A conference room was prepared, supervised by Mary personally. There were several slaves moving about, organizing a delightful variety of food ? for those who indulged in such things. Not to mention a vast array of beverages.

Mary was taught by Anne to always be prepared? to expect the unexpected. This extended not just to having pretty much everything a person could desire as far as food, drinks, blood wine - blood slaves for those that preferred to feed directly. All this was just polite when you were having guests. Madame Kiki had already sent along several wraiths that would be keeping an eye on things and make helpful unseen servants should something come to pass that required their assistance.

All the slaves present were beautiful women, which was her preference. No one had chosen to indulge their blood lust at any of her meetings so there probably wasn?t even need of them. But they would be present all the same - silent and happy to give of themselves. Mary didn?t like having slaves that were unhappy with their position. So over the years Anne and her had collected these willing ones. Caring for them all lavishly ? but these three were their favorite.

One, named Sasha, was a stunning red head with sea green eyes. Another was Chinese with eyes of liquid mercury and soft fine black hair. She liked to be called Mei Mei. Calico had presented her to Mary as a gift when she first created the portal to old China ? which had turned out to be very useful indeed. A little known fact was that the girls talents extended far beyond serving drinks and blood donations; she was very skilled at fighting and knew all sorts of ways to kill a person. The third had fine blond hair - so light it was almost white - with piercing blue eyes that had a hint of something supernatural to them. She had been with Anne and Mary the longest. Her name was Catherine and she had clearly tasted of vampiric blood before.

As the last of the tables were set up Mary sat down. She rarely got a break to just sit these days. Since Anne?s sudden departure? she had thrown herself into her work - missing her fianc? horribly every day. She tried to keep busy to avoid thinking about it. Everything reminded her of Anne? These quiet moments were when she felt it most. Her and Anne?s engagement was going to be a long one it seemed, but this was not uncommon with vampires, whose perception of time was different due to their extended life span.

Mary still felt incomplete without her soul mate. But she would do her best to make her lady love proud, assuring her company would do well in her absence. However this goal wasn?t just for Anne? Mary had come to think of her company more as a family. They were the real reason Mary had decided to stay in Rhy?Din and take over the business. She loved them and cared for them. She would see this company succeed for all their sakes. But the issue today was not just about the future of the Bonny Corporation, but all of Rhy?Din.

As the building used to enter the main office had been repaired, Marguerite was already waiting there to show people in. She would use her supernatural senses to be sure those that arrived were who they were supposed to be. She would let no one through that hadn?t been invited. For those who were invited however? They would be greeted very friendly and escorted into the building and straight to the conference room.

Once in the room they would find a round table with chairs, as well as a few tables set up off to the side with the neatly arranged selection of food and beverages. The girls standing quietly next to them ? dressed in their finest Chinese silk - ready to get anything that was desired by the guests. Mary herself was wearing a very form fitting suit, her hair pulled back in a tight bun. She asked Mei Mei to please get her some wine, polite as always. All the girls looked at Mary with adoring eyes. After the Mei Mei had given Mary the beverage, Mary smiled and thanked her. Here she would wait, with a file of papers full of information set on the table before her. Everything was in order for the guests to arrive.

::Cadence entered the room with a polite hello to Marguerite, who promptly escorted her to the conference room. She had actually taken the time to comb her hair and put on a new dress. It was a dark blue mostly, that really brought out a glow to her eyes and showed off some cleavage. Cadence seemed very content as she came in, finding Mary she moved to her first to give her a hug. Cadence was a hugger these days::

Mary yous look so pretty! Thanks for inviting me. Where should I sit?

Mary's features were lit up by a smile as Cadence entered the room. Setting down the wine she had been about to take a sip before rising to embrace her. "Cadence I am so glad you made it." She responded to the compliment with an embaressed smile and a slight blush. "Oh thank you." The question was then answered. "You may sit where ever you like."

