Dominique

Dominique was still new to this world, but knew what looked like a marketplace when he saw one. The problem was that he had none of this world's currency. He stomped around as the Elevatus bellowed steam above him. Rhydin angered Dominique because of all of the blatant witchcraft and sorcery embedded into the world. Still he had to make the best of his situation, because it did not seem like he would be going home any time soon. He turned and took a stroll down Alchemy Lane, though not an herbalist , he figured there would be less magic here. Dominique wasn't known for making the best choices and in this case he was absolutely wrong. The sorcery here was abundant. He had almost given up finding any normal shops until he heard some humming coming from one of the shop.

"That sound can only be the glorious humming of machinery!" Dominique exclaimed loudly.

He looked up at the shop's sign as he began to climb out of the Elevatus.

"Alchemist's Fire huh? Well I do like fire..." He said as he walked into the building.

The air in the building tasted horrible and the feeling inside the shop made him feel weird. He didn't see anyone in the building at first and decided to start poking around, staying clear of the bookshelves.

Ammy Spiritor

Ammy had been in one of the two top spires of the shop unpacking some additional supplies to replenish her inventory bellow when she felt the thumping of some machine coming down the lane.

What the hell was that?

She stood and looked out the many glass panels and saw some sort of steam driven, black mechanoid. Her memories stirred a little bit seeing that machine. She had a feeling she knew the owner. As she watched, the anthro badger left the machine and went into her shop below.

A badger? Do I know a badger?

Thoughts of her old green house at the Philosophers Flask surfaced and some pour soul getting lost there for some time.

Oh dear, it must be the same one. Now what was his name?

Taking up the supplies she had gathered, she activated a glyph and teleported to the counter area below and began putting the items away. She watched the badger poking about.

"May I help you in some way sir?"

Dominique casually turned to look who was talking to him. He didn't say anything for a moment, because this person seemed familiar and he couldn't put his finger on it.

I know this person from somewhere, but with all the new things and people around I just can't remember.

After a brief moment he spoke.

"I thought I heard the humming and whirling of machines coming from this shop, but all I see is books and plants. I am not one for plants in this world because most seem toxic or want to eat you. As for books I am not the strongest reader."

The truth was that he didn't know how to read. He just knew enough to get himself around and use a bathroom if the time called for it. He wasn't fond of the plants, because of his recent situation in a greenhouse where he had been lost and forgotten for a week's time.

"Hey...you seem familiar. I want to say your name starts with an A and has a few M's in it, but I just can't remember."

He honestly tried to remember, but the name Amar kept coming up and he knew that wasn't her name.

"My name is Dominique if you remember me. I have only been in this world for maybe a month, and my memory for people and their faces is not good."

"Dominique?" she said the name for a moment. "Doesn't quite ring a bell though that mechanical suit outside has me fascinated. I love machinery, and you're not far off from thinking you hear some in my shop. It's below us in my workshop for when I tinker with things." she grinned.

"Muffin?" she offered a plate with a variety of muffins on on it.

"Not all books are for everyone. I do have many just with pictures and plenty of coloring books too if feel like coloring inside or outside of the lines. My name is Ammy by the way. I also sell some weaponry, some artifacts, and mythical items."
