Mary was all dressed up and ready to go. Her skin had that sun kissed glow that came with her time spent outdoors as of late. Her hair done up loosely with a fedora on top. She dressed up in a suit out of respect for the important of the proceedings, gathering such a group together to work with her was an honor. But no matter what she dressed in she was still the same Mary.

She and Mei Mei had made all the preparations for the meeting of the new Inner Circle of the company ? or the Board of Advisors as it would be officially called. The conference room had a circular table large enough to fit everyone and then some. There would be a few empty seats tonight and that saddened her. She remembered those that used to fill them?

She would find them if she could, she had not given up. But tonight was about bringing all the new members of their family together. To appoint her god-daughter in charge of all operations. To help her to make an agenda with the amazing group they had gathered together.

The slaves were all in their finest. It wouldn?t do to have anyone there needing for anything in their home here. It wasn?t just about hospitality to Mary; this was about taking care of your family. A table filled with cut crystal glasses, and beverages to fit the varying tastes of the company, was near the door so anyone could take one before sitting down.

Mary for herself had poured a glass of rum. She was at ease, as was her desire that everyone else be too. Looking at Mei Mei, Mary had to smile. She looked so lovely in the suit that Mary had ordered custom made for her. Classy, and yet still sexy. How fast these humans grow? Just a few years ago Mei Mei had been so young and raised in an ancient society so very different than the one on this world.

A fast learner, Mary had known right from the start she was special. Her drive, her intelligence, her perceptiveness, and her ability to work under pressure - showed Mary had made the right choice. She not only stayed loyal but she held the slaves together and worked towards finding ways to help the company get back on its feet and even expand. There was so much potential in all those in the Bonny Corporation but together they could accomplish even more than they could have apart. It all hinged on people working together.

After a moment she came back from her reverie. She gave a nod to Mei Mei, who took a seat at one end of the table. Mary sat down to her right. It was nearly time; the others would be arriving soon.

Joshua would be dressed up as well for the meeting, as he would follow Mary into the meeting room. Nodding to Mei Mei, before moving to sit down to her left. As Mary had asked him to come with her, seeing that she told him that this to was part of their business. Even if Mei Mei was the one over seeing it now.

Eric walked in the room, taking stock of Mary, Josh, and Mei Mei. Smiling, he was genuinely happy to be there and eager to get to business. He took a seat directly across from Mei Mei, he folded his hands on the table waiting paitently for Mary and Mei Mei to begin.

Next after Eric would be Calix, dressed in one of his finer suits. With a glance around to each person for a moment, followed with a polite bow of his head. He would then moved to sit down at the table, while placing one hand over the other on top of it. Turning his attention to Mei Mei, Mary and Joshua.

Lillianna

Lillianna inspected herself in the mirror, her dress was revealing enough for her taste, but more modest than her usual attire, it would do. She looked closer at her skin, it was starting to get a grey overtone to it, she would have to ask Mary about the girls so that she could bathe soon.

She left her room and made her way to the meeting room; tonight she would actually see the faces of those who she had only felt before, and they would see her. She stood outside of the doors for a moment with her eyes closed listening to and feeling the energy of those who were already in the room. Mary Read and her prot?g? were there, Lilianna had not had the pleasure of meeting the human girl as of yet, she had been busy since her arrival making sure that her living courters were in order. There was also two male vampires in the room, one she recognized by his scent from the blood magic that he had used on the property, and another male that smelled both of vampire and werewolf blood. She opened her eyes, pushed the doors open and entered the room.

They were all seated around a round table located in the center of the room. To the side of the doors stood a table set with crystal glasses and different beverages. She walked to the table , filled a glass with blood and picking it up turned and walked to the table she took a seat a little apart from the others, she didn?t like to be too close to anyone. She looked at and nodded to each of them politely and waited for someone to begin the meeting.

Mei Mei

Date: 2012-08-27 17:12 EST
Mei Mei had noticed Mary?s forlorn stare at the empty seats. She knew one of the people who would be missing tonight, whose job Mary was very reluctant to fill. It belonged to their Spiritual Adviser - Cadence. She remembered Cadence fondly, though as a slave she hadn?t really spoken much to anyone back then. But Cadence had been kind to all the slaves. Mei Mei spent a moment praying that she was well in the world and that they would find her soon. Maybe if even a whisper could reach them?

But then it was time to begin and she had to focus her mind on the task at hand. This was an important night for her. Time to put to good use all she had seen and learned in her life. She?d take a glass of red wine for herself before taking her seat ? Mary said it was good to set an example. How could the guests feel comfortable if you did not?

Mei Mei took her seat with Mary on her right and then Joshua on her left. She knew little of him but Mary had told her he was a great man and that was good enough for her. A smile and a bow of her head was given as he came to take his seat. She felt her confidence grow with them besides her.

She smoothed her suit, it was very nice, very? form fitting. Her dark hair was up in a bun with two silver chopsticks, as it always was. Her hand reached up and tucked back one of those defiant strands of hair that had slipped out behind her ear. Of course they would keep drifting into her face no matter what she did. Mary always said it framed her face well so she had given up trying to tame them.

Eyes were alight with her growing excitement as the time came. Normally dark, they took on a shade of gold that gave them the appearance of liquid mercury. Her energy was strong and vibrant - it always showed in her eyes. Being the only human did not make her nervous, though it did humble her. She knew that if beings such as these were to follow her? She needed to be not only a strong and worthy leader, but to always fully appreciate the honor they did her just by being here.

A respectful bow of the head would be given to each member of the corporation as they arrived. Then she would turn to Mary. This was her meeting and so she should speak first.