Taking her seat once more her eyes, which had been their usual focused ice blue, shifted to a soft brown as they studied her. "How are you?" Mary inquired, her head slightly quirking to one side. "Have I mentioned I love your new look? Oh and if you need anything to eat or drink..." A sweeping motion of her hand towards the tables full of food and drinks. "You can help yourself, or my sweet Mei Mei" Indicates the Chinese girl "Will be happy to get you something." Mei Mei took a step forward with a polite bow of her head to Cadence, waiting for instructions.

"How are you?" Mary inquired, her head slightly quirking to one side. "Have I mentioned I love your new look? Oh and if you need anything to eat or drink...

Oh.. I'm doing good... Starving actually. Don't know why but...

::her gaze was caught on the food, though with a definite longing while she spoke. It was hard to take her gaze from it as she was introduced to Mei Mei, but she managed to part sight from the delicious view and give Mei Mei a polite bow of her head along with a genuine smile::

Nice to meet yous Mei Mei. I think maybe I gonna need yous help getting some food. One plate isn't going to be enough. I'm starved!

::she grinned and giggled, somewhat embarassed by her hunger. She didn't know why she was so hungry. It felt like days since she ate. It must've been the gummy bears she'd been eating all day. They just didn't feed her right or something::

I might even have three ...

::she headed for the food and it wasn't long at all before Cadence and Mei Mei had three plates full of food plus a glass of wine. Where she was going to put it all, Cadence would figure it out as she ate it. She sat down next to Mary, on her left, and began to eat::

Kalinda Acheron

As it would never do to be fashionably late to a business meeting, Kalinda took great pains to be there as close to the time specified as she could possibly be. In fact, the task that took the longest was drying the flowing mane of reddish-blonde hair to her expectations.

For simplicity's sake, she had chosen a light sarong in ice blue to wrap about her waist, and a narrow tie-backed halter. The cold never bothered her, after all.

Carefully, she made her way to the conference room, smiling politely as her eyes quickly glanced over the five women present. Bowing a greeting, she chose a seat and made ready to wait patiently for the meeting to begin.

Madame Kiki

Date: 2008-01-26 03:31 EST
Madame "Kiki" Delfoart showed up for the meeting a little late. Her old bones did not respond well to light, and she knew the woman she called Boss (only half-ironically) would forgive her tardiness. She entered without any companion - save, of course, the spirit of her dead husband, who was at her side almost always. The raven Brix, she left home... while powerful, the demon-bird was not very wise, and had little discretion.

As for the meeting itself, she was not pleased. The illustrious Corporation was getting its hands dirty with politics? As long as they were dealing low on behalf of evil people, there were more profitable bargains to be struck. And besides - whatever had become of Club Babylon, their dreams of being a real business? She was afraid that Mary had become sidetracked by personal feelings. But after so many centuries of fair dealing, she owed Mary the chance to prove her wrong.

So she sat demurely in the meeting on candidates, nodding her greetings to those she knew, a small smile to those she did not. And she waited to hear Madame Read's plans to rock the vote, with only a little irritation. This election had already touched her with its foul corruption... what else but the very Devil could drive her to agree with the notorious Jewell Ravenlock? About anything? The blue-haired brat was a fool, and anything that drove a lady such as herself to associate with her was bad by definition. She despised the election, this cast of monsters and strangers who played games with voters' heads.

Though she hid it well she was also a little impatient. All this tension made her want to get home to her dear husband. There was a body in the basement, meticulously preserved. She longed only to slip into the stiffness of its arms, and hear her own husband whispering love-words to her. In trying times, the strongest of women need the most comfort.

CalicoBonny

Calico walked in trailing Kiki. She had been pretending that the black woman was a black panther, and stalking her... or had Cally been a panther just a moment before? She got confused sometimes. She tasted blood. Where was she?

The meeting room. No bad memories here, but what did that mean? She sometimes didn't remember things. "You can't keep me out!" Calico said to Mary defiantly, in case one of the things she'd forgotten was Mary rejecting her. Everybody hated Calico eventually, it was one of those law-of-averages things.

