Reinstatement of Sergeant Gregory Mallen
Petitioned by: Hope Jubal, Officer, GIU, 27th Special Division
Directed to: Captain Brian Ravenlock, Captain Kerri Ravenlock
Dear Ma'am and Sir:
I am writing to you as my superior officers and heads of the entire 27th Special Division. I wish to report with confidence and some small measure of privacy on this matter. Sergeant Gregory Mallen has been an exemplary field trainer and as of late a highly proficient partner. I am airing a severe lack of judgment and grievance against Lieutenant Perry Henkle, repeated Officer of the Day, GIU. Sergeant Mallen has been reassigned to Evidence and Dispatch while I have been place back on solo patrol and saddled with repeated, low level meter maid work.
I will admit that my actions of late have earned my several reprimands by Lt. Henkle, as duty requires and I have been disciplined accordingly. I am still rough in the ways this city works and Sgt. Mallen is an indispensable field asset as well as an outstanding procedural data base. I am asking that Sgt. Mallen be reinstated as my partner. If the cost of the request is continued meter maiding Rhy'Din City for the foreseeable future, I accept that penalty.
I will point out in my defense the rise in GIU's effectiveness since my arrival. Reports are now being filed and recorded. Disturbances and requests have had response times cut in half, increasing our help to the public. A minotaur who was once thought a public nuisance has finally agreed to medical treatment and a personal aide. He has expressed personal gratitude that the cost he has incurred for damaging the city was significantly reduced as well as not having further charges added to his record. The Rhy'Din Treasury seems very pleased with the stop of counterfeit currency for this month and the arrested shipe captain lead to several strikes on more counterfeit rings by the other divisions. Not to mention a wide breakthrough in the Brimstone distribution case. Granted, I had assistance by the officers, Orion Wolf and Myrlene Wolf-Spiritor.
I admit that I break protocols, I ignore orders, and I get myself into hot water and into the line of fire. Ma'am, Sir, I cannot in good conscience abide the trampling of protecting the civilians living in this city. If I have to die making sure Rhy'Din is just that much closer to safety and peace, then make sure it's a simple tombstone saying "She did her duty."
Sincerely,
Hope Jubal, #13 of GIU,
27th Special Division,
