?So what are we looking at here? Break it down for me, Kerri.?

?Well, this is what we got, Bri. Three stiffs, one washed ashore under the docks--?

?So the 8th, is handling that??

?What, Bri-- oh yeah, well I guess so for the moment at least.?

?Sorry Ker, didn't mean to interrupt you.?

?S'all good, anyways-- stiff number two-- Alley way, and then a third near the market-- found by a vendor to was en route to his stall. Before ya ask, alibis were checked and panned out.?

Brian looked at the first case file, and then the second and finally the third...

?Kerri have we been asked to take these yet?? This was asked, as he pulled a small pad from his desk and began to jot some notations down in a hurried manner.

?Negative, Brian. This was sent as a consulting request only, and as a courtesy since stiff number three was found so close to our next of the woods. Right now, we're looking on an 'as needed' basis for the moment. As soon as that changes you'll know proper quick.?

?Understood, well--- I can see why they are so concerned with this. This stinks on ice, Ker. Course, I figure you knew that already, since we have the case files in hand over breakfast, no??

?So ya read the consult pages, yeah?? Kerri asked the question, but she already knew the answer, due to her stealing a glance of Brian's notes.

?I did... No signs of harm in any manner at all, and everything intact no less... And the Psychic consult statements as well, about the emptiness-- I'd like to get some more on that, somehow... I mean if they're dead, I expect them to be empty from a psychic standpoint, you know? But they way it's emphasized here as unnaturally --- we need to know more.?

Brian looked to his notes once more, and continued.

?All male-- varying ages. No markings of any kind, and basically unharmed... All unnaturally empty as well.?

Kerri nodded, ?Yup!?

?Dockside, Alley way and near the market... Decent proximity as well.?

?So what are we gonna do, Bri??

Brian looked to Kerri, and then moved to a map of the city that was on a wall across the room. His hand lifted, as a finger tapped three specific areas.

?This is what we're going to do--- I want a plain clothes detail, on the dock side. Make it six officers, two per shift. Pay special attention to the docks themselves, and nearby outlets. Secrecy is key, so no other divisions will know. No one breaks cover, unless it is absolutely needed. We'll use the old 800 radio system, same as we did when Trav went ape.?

Scribbling her own notes, Kerri nodded. ?Copy that, Boss.?

?Secondly, ramp up patrols on the other two areas... Uniformed presence, of course. Also community outreach. See if we can get Waterman on that, and I'll have Jas'par outfitted for after hours patrols. Let's reach out to our 'CIs' (Confidential Informants), and see if anyone else can dig up something. I'll share this when Jen & Storm too, just to be careful an what not. Also Isuelt and her group, too.?

?Copy, and copy... Anything else, Bri??

?No, Ker... That's all we can do now.?

?So why are ya making that face??

?Hmm, oh-- I just saw the term serial killer... I don't know it's right, this early in the game... Something just doesn't--- I dunno. When we know more, we'll be able to judge it better. I'm gonna pour over these some more, do me a solid and let's get moving on this. Gods know we don't need more bodies...?

?Copy that, Bri!?