What was the meeting about? No matter. "The parrot says you lie," she said to Mary in a quieter voice. "He says my father is back. Why didn't you tell me, mother? Where to find him." Her voice quavered. "He wasn't at my wedding. I didn't know who he was besides a name!"

"Calico Jack," confirmed the parrot, with a roll of its beady eyes. "Rackham! Whoo-oo." This being a name, Cally's bird did not bother to translate it into his native Spanish. Cally barely needed the bird's help to get her tears rolling. Boy, she was flying high tonight.

Bob appeared there in the back, he was quiet and patient. All in black he was as usual.

On his shirt, however, was an unusual pin, It was of a crown...the crown of a King of some unknown kingdom.

I wonder when the others will arrive, he thought to himself as he watched the others as they came in.

::Cadence gave a polite nod to those she didn't know yet, although she was licking her fingers to get every morsel of food. It was strange how hungry she was, and how fast she was eating those three plates of food. In fact, she'd already polished off two of her plates. She was munching on a chicken leg when Kiki came in and waved the chicken leg at the Necromancer while giving her and her husband a warming hello smile. Her mouth was too full of food to say anything, which wasn't a bad thing. The only reaction to Calico was a wide eyed blink::

::She relaxed when Bob showed up, feeling the tingle in her skin from the aura that surrounded him. That's how she knew he was near, even if she couldn't see him. The shiver ran down her spine, sending a wave of pleasurable tingles through her body as she looked his direction. What was that shiney little thing he wore.... She put down the bare chicken leg bone and picked up a smoked turkey leg, holding it in Bob's direction, waving it a bit to get his attention, as if offering a bite. And she was offering with a smile. A very long and loud belch escaped her, though, to which she covered her mouth and blushed::

Excuse me..

::She grabbed a napkin to wipe her mouth, then took a healthy sip of wine to wash down her food. She was starting to feel satiated. The remainder of her plate she picked at, waiting for the meeting to actually begin. Still, that pin Bob wore... it was a curious thing and it was hard to take her gaze from it::

Mary was pleased at Cadence?s appetite. Not only was a healthy appetite a good thing - but at least all that food had not been prepared for nothing. As a vampire it was a rare occasion that she actually ate food.

She greeted everyone entering in turn. Kalinda got a smile, a nod. ?Glad you could make it.? She was pleased the dancer had taken the time to grace them with her beautiful presence. Even if the primaries were over the real election had yet to take place and it was important everyone was here and could come to some sort of agreement as to what the best course of action was.

She inclined her head to the Madame, whom she held in the deepest respect. Of course a moment later there was Calico. Making quite the entrance as usual. She shook her head at the statements from her daughter.

?My dearest Calico I would not dream of trying to keep you out. Not only would it be pointless but I value your opinion and am sincerely glad you are here. Besides which your vote is just as important as anyone?s.?

?As for your father? I never lied to you. He was dead, but your parrot is right.? She blinked a few times at the statement of your parrot is right, which brought an amused smile to her lips. It sounded funny, clearing her throat she continued. ?I would have told you but well? you are hard to track down sometimes. But do not worry? I am sure he will pop up again soon and you will get to meet him at last.?

When Bob appeared her attention found its way over to him, her eyes were that soft brown as she gazed upon him. She gave him that warm smile which was reserved only for those that were most special to her. She rarely got to see the man whom she had come to think of as a father. She rose to give him a quick, tight embrace. ?Thanks so much for coming. It means the world to me to have you here? I know you are very busy so I will try not to take up too much of your time.?

A kiss to his cheek, a quick wink and she was back to her chair. With a smile her eyes moved across everyone who had gone out of their way to come to this discussion. ?We are still waiting on a couple of people before we begin. If anyone wants to indulge in food, drinks or slaves? a sweeping gesture was given to the tables and the girls standing by them ?go ahead. We?ve got a nice selection indeed.?

