Inside the Ready Room of the 27th Special Operations Division of the Rhy?Din Watch, we find a pair of Captains looking over a pair of maps and blueprints. It is currently 0030 hours, by Rhy?Din Standard Time.

?It?s too early man, why am I even up!??

?You know why, so stow it??

?Ugh? This better pan out, man! Sides, I thought that magistrate said ?no? to the warrant we asked for.?

?They did.?

?Huh? So why the hell are we headin? out there then, man? If we got no warrant, then we can?t just go up in there an be all like ?Yo sup foo, it?s the Po-po, break y?self!? , right??

?Two words??

?Dos words? How?s that, Brah??

?Probable Cause.?

?Probable--- are you for real??

?You bet your @%# I am.?

Probable Cause - Apparent facts discovered through logical inquiry that would lead a reasonably intelligent and prudent person to believe that an accused person has committed a crime, thereby warranting his or her prosecution, or that a Cause of Action has accrued, justifying a civil lawsuit.

?Brian, let?s be real--- this is some low level ^&%$ here, an we?ve been kinda quiet lately, yeah? I mean the holidays were pretty boss, an save that %^$# that went down dockside, we?ve had a good few months. I mean, you see the stats, too. Less crime, less violent crime to boot. Loads of petty crap, an the turn-around rates been damned good to. I?d say, we did our job pretty well, brah. We got us a good thing here, so why rock the boat with kicking in the door of some massage parlor when we know all they got is some happy endings, and the workers are actually ?not? slave labored, but there by choice.?

Brian nodded as Kerri had spoken, he understood her stance on what he was proposing all too well and was more so glad to have her take on it, because Kerri wasn?t afraid to call Brian out, when she thought something was wrong. Something that was a bit of a rarity when it came to most of the 27th, save a select few--- such as ?Doc?, Waterman, Andu and Serah who was no longer with them, which was a shame? but it was what it was, so to speak.

That aside, Brian always tried to keep himself surrounded by those who would speak up, and offer counsel?even when it showed that his train of thought may not in fact be the best case. Another line of sight always did some good, especially when it came to things of this nature. Something Brian had been taught by Jenai and Jewell, along with a few others along the way.

?Kerri, you forgot that mess on the bridge? That wasn?t so quiet, right??

?Whoa, whoa and whoa, brother! Why you gotta be bringin? up that!? I still got part of me that are STILL hairless from that %^&$! Anyways, that was BEFORE the holiday rush, so no deflectin? man.?

?I know, I know? Here take a look at this.? That said, Brian slid a file over to Kerri, who quickly snatched it up to take a gander. ?I wanted to wait and see if we could get anything else before, we went in--- but when this came up, I decided we?d waited long enough.?

The emerald orbs of the Mithra, poured over the file---?What?s.. an M.E. report? Wait from ?Boobie McBandersnatch?s? Office??

?Yes from?what? Her name?s Regina, Ker? You know her.?

?Hey, man?you say Regina, I say Boobie McBandersnatch. Tomato, Toh-mah-tow, right??

Brian facepalmed.

Kerri continued to read on, her eyes beginning to widen the more so, the further along she went. ?Are you serious? He was what?10 years old!? How did?an alleyway? gods? even I---.?

Shaking her head softly, Kerri just set the file down without closing it. The page that was left exposed was that of an autopsy report with a rather detailed set of photos attached. The most easily seen of the photos was that looked to be a male child that had been cut open for examination. The cut extending vertically from the pelvic area to the upper abdomen area. From there, the skin and muscular tissue were pulled back allowing access to the internal organs,
The most obvious being the stomach itself which had also been cut open for examination.

Aside the child was a stainless steel plate, which looked to be laden with small pouches of various color.

?Brian, who would do this??

Picking up the file, Brian shook his head to Kerri. ?I don?t know, but he isn?t the first one. There?ve been two other mules, both around the same age. One was even a girl.?

?So they?re stuffing stuff inside kids, an what sending them around the city??

Brian nodded, ?Then they make them vomit up the goods to distribute? Rinse and repeat.?

?What kinda kid would do??

?The kind that needed quick cash for whatever reason, Ker? Or the kind that may have been forced to. Either way, to make this worse--- is what it is they?re being stuffed with.?

?What?s that, Bri??

?The M.E. says it?s a derivative of ?Brimstone???

?Are you ^&%#% serious!? I thought it wasn?t supposed to effect humans, what the hell man??

Setting the file down, Brian nodded to Kerri once more. ?From what I was given, it wasn?t. But this isn?t exactly the same make up?someone?s jacked up the recipe. Either way, when one burst inside this little one--- well, it?s in the report. Anyways, that?s what we have, Ker.?

Brian cleared his throat a bit, and pulled up another file to pass to Kerri. ?This is the team, I want. We go in at 0500, by the book? Doc and Tactical EMS will be standing by, and I?ve got someone from Public Works to ?work on the grid? so power will be out for a few minutes.?

?Guess you thought this one through, huh? Alright, what about the ?PC???

?Don?t worry about the ?PC? Kerri, I?ll make sure we have the ?PC? we need to get in. Just get the team, and we?ll brief in an hour.?

?Copy that, Brian. Be back in 60, baby.?