As everyone took their seats Mary would offer a smile and incline her head to them ? the new heads of the Bonny Corporation. ?Thank you all for coming. As you have all met me I?ll make my introduction brief. I am Mary Read, I helped build and run this company for near three hundred years. Now I am the proud owner of The Bonny Corporation.?

?To me this company is family, so all of you here gathered tonight are a part of that now. In public we must always present a united front, but here I invite you all to speak freely. Just be respectful of each other, keep things running smoothly, and it?s all good.? Said with an easy going smile. Her eyes were an icy blue, as they always were when focused or calculating, but her smile revealed her to be in good spirits.

?First I would like to introduce your new CEO ? Mei Bonny, to whom I am passing the responsibility of the posistion of CEO officially as of this meeting tonight. She is my god-daughter, my prot?g?, and the heir to this company. She will one day be made vampire, but for now it is good for business to have a young human face to represent The Bonny Corporation.? A small pause, she wasn?t sure whether to address such a delicate issue but might as well get it out of the way. Everyone should be open so she went on.

?As vampires, I know, we don?t always speak so highly of humans and that is fine. Just do not make the mistake of imprinting these prejudices on her. She has been raised in our world, as one of us. She is a strong, fiercely loyal, and very capable woman. She can tell you more about her innovative ideas on new directions to take the company and how this will allow us to expand and grow. I have complete confidence in her and so will you.? Said with a tone of finality.

Her eyes found Joshua and she smiled fondly. ?This is Joshua Marks, he is my new partner. Me and him will be working mostly out of Club Babylon, where we are opening a side business. It isn?t a public part of the B.C. but you all should be aware of it. We will be offering protection and mercenary services at a price. We feel the club will provide the perfect setting, with so many different people coming and going all the time. If appropriate you can get the word out to those that need such services but otherwise let?s keep it low key.?

She turned then to Calix and gave him a nod. ?Calix Aleta. He is a knowledgeable vampire who will be filling the role of Consigliere ? officially called Honorary Adviser. He knows Rhy?Din and its people better than anyone here. So he will be advising Mei directly on all matters. And I am sure he would be happy to assist with questions about people of interest. The B.C. has no enemies presently and as long as we can keep it that way we should.?

Then to Eric with a nod. ?Eric Northman, former Sheriff of Area 5 on Earth, and successful business owner. He is our new Security Adviser so I expect everyone to cooperate with him. It is his job to protect this company, all its people, and assets. Please keep him informed of anything eventful, whether it seems dangerous or not, as it is his job to be aware of any even potential threats. He will be helping us both here and in Club Babylon. He also has some information and ideas as to a new source of revenue - not to mention wondrous fun for us vampires - that will be discussed later on in the meeting.?

An amorous smile was flashed at Lillianna as she paused a moment. ?Lillianna. Sexy and powerful, a woman of many talents and mystery. She has agreed to be our new necromancer. Best be nice to her because if any tragedy were to befall you it will be your life, and your soul, in her hands. She is officially titled our Adviser of Death. She will be in charge of spirit protectors and undead soldiers. If you were to die we can provide you with a new body but it will be her expertise that will find your spirit and guide it home.? Another dramatic pause as she let that sink in. That would only be a small part of what Lillianna could do and they better respect her.

?Now you all know who each other are and what you do. Please do your best to communicate and offer each other assistance. You will all be doing your own things mostly; I like people to take initiative. Just make sure to keep Mei informed of what is going on at all times. Feel free to hire people, so long as Mei approves those you appoint. We don?t want anyone stepping on each others, or any of our business associates, toes here. Communication is vital.?

?Also, if anyone plans on committing any terrible atrocities please take care to clean up after yourselves. Everything you do now reflects on the company and we do have a business to run here. We have no Public Relations Adviser at this time, I ask you only to be mindful of actions that will reflect on us. No one thinks they can push us around and if they do it will be their downfall? There?s no need to impress on people that we are dangerous, they know. So let us be the best friendly and inviting of monsters we can.? Said with a wicked grin.

The company may be mostly comprised of creatures of darkness, but they would be the best at it. It would all be to their advantage and she knew they were all smart enough to see why. Besides, people who flaunt and boast have something to prove. The gathered company here was above such petty things.

?Mei has a few things she would like to add, but before we go on we would like to open the floor for any questions.?

Joshua Marks

Joshua would look to Mary as she spoke, with him placing a hand in a comforting and near fatherly way to Mei Mei's shoulder when she was introduced to the others. As if he were trying to let her know that Mary and himself would be there for her if she needed them for anything.

His gaze returned to Mary as she continued, with a soft smile in return. As he was finally seeing her in a more business position tonight. Gaze would move to the others as they were introduced, and again offered a polite bow of his head. Putting names and faces to memory, as well as each position that Mary had set them up to preform.

When she finished up, he mouthed a good job to her, before looking to the others. Seeing if any of them had any questions.

Lillianna

Date: 2012-08-29 12:09 EST
Lillianna smiled at Mary?s introduction of her it was very fitting, and she liked her title, ?Adviser of death.? There was no way for Mary to know that she was much more than a necromancer, in time she would show her other talents, possibly.

She nodded back to Joshua, acknowledging his greeting, and waited an appropriate amount of time to see if he would speak, he didn?t seem to have anything to say so she decided that since she didn?t have any questions outside of the obvious, did the Bonny Corporation have any use for her at the moment, she would at least start with a greeting to all that she had not met before now.

?Thank you for the introductions,? she said winking mischievously to Mary, still smiling at her own private thoughts, ?I would just like to add that I am looking forward to working with you all, and that if there is anything that you would like help with please ask me, as I have no private business at the moment I am fully able to be of help whenever.?