Lang Darkwing

Date: 2008-01-26 13:34 EST
After reading the letter Marguerite. Lang moved throught Valentine manor to the bedroom. " Faye..wake up. Mary wants us to show up for a meeting. " A shake to the woman to rouse her from sleep. While he waited for her to wake and get dressed. He'd do the same. Once both were ready, the two would head to Bonny Corp.

It was a bit of a shock to him, which he hid of course. That Mary invited him. Seeing how he only met the woman once. And that was when he delivered the news to her. Hmm. Guess she took that one time. As a sign that I could be trusted Thought to himself. He shook his head slightly, letting that thougth slip by. He had a feeeling why he was invited. Mary had thanked him for telling her the things he told her.

Guess that moment of doing the right thing in his own mind, had show the leader of Bonny Corp. He had a strong sense of thing. Oh well. Once the two arrived. He'd lead Faye into the building, before leading her to the room the meeting would take place.

" Sorry if we are late. " Polite smile to Mary, with a bow of his head to her. Each person present would get a polite nod. With his gaze pausing on Bob. He watched this man for a moment, before bowing his head again to the male.

Faye Valentine

Date: 2008-01-26 19:07 EST
Faye dressed in her usual outfit. Thanks to the special features that Bob had given the house, she had ten of it so there was always a clean one available. She threw on her yellow leather jacket, which was an exact replica of the one she originally had. The first one she had given to a naked girl at the inn who couldn?t speak.

Though she had been surprised at the invitation, how could she possibly refuse? She came in on Lang?s arm, not entirely sure of what to expect. Mary got a wave and a smile that seemed uncharacteristically shy for her. The reason would be obvious to those that knew she had been responsible for the recent attacks on the Bonny Corporation.

When she saw Bob though, who she had already seen and knew for a fact had forgiven her for blowing up his buildings? That usual charming smile was back in place. She hadn?t yet gotten a chance to introduce him to her boyfriend.

She would lead Lang in his direction towards the back of the room. An upnod was given to Bob. ?Hey boss, how?s it going?? That fond smile and twinkle in her emerald eyes brightened her features as she glanced back at Lang. Then she proceeded to introduce the two best men she had ever known. ?I want you to meet my man, Lang. Lang, this is Bob - best boss in the universe.?

LucyKitty

Date: 2008-01-27 03:19 EST
Lucy entered, a little shyly. She had not been specifically invited, but Mary's summons had been to all employees and associates. That must mean Club Babylon too, where she was scheduled to dance on opening night. So like Cinderella, a subordinate who came to the ball through a loose-worded invitation that included her by chance, she came uncertainly and dressed to kill.

Her shoes were not glass, but a kind of impermeable crystal that Bob had made. She did not fully understand its properties... but it made a pretty flashy shoe, giving her an extra six inches with the platform soles. Her dress was simple and clinging, a silver-champagne silk whose low bodice was sewn with pearls. Thanks to Faye, Lucy always dressed like an empress.

But here in the room was the one thing Faye could not give her: a chance for Lucy to be famous in her own right, rather than as the pet of a powerful woman. So she seated herself as if she belonged there, flashing a lovely smile towards the other dancer. She knew her immediately though they had never met; her dress and musculature gave her away, and her scent was somewhat familiar. They had mutual acquaintances.

Now what was this all about? wondered little Lucy. And what had she and Faye really gotten themselves into by throwing their fortunes in with the Bonny Corporation?

:: Swiftly he made his way after meeting up with whomever was taking him to the meeting. His eyes bright and his hands shifting off the labcoat and putting on the business jacket. Hand sliding into the coat pocket he would check his data pad before borrowing a stray rose sliding it right into the front pocket of the jacket just so. He has found a better presentation is perfect for getting things across durning meetings.:

Ahh..I am not late I pray?

:: A soft warm smile given out as he moved towards Mary giving a wink towards her while whispering:

Lovely as always Miss Mary...ahh And you as well Madame Kiki I could never forget

:: A bit of a nod given towards Lang and another towards Faye..yet he still knew little of those two, But a heartwarming smile towards Cadence::

You as well Cadence, very very pretty..now a conference over politics?

