The Ring of Winterpaws is an up and coming item that will soon be offered in the Alchemist's Fire and at various info centers and shops that wish to support and deal with a new kingdom, Winterpaws, that Myrlene Wolf-Spiritor is endeavoring to start in the south high mountains. Those wearing the Ring of Winterpaws will be considered pilgrims either seeking refuge or to visit the kingdom for healing not found elsewhere, protection or other services found in the cold lands of the mountains.

Many, many thanks to the wonderful Mach and our endless conversations about the Universe of the Tanga People and the UTRA organization.

When conversations came up during our many AIM chats about magical casting and how UTRA Hunters works, the talk of Casters came up and the difficulty of how to explain or describe them. Many months of conversations and ideas have come to fruition.

Bellow is just one of many possible examples of Caster Weapons that could exist in Mach's world and it was a pleasure and honor putting my creativity and mechanical concepts to practice. A few more concepts will be made at some point but for now, a simplistic one was attempted and a Retrofitted Design of an already existing gun model that Mach agreed would exist in his world was made.

This was all based and modeled off of Samuel Colt's .45 Single Action Army Revolver produced for the US cavalry in 1873. Photo image on page 46, The Early History of Arms section, The World Encyclopedia of Pistols, Revolvers and Submachine Guns. 2007 Lorenz Books. Image used for overall part dimensions, functional placement and design. The rest is my own work, including manually flipping the image free hand and modifying everything freehand by pencil, then transference and finishing into the computer.

Finally something clunked out of the abused muse from the last two weeks of work and migraines. Wasn't anything planned or even a prior illustration still thumping around in the brain from a few years back like a brick in a dryer. Just started digitally painting in CS4 and out came a Nuukehl. What's a Nuukehl? It's a piece of standard Lupinossai Currency on their island continent using cross section slices of bone from pihlmoo cattle they raise with various cabochon cut or polished gems set in with copper in the center of the bone. Simple and easy for trade use. Counterfeiting is difficult due to specific weight of both bone slice and gem to match up to records of Nuukehls made by the Nuukehl Trade Guild based in Graydol Den, the only Den with access to the one known accessible mine for these gems. Here is a Sapphire Nuukehl that is roughly equal to 5 gold coins in other role playing systems.

- This weapon set is for a fictional character of mine set in my worlds of Sliinkaa. Touted as a relic and set in a museum on Chahnteer, this is the Tigre Nobles Rapier. A family heirloom passed down from father to daughter in the sect of the Golden Cross Crusaders from the Madesto Council Sect. This weapon set is traditional to any crusader of the Golden Cross, who at the early ages of the sect were tasked to find strange, cross shaped antennae that were golden plated that heralded a fallen artifact from the stars. They were to collect and bring them back to the Truth in central Chahnteer were true eternity would be revealed upon completion of these holy quests. Quests ongoing to this present day.

Each rapier was custom designed per families taste, past down to children brought into the sect to carry on the quests. However, historians note that each rapier, regardless of personal aesthetics bear the same repeating symbologies. A sharp cyrstalline cross shape resembling the antennae quested for and the pervasive universal symbol for powering things on and off on computers. Many believe the sects and crusaders mad, insane, other believe an artificial intelligence has been whispering in their ears for centuries. In addition to the rapier, the Crusader is gifted a long knife, a signet ring for sealing messages, and a belt with orders crest as the buckle and a predetermined amount of gold coins that slide upon that belt.

The number of gold coins is believed to be the length of a crusaders expected questing duration as those coins was the entire wealth at disposal for financing costs. Once the coins were gone, the crusader was to return, report, and if unsuccessful in procuring an artifact would be relieved of the blessed position, passing on to heirs if any, and sent to work in menial labor for the councils. Should a family completely fail to yield results within two generations, the family?s name is struck from the holy records and the entire line is cast into servitude, exile or death. -

~T’was a rough day in apartment 5C at the corner of Fuffington Avenue and Barksome Drive. Miss Tidbits had a rather depressing week of soul draining work and a pink slip in her out box on Friday. A weekend of Ben and Jerrys and some stout, glassine fellows (Captain Morgan and a fellow named Jack Daniels) had left the apartment worse for wear. Much to Miss Tidbits surprise on Monday, the apartment was spotless and her darling herd of corgis tuckered out on the sofa. She’ll never know why.~

A poster tube arrived at the Alchemist's Fire and Ruby danced in joy. It was the latest find from her mothers archaeological digs in Lupinoss as she researches more Lupinoss history. Cracking open the tube she grinned and soon Ruby shoved a book shelf to the side and made a new Map Section of the shop. She proudly hung the four maps within the tube as part of heritage.
