While Mirius and Ammy's anniversary had been long gone, there was a surprise waiting for Ammy within Den City. Mirius was sad not to be able to show Ammy the surprise on their anniversary day, but it was something that required so much time to do and finish. There was no doubt Ammy would have been able to tell that Mirius was hiding something from her in their mental link over their mating bond. There was also the fact she was suspiciously doing something some days that she likely avoided saying what it was specifically.

All of that was to be revealed today to Ammy, the gift Mirius had been so long wanting to give to her. Throughout the day Ammy would have been getting lots of text messages on her cell phone from Mirius telling her to come meet her at the Den City's circle. Even when Amy would be on her way she was still texting her in lots of excitement.

Whenever Ammy would get there though, there was Mirius sitting there on a bench dressed up in a short tank-top shirt and blue denim short shorts. She had a bit of dirt on her hands, arms and knees and clothes. But she was sitting there with her tail wagging so excitedly. She couldn't wait for Ammy to meet her. Her violet eyes were hidden under special glasses that changed with the environments lighting as they looked around for wife. She had been these glasses wearing so the sun did not hurt her eyes.

Today seemed like an odd day for Ammy. Her phone wouldn't stay quiet for 10 minutes at any time as text messages and calls from a very happy Mirius came in. Normally Ammy would find it amusing but she'd never seen Mirius this happy or excited for Ammy to meet her at Den City. Now Ammy was curious about what got into her often moody, but loveable mate.

So she left the shop in Lassie, Rawsha and Lene's capable hands and headed for Den City. She stopped by a bakery in Rhydin and picked up a few sweet rolls, a small shareable apple pie and four bottles of orange juice. Items purchased and in a sack she headed for Den City and in a little while was walking through the front gate and into the Den Circle looking for her overly happy mate.

"Ammy!" Mirius shouted the moment she saw her. She jumped off the bench, rushed Ammy, hugged onto her and gave her a long, passionate kiss. Without warning she then pulled a blindfold out of the pocket of her shorts and went to wrap it around Ammy's eyes to keep her from seeing anything.

"Ammy, Ammy, Ammy, Ammy! Got the biggest surprise every, great canis you're going to love it! Keep this blindfold on because I want it to be a surprise and if you take it off I swear I'll shave off all your fluffy fur, paint you green and make your hair neon white."

And if Ammy accepted the blindfold she would start guiding Ammy down the street slowly and carefully with an arm wrapped around her love's waist. "I know we didn't get to do a big celebration for our anniversary and all and i know sometimes you've gotten worried about family loving each other and all, so I had the best idea in the world, but I won't say it until we get there. So, I devised the biggest thing ever to do for us. No, it's not a picnic. I'm not cooking for that many people today or I'll go nuts and that dragon will probably show up and eat all our food again."

She'd twirl them both some as they kept walking. Maybe out of glee or just to confuse Ammy. "Go ahead start guessing what it might be." she said with a giggle.

Ammy's first reaction was a muffled "Oh my.." to the deep, passionate kiss but then she was blindfolded and that freaked her out a little.

"I... I'm not being kidnapped and taken to Igneous again, am I?" she asked nervously. The constant happy tone in Mirius' voice as well as mentioning family soothed Ammy's fears. She made sure the basket stayed on her arm as she was whisked down the streets by Mirius.

"My... you're very... excited. Did mix up teas again and get into the Cozy Cup of Peanuts stash I have, did you?" Hearing her asking her to guess about something Mirius did for their anniversary, she started to think.

"Uhm... you finally made up with your father? Maybe told the Den City officials to hang themselves? Maybe you became a four star chef? Did you uhm, make a virgin sacrificing stake to tie people to for our dragon society? If so, you know, I wont make a good sacrifice as I am way past that stage hon." She was laughing having no clue what Mirius had planned.

Mirius laughed at all of Ammy's guesses. "One of those was right, except it has nothing to do with what the surprise is. As for what you got right, I did tell some officials to go hang themselves not long ago. They didn't take that too lightly. They threatened to impeach me but uhm...that cooled down after some things were taken care of." She giggled and kept walking with Ammy guiding her down the street.

Once they were there she stopped and turned Ammy's body. "Ammy, not long ago I realized where everything started for you here. Where you, Fleet and Myrlene had lived in your rough years and maybe going back sometimes gave very bad memories." This was when she would start to remove Ammy's blindfold to let her see the surprise. "So, Me and a bunch of the family got together secretly and we redid your old home. Never again will you be reminded of those bad memories, but now you'll get to have new ones in the spot you started here."