Eric Northman

Eric, as was his habit, studying the Room as Mary and Lilianna spoke. Mary vocalizing the new roles of each person, the respect given to each member, she will be a good financier and a pleasure to work with, he noted. He also noticed with approval the way Mary bolstered Mei without any hint of doubt toward the woman's capabilities.

Sitting down at the table he noted a few peculiar things about the smells of this room. Some were expected, such as the light scent of vampire blood coming from Mary, Calix, and Joshua. The overwhelming smell of Mei and her human body filled his nostrils, these things he came here expecting. What he did not expect to find was the unfortunate smell of werewolf blood tainting Joshua's otherwise normal vampiric countenance.
This man was a hybrid - Eric's heart went out to the poor soul, it must be hard bearing such an affliction.

The most peculiar thing however was what he could not smell. Not even the faintest smell of blood or even flesh escaped Lillianna, nor did her breath when she spoke carry any scent. This worried Eric, Mary's introductions and opening speech carried the implication that all present, save Mei, were Vampire. However Lillianna carried no marker of this in or on her body, her skin also was not the shade of a vampire whom is neither hungry nor sated. No, Lillianna had to be something else. These were Eric's impressions when he made his acquaintance to the board.

"Ms. Read, Ms. Bonny, thank you for the courteous introductions. Calix, Joshua, Lillianna, I am honored to make your acquaintances, and look forward to working alongside all of you as we embark on this journey of enterprise together." He eyed the crowd with a cool but pleasant demeanor. Holding a charming smile just beneath the surface of his businesslike fashion.

Turning to Mary and Mei alike, since part of this meeting was Mary's endorsement and announcement concerning Mei being CEO, he felt he aught to give proper respect to both women as if they were one. "I do have one question which I would Like to address toward our esteemed Advisor of Death." Eric now turned to face Lillianna, holding his hands together at the fingertips, his deep blue eyes searching her intently as he addresses the necromancer. "Lillianna in my millennia of life I have come to know many different creatures. You are different from all of them, voluptuous and beautiful as you are, unless I am mistaken, you are of no species that I have known. Given the honor due to your station here, I would like to give you the respect of addressing you properly. Therefore I must respectfully ask what exactly will I have the pleasure of working with??

Lillianna

Lillianna gave Eric a nod and a small smile as he addressed her, Calix, and Joshua, and after Mary and Mei. "I do have one question which I would like to address toward our esteemed Advisor of Death." Eric now turned to face her; she turned to face him back, looking interestedly at the vampire with an open and warm smile on her face.

Lillianna laughed out loud at his question, though she knew that it was a very valid one, and assumed a posture exactly matching Eric?s, then shape shifted into a perfect likeness of him. ?Many have tried to figure that out over the long years of my life,? she said in his voice, ?please let me know if you have any success.? She grinned at him once more, still using his face, before shifting back into the Lillianna that had walked into the room. She continued in her own voice, ?to be serious though, I have been many things over the years and to tell them all would take a very long time, and I feel that now is not the moment for that story, I do apologize if this is a problem for anyone.?

She looked around the table at the reactions on everyone?s faces with an innocent smile on her face. Maybe she had gone a little too far with the shape shift, but she just couldn?t help herself. ?Let them wonder what else I can do? she thought to herself as she tilted her head downward, looking up at them through her hair like a bashful young girl.

Eric Northman

Eric, at this point ready for anything, simply smiled and raised an eyebrow when Lilianna shifted into a likeness of him. This being was certainly interesting, shifters had a smell, she certainly wasn't a shifter, especially not a skinwalker. "Lilianna, one night we need to have a long conversation, you and I."

If she didn't want to get into the matter, forcing the issue would not help this meeting move ahead. Better to leave the explanations for a later date.

Calix Aleta

Date: 2012-08-30 11:30 EST
Calix remained quiet as Mary introduced everyone to each other, with another nod to Eric and Lillianna. Before looking between the latter two as they spoke, letting them finish their conversation. "As Mary already said. I have been in this town for a while, if you happen to see someone in town that you feel could help us out here. And feel you have questions about them. You can usually find me here or at the Red Dragon Inn, or just tell Rose Black that you are looking for me." A smile to each one.

"It will be a pleasure to work with each one of you to take the Bonny Corporation to the next level. One last thing. If ever there is a problem between anyone here, don't hide it from us. We are here to work together, so there could be moments that someone's pride gets hurt." Looking over each one now, before falling silent again.

Mary stared at Eric, Lillianna, and then Calix. Her face was impassive. These little personality conflicts were really minor. She'd have been happier if their were none but among territorial creatures it was bond to happen sometimes.

But they were getting off track now entirely. ?Yes, it is good we put pretenses aside and be open when in this room. We will have plenty of time to get to know each other, and I?m sure the more time we spend together the more comfortable we will be sharing.?

"Eric's only doing his job as Security Adviser, Lillianna is protecting herself and her privacy, and Calix... He's just concerned that this is going to turn into an argument it seems." Mary's smile had more than just a hint of malice to it now. There would be no fighting at her meeting.

"I think everyone here very capable of playing nice, so let us move on." Mary shifts her eyes to Mei. "I believe you have a lot to share, so please, take the floor."

Mei Mei

Date: 2012-08-30 19:15 EST
Mei?s bright eyes flickered back and forth between the people that she was supposed to be leading now. And since some of these questions were probably best left unanswered at present? It was time to bring everyone back to the task at hand. But Mary spoke first and that was as it should be. Who knows how much more Mary will be teaching her?

Being that she might not have Mary?s back up next time she was paying careful attention to how she handled the situation. It was almost like she could hear Mary in her head. ?It?s not about ?handling? them - it?s about giving them perspective. Not about right and wrong, but about understanding one another, even if we don?t agree.?