:: A bit of a blink towards Mark just to make sure he got it right as he remained a touch distant while moving towards a seat::

::She liked the brown in Mary's eyes. She hadn't quite noticed it before until the leader moved to embrace Bob. Then she caught a good glimpse. She decided then she liked the brown.. it was warm and inviting and something like home in the depths. she also noticed how people were reacting to Bob. It was refreshing to see the respect they had for him, instead of the reactions he would get from some people.. like with some of the election issues. She pondered this a moment until she heard her name. Popping a piece of cheese into her mouth, she looked at Brandon and his heartwarming smile was just too contageous. Her own smile mirrored his except with the added blush forming in her cheeks. His question perplexed her and she merely nodded and shrugged in response. She needed to think about this a bit. She went back to pondering and nibbling on yet another piece of cheese::

Bob was in a daze. He was not really here at all and the voices in the room, the people here and the issues at hand were relevant to him, of course. But something worse was happening, something that he would soon share as soon as it ended, he blinked and broke free from the daze.

He smiled and nodded to the ones who had seen and spoken to him. He was waiting for the meeting to begin.

"Hi." Was given to those would would expect a reply to him.

He waited in an odd silence to begin the meeting and hoped everybody would show up. A vote of no confidence was needed inorder to ensure the safety of all people involved. Bob liked his subjects alive mostly, corrupted or innocent was not important to him really.

Impaling fields really did not unsettle him, persay, but the rest of the population may not enjoy it as much.

Mary nodded to Kalinda. ?Of course, I would be happy to introduce you around. The handsome man in the labcoat is Brandon Morgan ? a scientific genius. He is the Bonny Corp?s ideas man and is in charge of our scientific research and development.?

She motioned next to the blond who was not even four feet tall that sat just next to her. ?This is Cadence, she is my spiritual adviser. A beautiful woman with a beautiful soul in possession of great wisdom.?

A motion was then given to Kiki who as always appeared all business. ?This is the Madame Kiki Delfoart. She is our staff necromancer and is feared by many.? A devilish smile lingered on her old friend for a moment before she proceeded down the line.

She motioned to Faye and her man Lang. ?This is the lovely Miss Valentine who has done contract work for us in the past, and her boyfriend Lang Darkwing - who I am hoping to get to know better. Next to them is Lucy Kitty, who is our headline performer. She has many talents: story telling, acrobatics, singing and dancing. You will be working with her at the Club.?

Her eyes were full of what could only be described as a mothers love as they fell upon Calico. "This is the young Miss Bonny. You may call her Calico or Cally if you like - I am sure she would be fine with that. She will be working with you at the Club as well as the..." she cleared her throat "The official naked waitress." It may seem strange to some to give your daughter such a job but they didn't know Calico. The title had been invented just for her, by her.

A soft smile graced her features as her eyes moved to Bob. ?The man in back there wearing all black is our most valued associate. He goes by the name Bob. A better friend could no one ask for.?

?Everyone, this is Kalinda Acheron. She is the newest addition to our humble little family. She is a very talented dancer and fighter. She will be not just a dancer but an undercover security of sorts. Keeping an eye on the employees at Club Babylon.?

Her eyes swept over all those gathered before gazing down at her watch. It was unfortunate that not everyone had arrived but it was time to start. When she looked up again her eyes had shifted to an icy blue ? a tell tale sign that it was time to get down to business. ?Well I suppose we should begin. The hour is getting late.?

?As you all know the Rhy?Din election is fast approaching. The outcome is very important to us all. Before I give my feelings on the matter? I would first like to open the floor to anyone who has an opinion on the candidates. If anyone has thoughts they would be willing to share I would very much like to hear it. All information is welcome and valid.? Mary valued her employees opinions highly so before she made her own final decision on the matter... She wanted to hear first what they thought and why.

