Amar?s ears perked up hearing Ammy and she looked up at her. ?Yer kind of tall for a Sumese, ain?cha??
Ammy just laughed lightly and smiled. ?Perhaps it is because I am not, uhm, Sumese you say? I am a Lupinossai.?
?Oh! Like that Marilla lass that?s been so kind to me and mah crew.? Amar face palmed. ?Sorry. I?m usually sharper than a diamond tip chisel but yer shop has mah bones rattlin? a bit. Captain Amar Su, formerly of the Sumese Air Navy. Could we blather in a different location?? She asked.
Ammy gave a nod. ?Sure thing. Give me a second.? She left Amar in the front display room to go speak with her staff about some ongoing projects and new stocks to shelve.
Amar decided that if she stood still one more moment her main spring was going to snap from the creepy store. Movement, she needed movement and curiosity; both the shop filled amply. The Eastern Sumese was now moving about poking her nose close to anything that didn?t tingle or smell like magic or give that weird cult feeling. The small library section had her fascinated with a lot of the advanced mechanical books, science theories, blueprint folders and eve a few display cases with tools and precision instruments. She was getting a little confused just exactly what this store really sold. Looked like a mishmash of everything. Strong spirits even!
Soon she saw Ammy approach and wave her to follow out the door. Amar walked quickly out of the odd shop and followed the Lupinossai down the street to the fountain area. Ammy had picked a nice caf? with outdoor seating, in the cold and snow no less yet it was near Yellow Crystal warming stand. Amar was surprised that one of her inventions made onto a street of Rhydin city.
Ammy ordered some warm drinks, a few sandwiches and took a number sign to the table while the order was being made. She saw Amar looking at the warming stand with confusion.
?Anything beneficially created or used in Den City, we try to share with Rhydin City and any other areas wanting our offers. It builds a better community relationship. We don?t want Den City to appear to be snobbish or unwilling to help improve things in realms around it.? She said.
Amar took a seat finally and enjoyed the warmth from the Yellow Crystal. ?Good teh know that people are benefitin? from my tinkerin?. I do what I can but I?m afraid I can?t do much more for the people of this realm. Just about out of crystals that we could salvage from our ship the Sky Dragon before she sunk under the deep lake of the Glenn.?
Ammy leaned forward very interested now. ?You have more of these crystals? Would you happen to have enough for me to look at??
Amar nodded slowly and reached into her jacket. Soon a leather pouch was sat on the table and she carefully pulled out shards of crystal and laid them on the table for Ammy to see. The crystals ranged in colors: Yellow, White, Green, Blue, Violet, Orange, Black and a Clear almost fogged glass color. Ammy looked over the various crystals and she could feel the unique energy signatures each one possessed.
?They feel like a battery for energy. It?s interesting.?
?Aye, our world magic nae exists but crystals seem to do what you mages do. They each emit on certain frequencies of energy. Crystals are not easy to harvest but when we do have them they can do many things, regenerate a hurt body, make things float, power things, warm and light areas, alter minds, absorb energy and even store images if done right.? Amar explained softly.
Soon their food and drinks were delivered and Ammy was still feeling the crystals.