Mei was not sure why Cal felt the need to intervene. Mary had anticipated things may be a little tense and was directing it to be that way now while everyone would be acting their best. While she was on hand to help. ?Calix thinks he is circumventing a fight. Good intentions there too, but we can't have anyone suggesting we can?t bring our people to the common ground. Though he meant no such thing, it could be perceived that way. And you know what I?ve told you about appearances.?

?Everyone here may be different but in some ways, all people of all races, need some of the same things. They need to know their concerns have been not just expressed but heard.? Finishing up the lesson taking place in Mei?s mind as Mary shifted the attention back to her.

A glance to Mary, who nodded to Mei to proceed. Mei rose from her seat to address her advisers.

?I know my god-mother already said it, but I would like to thank you all again for coming. Members of the board, I am young and still learning. I expect to learn more with every day I spend in your company. It is an honor to be working with you all.? Said before giving a low bow to all.

?I would like to take this opportunity to share with you a big part of what I have been working on these past few years. I?ve been building off of some research I discovered, research that will give The Bonny Corporation a serious edge in the field of medicine. This can help people see the B.C. as the great family business it is. One who cares for the people of Rhy?Din and does right by them. A business they truly want to support and can get behind.?

?Now, whether you care about helping people, or just care that you have a healthy food supply? This is something we can all see the advantages too. With the information we have we can cure any disease that exists, and even those that surely will evolve in the future? We can create vaccines and medicines that are totally unique and will make us pioneers in our new field.?

?I need some proper scientists who can help me run tests and make sure we are good to go before I can start production. So I will need all of you on the lookout for people who could help with that. People who can be trusted and who can best utilize the priceless information we have at our fingertips.? She smiled with that bright, young, intense passion. She believed in what she was doing. ?Indeed, many would say we have an obligation to use it this way.?

?The next great step I am working on is a little more complicated but we can do it. We will find cures for supernatural and magical ailments. Some vampires and werewolves suffer from terrible silver allergies. Intolerance to the sun. Garlic.? Mei smiled at her guests, that excited energy making her radiant. ?I know they aren?t problems for everyone but whatever it is ? we have the power to fix it.?

A pause as she looked around at her advisers. ?I wanted to get straight to the bottom line, which is about health, image, money, and whether it matters to you personally or not - doing great deeds that will lead to more supporters and opportunities for expansion. All good for business? I left the technical parts out. But I?d be happy to clarify or get into the more technical aspects.? In fact, that looked like it would make her day if they did.

But more importantly was this - she had these great minds here together today to get their opinions before proceeding. And even if there was some friction ? this too can be turned to advantage. Having people who could look with different eyes and speak from different points of view. Not to mention sparks and disagreement often lead to the type of creative problem solving they cherished here.

?I would appreciate your feedback? Any questions or thoughts about this transition??

Eric Northman

Date: 2012-09-02 00:55 EST
Giving silent acknowledgement to each person as they spoke, Eric respectfully watched the room taking in all that was said. Calix's concern for the common interests of this meeting, and where to reach him when he?s not in the office. The strength behind Mary's pros and the sentiment that she put forth, which he appreciated, seeing that he agreed with her. When Mei took the conversation back to task, he took in all she had to say.

He silently grew excited by her passionate resolution to solve these medical dilemmas. The direction in which she wanted to move the company was a good one which he approved of. She herself pointed out, protecting our food supply was important, and curing the difficult ailments that sunlight and silver create was a topic that hit home with him.

He waited until Mei's eyes shifted to his then nodded slightly, letting her know he would like to say something. Placing his hands now on top of one another on the table. "This is an intriguing enterprise to enter into, the vampires of Rhy'Din as well as those on earth would rejoice at the ability to permanently walk in the sunlight. Not to mention the obscene profit and prestige you would be bringing to the Bonny Corporation providing a clean bill of health to the human population here. I applaud your resourcefulness and vision Mei, and will support you in this venture." He bowed his head to her respectfully. "Should you need any assistance from me, you need only ask."

Lillianna

Date: 2012-09-03 09:40 EST
Lillianna listened to Mei as she spoke, she did not care much about curing human diseases, she had more than one food supply so it would not matter much to her if they had problems, though she could see how it would negatively affect the vampires. Finding cures was necessary, it just did not interest her much.

When a cure for supernatural allergies and diseases was mentioned she became more interested and began to listen more intently, this was something that she might be able to help with.

It made sense when Eric fully, even excitedly, offered his support. The problem of vampire allergies would touch close to home for him, many of the vampires from earth, as well as other places, had at least one or more allergies, and by the look of his pale skin he was one who couldn't go out into the sunlight. A cure for things like that would mean a lot to him.

Once Eric was finished speaking she looked back to Mei, "I fully support you ideas, I approve of setting high goals, and the rewards of success would be great, for the company and those involved," she said with a smile at the young human, "I would like to help in any way that I can."

There was at least one way that she could give a lot of help, but she was not ready to bring the matter before everyone, not yet at least. Maybe a conversation with Mei in private was in order, and she would enjoy learning more about the girl.

Joshua Marks

Joshua glanced to Calix when he spoke up, and made a mental note to talk to him later. After the meeting was done, before turning his attention to Mei Mei as she started to lay out her plan for the future of the business. With a nod here and there to her words, as he would of supported her in what ever her choice would of been.

"You have my support as well, Mei Mei. If there is anything I can do to help you in this matter, just let me know. I know it would mean a lot to Mary, and to you as well. " Bowing his head to the woman.

Mary smiled as she watched Mei give her summary of the new direction the company would take. She appreciated the altruistic motives behind it all. What mattered as a company was concerned was profit - the bottom line. But if you could do good and make money than you had the best of both worlds.