Friend. Yeah you can call him that if you like he supposed. He stood up in silence and walked to the front of the room, invited or not he did not care really, of course what he had to say was alittle important he thought. Coming to a halt and standing next to Mary, then turning around and facing the rest of the crowd gathered here today.

"Hi. I am not so good at speaking and stuff like this so let me get right to the point." He looked down for a moment then began once again.

"I am a bit of a psychic, I see things and connect the dots of possible futures that come about when various things happen, I saw this coming and tried to stop it through various means, and I have failed, and it has come down to this. I must tell you what I have seen."

"The admiral is a dark hearted creature. His justice and tactics are only right in his own mind. I have stood and watched this city bleed, not only the people, but the city itself. The Rhydin we live in and know today will be a very different place in the future."

"The line of justice will be blurred and nobody will be safe. Homeless people trapped in condemned buildings will be punished for living in property that is not their own, their only crime was looking for a place to sleep, he will take care of the homeless people by simply killing them all as he finds them, with no sense of mercy. Of course this will be blamed on noneother than us."

"Wolvinators "Coalition" will become implemented and the process will be spread to find and recruit others like him, loyal to his cause. These exterimination squads will hunt and kill anybody they find as criminals. The term criminal will be used as a label to anybody who does not comply to the new order of Rhydin. The streets will run with the blood of the so called evil doers on the spot. They will be given no trial, or chance."

"The monster will unleash in time special machines to enforce the curfew that will be set in place for all people of this city, these blood fueled machines will punish any living thing they see on the streets at night. These things are the least of the worries though, for the "Safety" of the public they will be non-lethal. But you would be surprised how much damage a person can take before they die. They will be equipped with anti-magic devices that will make them immune to most powers people may have."

Bob stopped for a minute to allow all of that to sink in.

"Punishment will be severe. Much like the earth tyrants of old earth realm, torture and slow death penatlies will be common, impaling fields, burnings and secret torture chambers for the innocent and the guilty. And even the people who were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Fear will rule this city and it will be controlled with out question by the absolute ruler."

"Wolvinator will do anything to make the people submit to his rule. He will destroy parts of the city and blame it on the "Terrorists" and the "Criminals" He will tell you that you need security and he will try and force you all to eventually carry a special card, or even a chip if he is that advanced by then to ID yourself, and track you down. Anybody who refuses this will be treated as a criminal, and hunted down. Every living soul will have to make a choice to fall in line, or be on the run from the laws."

"The tyrant will create a scapegoat. As you know the orcs have pulled their support of this monster, most of you do not really care what happens to the orcs I know, but he will have his revenge and make up reasons to kill them all. Anybody stands against him will lose everything in the attempt, his powers will make it so the Many are supported over the needs of the few, but remember the membership of the few will change to fit the needs of the day. When will you be in membership of the "Select Few".

Bob had a grave look on his face, it was true he never lied to anybody and was not going to start now.

"This is what I have seen and this is only the beginning, Racial profiling will begin. Dragons will be sought to be controlled, exterimination of the undead will begin, all for the "Safety" of the population. Judgement will be passed over all of us with out mercy and the lifeforce of this city will die slowly, and the city will follow suit slowly. We must stop this from happening. Wolvinator must not become Governor of anything, if anything he must be banished."

"I believe the best option we have is to rally behind the no confidence vote that should be put on the ballot we must do something before it is too late."

Bob stopped there and he walked slowly back to his spot and never looked at a single person along the way. Was he actually troubled to see the place he called home threatened to be violated in such away as this? He would not say, but the look on his face told it all. He sat down and waited for somebody else to talk and he wanted to know others had to say.

Kalinda nodded and smiled pleasantly to everyone as the introductions were made. Beyond this, she simply kept her peace, as a vast majority of the names being bandied about held no special meaning to her just yet. It seemed she had a great many people to meet.

Faye Valentine

Date: 2008-02-07 13:40 EST
After the bit of silence that followed Bob?s speech Faye rose from her seat. She cleared her throat. An oddly nervous gesture coming from her.

