Sandrine approached the over done office building. Must they make everything so complicated and extravagant? She was in a rage to be sure, her eyes glowing green in the darkness as she approached the front gate.

Why the hell had she agreed to work for these filthy vampires at that cesspool they called a club? Oh yeah, they had gotten her with that whole "our ladies need protection" line. All you have to do is blend in and stay under cover in case they ever need help.

No one will expect you because no one will even know you work here. It was a pay check for her and Samantha. It kept them in a so called "legitimate" line of work.

Now though she had business here at the home office. Business of a very personal nature.

She stood in a very irritated and impatient pose as she rang the bell. She would rudely hold it down until someone came down to let her in.

Calix looked up to hearing the door bell to the building, being pressed and held for a moment. Wondering who the rude person was, before bringing up the surveillance cameras and smirked a touch to seeing Rose's sister. About that time, Mei Mei called his office.

Picking the phone up. "Go ahead and send her in. I already know why she is here and why she is ticked off. I'll handle this situation, so you don't have to." After getting a touched of a worried alright from Mei Mei. He looked to Rose who was sitting at her desk.

"Your sister is here and on her way up." Murmured to the woman as he turned his attention to the door of his office, now motioning Rose to move to stand beside him. This was going to be interesting now.

Rose too felt her sister as she neared. She quickly changed into something more presentable. Throwing some smooth black flairs and a nice black silk shirt on. Not that her sister hadn't seen her prance around in skimpy clothes before but... she had sense enough to know her sister was not in the best of moods.

When she came to the door it would fly open and Rose jumped her sister. Hugging her so hard that it hurt.... Rose that is. Sandrine was very hardy.

"Sandrine! I'm so glad you came! I'm so sorry I didn't come to you first - I should have." She said with an apologetic smile as she held her but gave her some breathing room.

She pretended not to notice her extended claws as she looked her over. "You look great! Oh I've missed you so much!" Said as she pulled her into another hug. Not giving a chance for her stunned twin to get a word in yet.

Sandrine was disarmed by Rose to say the least. Her eyes softened as her twin held her in her arms but she didn't move. She had been about to murder someone a minute ago and now here was her other half alive and well.

She had no idea how worried she'd been until the moment she saw that Rose was okay... Not just okay but happy. Just hearing her voice was like heaven. Finally she looked Rose over too and aside from those bite marks in her neck she was looking better than ever.

She nodded when Rose apologized and said she should have come to her first. Whispering softly, "You should have..."

Then her attention was caught by the vampire behind her. Addressing her and trying to act all polite and manners. Her body tensed... With difficulty she made those claws slide back in through her flesh.

"The new honorary associate huh? I sure hope you do a better job than the last one." Her eyes had a dangerous glint as she stared at him but at least they were hazel again.

Turning back to Rose whom she knew was intentionally holding her to keep her still. "It's okay Rose. Now that I know you're safe I'm okay. I would like to meet the man who apparently saved your life now."

Looking to back to Calix a very dark smile crossed her face like a shadow. "In fact I was hoping maybe we could talk alone for a moment before I catch up with my sister. If that is alright?"

Sandrine's eyes narrowed as he told Rose what to do. Granted it was exactly what she had just asked her to do, and what she wanted her to do, but it still ticked her off. Though after Rose, who had clearly been about to protest nodded and turned to leave, Sandrine did her best to give her a reassuring smile. Rose just gave her a mean stare that Sandrine understood loud and clear.

She stepped in and shut the door behind her. She didn't take the seat he offered. Just stood there and glared at him for a long moment. Trying not to say all the nasty things coming to mind. Searching for more diplomatic ways of speech. It wasn't something she knew how to do though.

"What the hell do you think you are doing with my sister?" She blurted out loudly. It was nicer than some of the things she had wanted to say.

"You realize she is vulnerable right now and you are taking advantage. She is not going to be your personal blood bank or whatever it is you think she is." Hands slam down on the desk.

"Just because she is trusting and has been taken in by you doesn't mean I don't know better. And I'll be damned if I'll let her stay here with you."

True she knew nothing about Calix or what was going on here but she didn't need to. She had watched Rose get involved with the wrong people too many times and she wasn't going to lose her again. Sure, she knew she couldn't stop Rose from doing exactly what she wanted. But that didn't mean she wouldn't try.

She stared at him for a long time in silence after he spoke. Finally she collapsed into the chair, putting a hand to her forehead. She looked tired, she'd had a long night. The smell of fresh blood proof of that.

"Calix, my sister has helped me out of a few bad spots in my life... But she never seems to let me repay the favor. No matter how much trouble she gets into she has to deal with it herself."

She shook her head as she looked at him with an ironic smile. "And you're telling me that she is accepting help and protection... from you?" It was painful and took some of that fire straight out of her.

He really was a son of a.... He touched her. She cringed visibly as every muscle in her body tensed. She commanded herself not to strike out but it wa not easy. She didn't care if he was the saint of all vampires she was not going to trust him.

But when Rose came back in she tried to smile. She was happy to see her but it was a lot to take in just right now. "You know that me and Sam are married now... Lily is six... You've still got family who love you... You should come see us some time."

Getting to her feet she embraced Rose and then left the office in a hurry. She followed Calix's sent. She didn't want him to get away without one last word.

"First of all, don't ever touch me again. And second, if you harm my sister... I will kill you." Her face was dead set. She meant it.