"I have already given my approval to this course." A quick glance around at the others before her eyes focused on Mei again. "I am behind you one hundred percent." Though it had already been made clear... It was good to have it officially stated.

Mary's smile reflected her pride in her god-daughter. She gave a respectful nod to Mei. Returning the floor to her.

Calix Aleta

Date: 2012-09-09 11:31 EST
Calix caught the glance from Joshua, but didn't say anything before looking back to Mei Mei. With a smile crossing his lips to listening to her plans for the future of the company. Once she finished with her opening, he offered a bow of his head. "You have my full support as well, Mei Mei." Offering a smile to her.

Still looking at Mei Mei. "Mei Mei. I'd like to talk to you once we are finished here." Making that quick before going silent again, letting Mei Mei have the floor again.

Mei Mei

Date: 2012-09-19 13:49 EST
A nod was offered to each person in turn as they finished speaking. A soft smile graced her features as one by one they offered their support. It meant so much to her they were willing to embark on this journey with her. "Thank you for your support in this matter which means a lot to me personally as well as to the Bonny Corporation's future and image."

"Next I would like to give the floor to Eric. He has come to us with some very interesting information." A smile and a nod to Eric. "Would you please fill in the rest of the board on what we have spoken about."

Eric Northman

Date: 2013-04-07 13:54 EST
Taking the que from Mei, Eric rose from his seat and cleared his throat.

"As most of you well know, throughout the past millennia I have spent a considerable amount of my time in the presence of mortals, specifically the realm of Earth. As overrun Earth may be by mortals, they are not the only creatures that stir on that realm, many different variety of creatures stalk its undercurrents, and I have had the pleasure of tasting most of them. One specifically interesting sort, is the Fae of the Summerlands, they seem to fancy human mortals as erotic play toys, and hence frequent the realm of earth quite sporadically."

Looking the room over Eric continues, seemingly lost in the past of his own story.

"In Earth?s year of 2006AD, there was a short yet humorous war between two factions of these Fae, which to my delight spilled over into the area in which I was concurrently sheriff. During this time I grew to know these creatures well enough, but more importantly, I had ample chance to taste them."

Eric took a deep inward breath, reliving in his memory, the vintage of which he was speaking.

"Magic, my friends, It?s in the blood. It?s why we vampires need it to survive, its how all gifted creatures breed. And in the sea of all creatures Hematology, is where you will find it. The Fae are drenched in magic, they are by far the most common creature that is saturated by it. And similarly it can be tasted and integrated by us for a time. In short, this blood can give us several advantages, after sampling a small bit of it, we vampires become stronger, faster, and immune to sunlight, among other inebriating effects. These effects only last a small while, however, it is my belief that with the right facilities, and the right teams procuring this resource, that this is blood could lead us into a very lucrative drug line, that could be very beneficial to The Bonny Corporation, and a wonderful flagship for our new pharmaceutical branch."

Taking his seat, Eric folds his hands together, and continues.

"On earth they have a saying, that if you want to know who truly holds the power, follow the money. Well, the truth in this matter is that you must follow the blood."

Mei Mei

Date: 2013-04-13 18:11 EST
Mei listened attentively as Eric spoke. Her eyes cold and calculating as they flicker around the table, watching her advisers for their reactions. When he finished she inclined her head to him respectfully. ?I think we can all see the promise here. Obviously, this could be a big hit for recreational purposes at the club? But more important is figuring out how to take this further and what we can use it for.?

?Before we can get there we have one problem to address? how to get as much of that blood as possible. I will be working on how to clone it. We'll need to see whether or not the magical properties can be duplicated by such means?? A pause as she looked from one person to the next, her eyes now very intense. ?In the mean time we need something to work with. So what I want from everyone now is a quick brainstorm session on how to obtain as much of this blood as we can.?

?I would like to mention that there are many prominent members of the community here in Rhy?Din with fairy blood. So while I am happy to hear any and all suggestions? Discretion is going to be key in maintaining our corporate secrecy and peace with the citizens of this world.? A slow sweeping gaze was given to all as she considered her words. Mei knew a change in direction was all well and good in theory but getting there was going to take some work. And perhaps some underhanded things would be necessary behind the scenes. ?I could go on but I am sure you all understand my meaning??

A mischievous smile returns that golden glow to her dark eyes. She was anxious to hear from the others and keep her mind on the task. Time to open back up the floor. ?So? Let?s hear some ideas.?

Lillianna

Date: 2013-04-18 11:10 EST
Lillianna looked at the others around the table, when no one spoke up she took it as her cue.
She stood up, taking the floor.

"I believe that my skills could be very useful in this endeavor," she said looking directly at Mei Mei, "if we use spirits instead of physical beings to harvest the blood that we need it would be much harder to trace back to the Bonny Corp. I have no particular love for the Fae, and would have no problems draining them of however much blood is needed."

She would enjoy the chance to cause some trouble for the Fae, they had caused enough trouble for her children over the years and deserved to have someone cause them trouble for a change.

"I, however do not know the families of Rhydin, and will have to do some research so as not to cause too much of a stir with the killings," she continued, "We will want this to blow over as quickly as possible so there won?t be any questions later."

She smiled to herself; the game of stealth was always her favorite. Her love had taught her how to avoid detection in the years that she had to remain in hiding; it was a matter of survival in those days, now it was second nature to her. She shook her head, breaking her thoughts of the past, though a sad smile lingered on her lips as she looked once again around at the members of the council. She sat down again, leaving the floor open to any suggestions that anyone else might have.

Calix Aleta

Date: 2013-04-23 11:34 EST
Calix remained silent as Eric spoke, with his attention turning to the man. With one brow rising just a touch as he listened to the man's story, with a light bow of his head when he finished. Gaze then shifted to Mei Mei when she spoke, with a light nod to her in support, before looking to Lillianna when she started to speak. Pondering her words for a moment, before looking around at the others.