?I don?t know how many of you are aware of this? But I suppose it is better to have it all out in the open. Wolv and I used to be friends I guess you can say. In retrospect it seems more that he was trying to bed me than be my friend. After I got together with Lang? He all of the sudden changed his attitude towards me.?

?Why he would be hurt by this I do not know - but he certainly got his revenge on me. I do know that he wasn?t single for even hardly a minute since we became ?friends?. He was dating this girl named Kaspar ? living with her in fact ? as well as another girl called Ren. He was dating two girls when he tried to hook up with me! Clearly commitment means very little to him.?

?Now another girl who recently moved in with him turned up pregnant and he threw her out of his house as though she were nothing but a liability to him. She has been hiding away somewhere ever since - seems she's scared. Supposedly he threw this chick Rose out because she attacked me, Lang and my Lucy Kitty. Now me and Lang have forgiven her? and realize that she was not in her right mind when she did what she did. Wolv on the other hand? Has shown no forgiveness, nor compassion. And he wasn?t even the one who was wronged by her!?

?Me and Lang eventually had to leave the 'coalition' but we were both members for a time. We wanted this city to be safe as anyone does. Safe from slavers or whoever else might threatened the people. We value freedom and life. But Wolv will stop at nothing to do what he claims is right.?

?I do know for a fact that there is no line he won?t cross when he considers someone a threat.? She cleared her throat again. This next fact she was rather embarrassed of. ?He even tricked me into attacking my boss..? A gesture of her head towards Bob. ?And the Bonny Corporation who my dearest kitty works for. If I had known who these buildings belonged to? I never would have done it. And he was well aware of that. But he pinned me against my friends knowingly, ordering me to attack them.?

?If he sees someone as a threat he will attack them automatically without thinking. If he can get someone else to do it for him he will do that. He is not above committing atrocities and blaming it on other people even if they are not responsible. Governments have been doing it forever. Now Wolv is allowing and even causing terrible acts so the people will come to him and his ?coalition? for protection! Begging them to take away their freedom in exchange for a false sense of security. All part of the greater good right? Protect the needs of the many. The ends justifies the means or some such crap.?

?We must protect our freedom. A life without freedom is not worth living. I think we can do better than a corrupt power hungry politician such as Wolvinator who will do more harm than good. To be perfectly honest I have no reason to trust any of the candidates. I agree with the vote of no confidence.?

Faye returned to her seat, grasping Lang's hand tightly under the table. She gave a firm nod to all as she gazed around the table once. After a quick scan of everyone she turned a bit to look at Lang and gave him a soft smile as she squeezed his hand. At least SHE could own up to her mistakes.

Mary listened attentively to both Bob and Faye, her expression thoughtful. Those ice blue eyes scanned the assembled people and before anyone else spoke up she rose from her seat. It was time to make her statement on this, time to bring the cold hard reality of the situation into perspective.

?Bob, I respect you and consider you as a father. You have saved me, my people, and even perfect strangers on numerous occasions. I know you to be honest and I believe the things you have said are true.?

?Faye, I value your opinion. I invited you partially because of your relationship with Wolvinator, hoping you could shed some light on the way he works. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us and being honest in this case, even though you knew it could backfire on you.?

Another intense gaze swept over everyone at the table. ?But there are some hard facts we must face here today. Wolv has gathered quite the following. He has numbers on his side, far more than any of the other candidates. Back on earth, in America the one who won the election 90 percent of the time could be determined simply by looking at who spent the most money of their campaign. However he has gotten this much support is irrelevant. What is relevant is that as long as the people are divided over the remaining three candidates, and the vote of no confidence? We will see him in office."

?Basically if he has 34 percent of the votes? and then the other 4 options get an equal portion of the remaining people ( this includes the vote of no confidence which many people support) then 66 divided by 4 means the others will be just shy of 17% each. Thus he will win by default - unless the people can agree to cast all our votes into one slot and rock the election."

