been following me around, when I shop with Myllyanna??

Garet handed the pair back to Brian, who slid them on slowly.

?You know better than that, Garet. I don't follow you all, it isn't like that. But--- I admit, we do happen to shop in the same areas, I mean you aren't the first Ravenlock that's spent time in the East, right??

?I know, I know, Brian. But, you know you could follow us around, from time to time. Who knows maybe it'll be fun? Sides, Myllyanna has yet to really see the girls, or even Dominick---?

Brian quickly cut off Garet with a raised brow, ?What's that supposed to mean??

?Oh stop that, Brian. You know it isn't that way. She really does have an interest in the next generation, and not in a bad way, you know? She's gotten--- well she's a bit different now, you know? She's concerned with things, not only here and now, but what's to come. But more than that, she's concerned--- I mean really... with people too. As in she kinda... cares.?

?Garet, she's a demone--- she cares???

?I know, right? I mean here she is, Brian... Myllyanna... and she cares for things-- for people.?

Now it was Brian's turn to look rather skeptical. ?Are you serious??

?What's so surprising, Brian? I mean look at Renna, or even Jacyn? Hell look at you and I! Maybe's it's over due for her somehow? Maybe it's those around her, I don't know. What I do know is that she really does care for some things, and they aren't selfish in nature at all. Maybe if you left that office or house of yours for a bit, you'd see, hmm??

Easing with a nod, Brian replied. ?Alright, you got me. We'll bring the kids and do dinner, yeah??

?Now you're talking old man!?

Patting Brian on the shoulder, Garet looked to the warehouse once more. ?Alright, so what's the game here? Cause as it stands, we look like a couple of gangsters heading to a meet, especially with these gloved hands of ours, not to mention our blades.?

?You forgot the katanas at our side too, Garet.?

?Hmm, that too. Guess I was lost in the moment.?

Brian nodded, ?Well, that aside... We're headed to the headquarters of the Bonny Corp, to see Mary Read. I wanted you with me, since you're with the Lotus and one day the paths of your organization and Mary's may cross paths. So it's good to have a meet an what not, an sides... I haven't seen Mary since Devil's Night last year, so it's also to make sure they are alright. Especially after that press conference of theirs, recently.?

Garet nodded softly, ?Well that makes sense, and I saw that conference too. The whole fire and destruction thing didn't sit well, honestly. Do you think it's more than that??

?Well, there's only one way to find out, nephew.? Brian nodded to Garet, as he opened the door of the abandoned warehouse. ?Head to the rear, don't deviate. I've never been this way before, so I don't know if we'll be greeted here, or allowed to the building before that. You know the drill, no drawing weapons an the such. Same as if you were doing business, right??

Garet went on in, with Brian right behind him. His eyes panned the empty warehouse, as he moved directly to the rear. ?So they know we're here??

?I'm sure they've known for a while now, yeah?? Brian moved aside Garet, reaching over to pat his shoulder, ?Thanks for being here, I missed you. An I'm sorry for being so distant, it's something I am really working on now, I promise.?

?It happens, Brian. Sides, who could blame you after the last few years. Anyways, I'll let it slide so long as you don't tell anyone else, what I said about Myllyanna, alright??

?Deal, Garet... Now also a few things quick, things may get-- strange in there. They don't mean to offend, it's just their way. They are--- uninhibited, to a fault. So whatever happens, just keep to task at hand.?

?Uh, alright?? Garet looked to Brian, you mean like 'Miles' uninhibited?

?An then some, that's what I mean.? Brian paused towards the rear, signaling Garet to do so as well. The pair stood there, waiting for whatever would come next.

?Brian..?

?Yeah Garet??

?You ever have a normal meeting??

?Rarely, Garet... Why??

?Just making sure.?

Mary Read waved off everyone who tried to stop her from going out to welcome the visitors herself. Saying simply, "Brian is an old friend. Prepare the refreshments and meet us in conference room B." A fine spread indeed was prepared for them upon their return.

She came striding out the door with a near a skip to her step but remained composed as ever. No suits as she had tired of them since her return. Just her usual leather and favored weapons covered her from head to toe and brightly burning excited green eyes flickered between the pair accessing them out of habit.

A firm handshake and a tight but fast embrace was offered to Brian. "What an honor to welcome you to our humble home here!" True, the building was large and well kept, almost as though untouched by time, though the broken down warehouse she lead them inside didn't seem like much. A simple finger print, and was that a wink given towards the camera? At any rate the metal doors opened and she lead them inside to the elevator.

They step in on one side and a series of buttons later the opposite doors open leading to a hallway on the other side taking them to the adjacent building several hundred feet away. Then down the hallway they would pass a line of blood and love slaves that looked to the three of them in a trance like adoration. The women were of exotic variety and dressed in finery especially designed for each unique type of beauty.

Mary gave a causal wave as she passed the girls. "We try to be good hosts so if you require anything..." A smile and a raised brow as she examined her guests once more, "Please do not hesitate." Bonny was nothing if not hospitable.

After they made their choices she would lead them into a room full of leather couches and seats and tables full of crystal glasses and drinks of kinds. Eric Northman, head of Bonny security, was sitting with all ease in the corner of one couch. His broad sword was being twirled lazily in one hand.

Mei Bonny was the only one who appeared distracted. Her mercury eyes seemed far away as she paced behind the couch upon which Eric sat. In a lovely black dress that she favored with long slits up the sides of her legs as though she were ready to go to a fancy event of some kind and yet... she too had twin hook swords among other things.

Mei would offer a smile to the visitors when they came in before looking back to Eric anxiously. But she would do her best to be still and compose herself as well. Mary was at perfect ease and she knew she needed to learn to perfect the art even though she didn't feel so at the moment... The reasons would have to be guessed at as they were hidden behind the ever mysterious young adopted heiress who started out a slave and found herself standing beside her Mistress, turned teacher, turned mother.