"As for the families of Rhy'Din? They range from those that are mortal to those of various races. Some are peaceful with some being rather brutish in nature. My advice is to leave the families here be, as there are those that would start looking into any attacks upon them." Rising to his feet as he started to speak with a glance over those present.

"But that doesn't mean that we can't target them. If we have a few blood banks in town that we control. We could let the people come to us. If we chose to use the targets that Eric and Lillianna suggested." Now a smirk crossed his lips as he looked around at the others again. Lillianna might like this idea.

"Do so outside of the city limits, and cover our tracks. With no body and no one to report the deed. There will be no way to trace it back to us. Which should keep any would be investigations to a minimal or nil at all. I can help in making those bodies disappear if it comes to that." Not one to dwell on his former profession, and that what how he prefer to keep it. He then looked to Mei Mei, as this was more towards her, but felt no need to hide this anymore.

"One last thing. I have decided to let Rose Black go from her obligations to me. She should be able to help us in this as well."Bowing his head to Mei Mei then the others as he moved to sit down again, leaving the others to ponder his suggestions.

Lillianna

Date: 2013-04-23 14:04 EST
Lillianna listened as Calix spoke, nodding her understanding, though disappointment, of his warning about any attacks on the families within Rhydin, the blood banks would be a good idea there, she would do any research necessary to lure them in, but otherwise leave that part up to the others unless they asked for her help.

Her interest was caught however by the smirk on his face as he continued. She hadn?t given any thought to what lay outside of the city walls, why would she when what she came for was right here? But the game of hunting might prove to be more fun out there, where there was space and no one to oversee what she did, this thought brought a big smile to her face which lit her green eyes up as plans formed in her mind. She would need no help, but it might be fun to have someone to hunt with again?

The last part about Rose Black, whoever she was, also caught her interest, who was she that her service was a matter to bring before the board? she quickly brushed it aside, noticing that he was looking toward Mei Mei when he spoke she guessed that this was not really for her benefit at all.

Brushing back her hair she once again spoke, looking at Calix with her green eyes sparkling with excitement, ?thank you for your words of warning, as I said I am ignorant of the ways of this city and those of the families here as well,? she said, ?In my profession I have not found the need for help with getting rid of any bodies, as they hide themselves when I give the command, however I am not partial to hunting alone,? here she glanced around at everyone seated at the table, including them all, almost daring them to accept, ?if anyone would like to join I would be happy to hunt with others.?

She left off at that, there were a few more questions that she had, but they didn?t need to take up the whole board?s time, she would ask Mei Mei later, and besides her mind was full of ideas to make getting the blood more interesting.

Mei Mei

Date: 2013-04-23 23:26 EST
A smile with just a hint of darkness played across Mei?s face as she listened to Lillianna?s offer. She could tell they had yet to scratch the surface of the mysterious lady?s talents. All that aside though? Mei appreciated initiative and Lillianna definitely had that.

Her attention turned to Calix as he gave his input. A nod was given to him in appreciation for his insight. ?We must proceed carefully if we want to make this change in our image. The blood bank is something I?d like to get up and running as soon as possible. There is so much we can learn from the secrets hidden in the blood. Anyone who is willing to give a little helps every life we can save or improve with our work. Hopefully there are those who will share in these ideals and we?ll receive lots of donations??

She leaned back in her chair with a small frown. ?Unfortunately we are still in need of someone to fill the PR position and I want to have that figured out before we announce anything. I was hoping they could help people to see past the vampiric associations of the business and into the possibilities of what we can offer to the people of this realm.?

?If anyone has any suggestions as to who could fill this role? some professional advice on how to present this to the populace is in order. And in the mean time? I leave it up to you all to do your best to collect the blood without doing anything that will compromise our position.?

?As for Rose Black?? A glance was shared with Mary before returning her gaze to Calix. ?There is so much more she could be doing and it seems keeping her busy would be wise. Mary and I have been discussing this subject, given her insights into the angel?s situation? If you do not need her anymore, let us give her some more responsibility.?

Mei turned her thoughtful eyes to Eric, after a moments consideration, she cemented her decision. ?Eric, I know Mary wants your help with managing Club Babylon and on top of your responsibilities as head of security? You could use the extra hands. Take Rose on as your assistant - see what use you can make of her.?

A smirk pulled at the corners of Mei?s lips as she fixed Eric with a meaningful gaze. Eric had shared her concerns over having the mind breaker with uncertain alliances among them? Now he could keep an eye on Rose himself.

Eric Northman

Date: 2013-05-03 00:55 EST
Eric sat there, not moving, not breathing, taking in all that was said. At the point where the conversation was brought back to him, he simply returned Mei Mei's gaze for a long while.

After this long pause he simply folded his hands together, in his signature prayer like yet businessman's visage, and replied with simplicity, displaying no discernible emotion in his words.

Excellent....
Now I must excuse myslef, there are allot of preparations to make.

Saying farewell to the group with a simple nod of his head, he got up, and left the room.

Indeed. He had allot of preparations to make.

Mei nodded her understanding to Eric. ?By all means, go ahead and get started. I will let you know what other duties we will be assigning to Rose when the time comes. I believe she may be of use to us in the medical advancements with her knowledge of how the brain works. Please keep me updated as to her progress.?

Mary had remained silent and apparently impassive throughout all the discussions, simply observing those around the table as they spoke. Her expression displayed no emotion or reaction to what was said, merely attentiveness. Though when Lillianna gave her invitation to join in her hunt, Mary exchanged a brief glance with Joshua. Being as close as they were, no words need be exchanged verbally or mentally to know the others thoughts.