?The reason we focus on Wolv is clear. We indeed must protect our freedom. We should not be fooled by such tactics as are being employed by this man. Creating false enemies that he is ?defending? us from just to make himself look good is unacceptable by any standards! He even attacked my dear Brandon who was simply misled by an evil woman.?

?But rather than figure out what was the real story, he used his famous act first - think later tactics when dealing with him - almost resulting in Brandon's death! But then not long later I talked to him and he appeared perfectly rational; I am sure many people believe this is the man he is but that is not what I see. I see that he has attacked my people and me for our associations which he deems ?dangerous? and there is no telling what he will do next.?

"Now we have mainly focused on Wolvinator today as he is the currently favored candidate. It is clear that he is not a good choice. If anyone has any reason to believe we should rally behind another candidate please speak up now. As it is, I believe we the people will be better at dealing with situations and defending ourselves than anyone we can currently put into power."

"Wolvinator is rash and violent, we are a force of stability. He is an unpredictable ruler and we stable force of commerce. We are the citizens of Rhy?Din. And if we can?t find a leader who can serve us? We are best served by no leader at all.

Nodding slightly to her words, Bob adjusted the Crown pinned to his jacket, just enough to be noticed as soon as she had finished her words, and smiled at seemingly nothing at all for a brief second.

::She had given a warm smile and wave to Kalinda to welcome her, though it seemed a conversation with the new person would have to wait for another time. Things were beginning to move very quickly. She listened intently to Bob, Faye and Mary. Then it was her turn so she literally stood up on the chair so she could be seen::

I'm not sure hows this all effects Bonnie Corp and Club Babylon, but I'm guessing that whoever is governor will have an effect. I also believe in freedom of choices, and a vote of no vote should mean something as well. I knows some have said that it won't do any good to have a governor, but maybe we just need the right one. Nothing can change over night and it would be unfair to expect so.

::she paused very briefly, glancing at Bob for a short moment::

And certainly nothin's gonna change if people don't wants it to. What if we're wrong about some of those candidates. theys all not Wolvinator. What if one of the others gets in instead and that person is really and honestly trying to make things better for everyone.... but because theys getting part of a bad wrap because of Wolvinator, is that fair to them? Are we going to give thems a hard time about it then? I don't knows anyone can fix anything that others won't let them fix. Yet I hear a lot of whining from several directions about how a Governor doesn't do any good based on just one other one. Politics sucks no matter hows yous looks at it.... it's all just people getting caught up in their own self rightousness .. and greed. That can be true no matters what side of the fence yous playing on. I just don't wanna see Bonny Corp, or those in it, come to that label. All I'm saying is that maybe people should consider the choices one more time, and carefully without emotional baggage.. without finger pointing... just looking at theys words and deeds. Headmaster Briarius don't always say a lot. And he sometimes can be taken the wrong way.... but it's in his deeds that speaks loudest and strongest on what kind of person he really is. I think that means... Read between the lines.

::nods and sits back down::

Mary smiled at Cadence in an encouraging way and nodded in agreement with her. "This is exactly why I called you together today. Because if anyone has reason to believe one of the other candidates would be more suitable.. I would be happy to hear why. I was merely saying I don't think Wolvinator is... And that if there be no decent candidate... I believe no governor is better than a corrupt one who is only serving his own self interest."

She glanced around, leaving the floor open once more.

((The elections are going to be over soon so let's wrap this up quick like. I for one haven't voted yet so... Let's see what we can't get done while we still have time. Every vote counts people!))

((Alright, as everyone sort of lost interest in the meeting it seems... And the elections are over... This is sort of a mute point. So I am closing the topic. Now I'll concentrate on getting the Club up and running in the next few days here.

Sorry for getting side tracked again. I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled a week ago and it's been all sorts of nuts. Not to mention Jade said she was going to be starting the thread but I guess she got sick and never got around to it so... I'll step up here in the next few days. One failed project at a time as my friend says... LOL so hopefully by the end of the week here you'll be seeing something. Take care everyone.))
