Exchanging gifts is a tradition as old as time itself. Giving and receiving, told in many ways and hailed in many tales of old. Winter times are bleak. Many people and cultures gave each other items they needed or shared food that was enjoyed around the fire or tables.

So come on down to the Alchemist?s Fire and enjoy the Holiday Spirit with the community. Check out the gift baskets being given out for donations, the gingerbread cookies being decorated and drool over the raffle prizes on display. Oh, oh! Don?t forget to fill up on great food and drinks along with wonderful music.

The Holiday Spirit Event is meant to run up to New Years. Raffle Prize winners will be announced on New Years Eve. All participants in the Holiday Spirit Event will receive Icons for what they do and even for contributing to the Raffle Prizes and Gift Baskets.

Update on Raffle Prize Drawing and Last Day of Event: With the holidays on the rise and the spirit of the holidays being togetherness, we have moved the raffle drawing date and end date to December 20th. This is to allow everyone to enjoy the rest of the month with their lucky winnings and allow the many minions behind the scenes to deliver donations and to be with their own families.

General Ambiance Setting:

The Alchemist's Fire sleek, cool gray tinted glass walls have been turned into a winter wonderland. Every glass pane of the shop was frosted into wintry scenes of holiday joy. Actual ice lights were strung over the outdoor patio as a few cauldrons burned with warming fire in holiday green, red, yellow and blue flames. Tables were set out with ice blue tablecloths and half barrels filled steaming Spiced Cider and Regular Cider. Drinks and Free Food to eat are laid out on the tables for anyone to enjoy. Holiday music plays through the crisp air as hovering instruments play magically TSO?s - The Lost Christmas Eve.

Feeling a bit cold out in the wintry air? Step inside the Alchemist?s Fire and donate an item for charities and get a free gift basket! If donating isn?t your style then head to the Cookie Decorating table and enjoy getting a little messy as you put your custom tastes on cookies to take home! If you just feel like enjoying the atmosphere and wanting to get warmed up, feel free to look around the shop at a wide variety of magical and mundane items. The Holiday Spirit Event proved successful in testing the community in coming together to help those in need during the cold winter. We are happy to announce that we had a total of 16 Donators that brought in more than enough donations to clothe and feed most of Rhy?din?s needy. The last of the donations has been delivered to the charities in need by Ammy Spiritor dressed up as Mrs. Santa Claus and Leroy J. Reindeer as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer riding around in a large pickup truck.

The Event was about more than just donating to the needy. We had 10 Cookie Artists that tried their hand at decorating the wonderful gingerbread cookies provided by Incredible Edibles. The fashion scene was no slouch either as many visitors showed up to show off their Holiday Spirit Attire.

We had 26 raffle tickets given out among the Gift Baskets given for donations and the Gingerbread Cookie Decorating Kits used. We have the winners for the Raffle Prizes that have been on display during the entire Holiday Spirit Event.

Raffle Prize #1 went to Ticket 10, Mairead Harker. Congratulations!
Raffle Prize #2 went to Ticket 13, Isaac Wheeler who elected the ticket to be given to someone in need.
Raffle Prize #3 went to Ticket 9, DJ Yasmin. Congratulations!
Raffle Prize #4 went to Ticket 18, Awkward. Congratulations!
Raffle Prize #5 went to Ticket 14, Mona Oliveira. Congratulations!

We couldn?t have done it without a wonderful group of individuals donating their time and goods from their stores to help bring this community event together.