After Eric left the room she turned her eyes back to Lillianna. ?As per your invitation... Me and Joshua can hunt well with others too.? Those cold blue eyes had an excited green creeping into them that the thrill of the hunt brings. ?I tire of being behind a desk and am anxious to get back to working with my hands.?

A playful smile and a wink were given to Lillianna. ?Let us know the when and where and you?re on.?

Lillianna

Date: 2013-06-12 12:29 EST
Lillianna returned Mary?s smile, she was delighted at the acceptance of her invitation for them to join the hunt, ?the more the merrier? she thought to herself.

?I have a few preparations that I will need to get out of the way before I am ready to hunt,? she replied, ?but I will execute them as soon as possible, and will be delighted to have you and Joshua join me.?
There was a note of excitement in her voice as she spoke.

She turned her glance to Mei Mei ?Alas I will require a moment of you time as well,? she said, ?there are a couple of questions, and an offer that might interest you that I wish to discuss, if you could let me know when you are free we can get things underway.?

Mei Mei

Date: 2013-06-17 10:35 EST
Lillianna had piqued her interest and these were clearly matters of importance. ?Of course, if you can stay, I promise you will have my undivided attention in moment.? She looked around the table at the other board members. ?I believe we are done here. You all have a good idea of where were heading and what your responsibilities are. If any of you need anything feel free to come to me whatever the hour.?

?Meeting adjourned. Thank you all for your time. Please keep me posted as to all developments.? She would give a bow of her head to all as they left and wait for the chance to speak with Lillianna privately.

"Just let us know when you're ready." Was said in response to Lillianna. "You've got my number... Or you can always come find us at the club. We'll be around."

Mary stood and gave Mei an approving nod. Strong emotions ran through her at this moment, though she wouldn't show them. Except with her eyes, which shifted to a soft brown as she looked on her god-daughter. Mei was now officially in charge and Mary was so proud of her. It was almost unbelievable given how far she had come to get here... yet she'd done it.

A smile was given to her and then a single bow to those still in the room. Of course she would always be there for her family? but now she would pursue a something of a personal life as well. It was about time she got to have a life of her own.

Her smile brightened as she turned to take Joshua by the hand and leave with him.

Lillianna

Date: 2013-06-18 20:07 EST
Lillianna waited as the others filed out of the room, then stood and walked back and forth along the table, trying to collect her thoughts and put into words what she wanted to tell Mei Mei without giving too much about herself away, she had a long and complicated past that she wasn?t sure she wanted to be known, at least not yet.

She turned at last to meet Mei?s eyes, ?First, and this is the less complicated matter for which I asked to speak to you,? she began, ?I am in need of personal blood slaves, I say personal because I need them to be virgins and to remain so while they are in my service, I have arranged a living space for them within my quarters for their comfort and protection, I was wondering if you could help me to find around twenty such women who would be up to the task.?

She paused for a moment, not only to give Mei Mei time to respond, but also to give herself time to be sure that she had figured out the best way to tell Mei Mei about her proposal.

Mei Mei

Date: 2013-06-19 11:05 EST
Right to business, Mei nodded. ?It shouldn?t take long to obtain twenty such girls, most of the slaves we purchase are virgins. Before I quote a time though I need to know the exact specifics of what you are looking for.?

Having the vague sense of taking an order at a restaurant, she repeated Lillianna?s request to make sure she had it right. ?So you need twenty virgins, female? Is there an age range you would prefer? Cultural background, body type, trained or untrained??

They usually went for untrained girls at Bonny Corporation, for many reasons. But finding virgins that had already been trained wouldn?t be too difficult either. They had many contacts, arrangements could be made.

Lillianna

Date: 2013-06-19 11:48 EST
Lillianna liked Mei Mei's efficiency, even though she had never taken orders from a human, she would enjoy working for this woman.

"Untrained is fine, I will only be using them for blood purposes for the time being," she responded, "ages should be between eighteen and twenty-five, the younger the better, but I want them to be fully mature."

She thoughts for a moment and then "Also I need them to be human, no other species, I have to make especial care to check that they have no angel blood in them." she hoped that her serious tone would impart how important this was, but Mei Mei was a very capable woman, even if she was young, she would be able to meet Lillianna's requirements.

"oh and I would prefer that they don't scare easily," added as an after thought, "my quarters are well protected by demons and spirits, and I would rather the girls be able to live around them without too much fear as they are there for their protection."

Mei Mei

Date: 2013-06-19 15:08 EST
She caught the emphasis on the need for the girls to be without any angel blood and thought a moment before responding. ?The majority of the girls we acquire are pure human to my knowledge? I believe there was some intermixing of blood on earth at certain times though and if any amount of it has been passed down? Well I can devise a test to make certain that none of it exists within the ones I get for you.?

?If that is all the specifications you require I?ll be able to have them to you by tomorrow. I was due to supervise a trip to our favorite time and location for these dealings.? A sad smile as she explained, ?Miss Calico Bonny created a portal that goes directly to ancient China and the prices we get are incredibly low there. Even being what the people would think of as overly generous our profit margin is well worth the trip.? It was in fact how Mei herself had found her way into this time and place.

?As for them being skittish when it comes to your... friends? The girls are often superstitious but being from that time you don?t have the shock and disbelief that you get from people in present day Earth. A bit of vampiric influence and they can become acclimatized rather quickly? If you?d like I can arrange for that but it will take an extra day or two, depending on the girl.

But so long as she had understood Lillianna's needs correctly, this request would be a simply enough matter. It would be dealt with promptly.

Lillianna

Date: 2013-06-19 16:33 EST
"Thank you, it would be well worth the extra time for them to not be frightened," Lillianna replied, "I want their lives to be as comfortable as I can make them."

There was a moments hesitation before she continued, ?Secondly, and this is more important to the Bonny Corporation, you spoke of studying and working on creating cures for supernatural and magical diseases.? She looked deeply into Mei Mei?s eyes as she spoke, hoping that the young girl would use discretion with the information that she was about to impart to her. ?I believe that I have a lot to offer you, outside of the Fae blood, for this endeavor, as it is important to me as well to see cures found, not just as it would be good for the Bonny Corporation but I also have a personal stake in this matter in my love for the supernatural beings whom I dislike seeing suffer, I hold them close in my heart as a mother would her children.? Here she broke off, collecting her thoughts again, and hoping that she hadn?t let too much slip with that comment.

She cleared her throat and began again, ?I am old, older than anyone that you know or have ever met, as one who has spent a lot of time around vampires that should mean a lot to you.? She stood and began to pace again as she continued, ?As you all witnessed earlier I am not strictly a vampire, nor am I any creature that you have ever met before, something that Eric keyed in to when I was introduced to everyone; I drink blood but it is not strictly my diet, I can shift my skin, but am not a skin walker, I also turn into a wolf, but am not werewolf either, there is much more that I can do as well, I have traits that can be found in each supernatural creature, I however do not have any of their allergies, or ailments that came along as the years passed,? She stopped and turned to look at Mei Mei, though her eyes still had a look as though she were seeing visions far away, ?I am old enough that my blood is unsoiled, my DNA is pure, I would be willing to give you a sample of my blood to study, in it you might find some of the cures that you are looking for.?

She smiled as her eyes returned to the present, ?I would ask however that no one else knows of this unless it is completely necessary, there are just too many questions that I would rather not be asked at this time, and there are those who would ask those questions, whereas I have not lied I have kept some things to myself and will continue to do so, I know that this statement is unnecessary, however I do feel the need to state the importance to myself that few know much about me. By giving you my blood I am trusting you fully with this.?

With that said she returned to her seat, though the excitement that she felt at explaining even so small and vague a part of herself to someone still shone in her eyes, and in a slight tremble of her hands and they lay folded upon the table.

Mei Mei

Date: 2013-06-21 20:40 EST
Mei?s eyes were alight with her own excitement and curiosity as she pondered the possibilities? Lillianna?s words took a moment of silent contemplation to absorb. Mei hadn?t been sure exactly what Lillianna was beyond a necromancer? but seeing as how she was new? well, Mei had figured everything in good time. Mary had vouched for her, and that was enough for now.

But Lillianna?s words had gotten her thinking? She?d have to revisit the implications later though. Right now she was offering Mei a possible solution to her problems that may make the bloodshed minimal? if not completely unnecessary. Though she wouldn?t know if it would be applicable until she had a chance to examine the sample herself and it would take time?

When she spoke her tones were soft and serious, ?I understand your need for discretion. The samples you provide will not have any record of being attached to you. We will proceed with the collection of fairy blood in the mean time. Holding to the present course will avoid attracting unneeded attention to this other avenue as we explore it? If we can do something with it, everyone will assume we found the cure in the fairy blood and if it doesn?t? Well, at least we need not put our eggs all in one basket.?

Now that she had decided what to do, she gave Lillianna an appreciative smile. Whoever she was, she was putting herself out there and that made her a worthy ally. Mei?s respect for the woman seemed to grow every time she spoke. ?It seems we share a passion that will save so many from suffering and even death when we succeed.? And they would succeed. There was a way; she had but to find it. If anyone had the passion and singular focus to see it through, it was Mei.

?Since you do feel so personally, and understand how much this means? The best way to thank you, I think, will be when we see these cures in action.? Mei smiled brightly to Lillianna. They may not know each other well yet, but as of now, she was the only person who seemed to care about this as much as Mei did. ?But for now? I thank you for sharing this vision with me. It means more than I can say to find someone else who cares so deeply about this.?

Lillianna

Date: 2013-06-27 10:54 EST
Lillianna noticed a moment of hesitation go through Mei Mei?s eyes as she spoke, maybe she had said too much, ?oh well? what is done is done,? she thought to herself.

Mei?s confirmation of discretion set her nerves at rest; they would be able to proceed without any repercussions to her, which was good. She smiled back at Mei as she spoke, noticing the determination in the young woman, if any could succeed at this endeavor it was this girl, she had the drive and the resources, Lillianna would back her up in any way that she could.

?No thanks is needed,? she responded, ?I have not been able to contribute much as of yet, and this is one way that I know I can help, if there is any other way, please let me know,? she paused for a moment before continuing ?until that time however I will begin with finding the Fae outside of the city and collecting their blood.?

She felt that there was really no more to be said on the matter at this time, but left it up to Mei Mei to end their meeting.

Mei Mei

Date: 2013-06-30 12:51 EST
Mei hadn?t been too thrilled to make the decision to endorse this bloodshed, but until she had started and had made a success of the blood bank, it was what had to be done... But she needed help with that. Help she didn?t yet have until she found a new PR rep. And now she simply had one more reason for continuing down this path.

No, she knew she?d made the right call. Mary had taught her there was nothing more important than family, and these gifted individuals were her family now. She felt honored to have them with her. No sense in being squeamish, she would stay the course and do whatever it took to do right by them.

A nod was given in response to Lillianna?s statement of leaving. ?We should go to the labs first and get some samples. They are empty now so it will be the perfect time.? Mei had been managing the labs by herself and she wanted to get to work as soon as possible.

?That will give me a chance to work on them before your return.? Then she would have much more to juggle... She really needed to find someone to head up the labs soon.

Lillianna stood, walked around the table and offered her arm to Mei Mei, "Please lead the way," she said with a smile.