What Ammy would see was a three-story home. It was really made out of brick, but on the outside it had beautiful, dark brown red wood paneling to give it a nicer look. There was a small balcony on the second floor with a fine wood railing to keep anyone from falling over. There was double-paned windows on each level for almost ever room of the house. There was even a small garage attached to the side of the house with a drive-way.

Outside of the house in the yard was beautiful green grass and gardens along the walkway up to the front door. Flower beds also surrounded the house itself as well. The front door was a double-door, wooden and had alchemy symbols etched all into it. The yard had walkways moving around the home although there was many flowers, including very exotic ones, along the sidewalks. In the large backyard there was a pond with koy fish swimming around in it as well as some trees in the yard to give shade and as well as a little playground for the children which included a swings, a sandpit and slides. There was also circular above-ground pool that was a bit big. There was even a meditation corner in the backyard that had circle stoned path leading towards it under a tree with bushes creating an enclosed spot for peace and privacy. The backyard also had a small little shed for all the gardening tools.

Mirius was grinning widely and licked one of Ammy's ears, "This is the new home, Ammy and you won't believe all who pitched in. Fleety, Rawsha, Orion, Tairen, Marilla, Garnet, Vuusoolta, Vixie, Mogriil, S'arallo, Fiim, Lassie, Dirge and Rose Steele, and myself. We all did various things and the outside is only the start of it. You should see the backyard, too and inside the house."

That was when she would start leading Ammy toward the cement sidewalk and would walk her around the house. "Me and Orion did a ton in the gardens and he and Fleety and Tairen helped a ton in building the house. I had some contractors come and help build the house quick and fast too and help with the planning. Needed all the supplies as well. But anyways." she spoke as she kept walking and added more. By now they were coming to the back of the house, "Fiim helped me make a little pond for you and she got koy fish to put into it so now you can have a pretty little pond with pretty flowers around it. And we got a pool for us all to enjoy. I made it above ground so none of the kids accidentally fall in. S'arallo also mentioned to me having a meditation area so we added one in the corner back there."

Ammy would also notice there was a double-door backdoor behind the house as well, except it was a transparent type door with a wooden frame. It was made of glass with diamond shaped patterns in it. All around the walkways throughout the yard was little lamps that guided the way whenever night time would happen. "Marilla helped with these cute little lamps everywhere so we know where we're going at night. And you might be wondering where all this land came from to have such a nice big yard and big flippin' house. The buildings near it were falling apart and were abandoned. Those that were sorta living in it we helped them find good homes and we made sure they were happy."

Then she would lead Ammy toward the back door and opened it for her. Inside the home the walls were paneled with wood just like the outside. The house would be as big as it looked from the outside. There was beautiful plants in pots in corners. The ceiling had fluorescent lights in the ceiling to light up the corridors and rooms of the house. Along the walls were small lights dotted here and there for the night when one didn't want to light up entire rooms or walkways in the house to guide their way through the house.

"Everyone pitched in to help build this home, Ammy. And they didn't do it because I threatened them. They did it because everyone loves you and wanted to show that they did. Of course, some people were busy, but I got who I could." She moved Ammy through the living room and the kitchen. There was big soft couches and chairs in the living room with coffee tables. The tables there metal with glass and there was a big flat screen TV against the wall in a big metal entertainment stand. It had gaming consoles, radio, all in cabinets with glass doors to hold all the items and protect the items along with the big TV. Then she added, "I asked Lassie's dad a big favor in this as well as my father. They both helped do a lot of metal framing in the home, especially here. We also got a metal framed bed and when you lay in its big soft mattress you will go into a coma I swear."

She giggled and moved Ammy to the big kitchen next. It was big enough for several people to stand in and move around, "In here we got a dish washer, all the cabinets high and low full of all our kitchen needs. Pantry, fridge with a freezer." Mirius opened the fridge, freezer and panty showing Ammy. "And if you notice all in these tasty treats. Gifts from Dosha Songpaw. She wanted to make sure we had enough food to feed our hungry family." she snickered and then closed them all. "Ooo, and all these curtains over the windows. Made of velvet. Lassie's mom helped make them for us and they are just lovely.

Then a tug into a new direction and they were in the dining room big enough for eight people. The table was long with cushiony wooden arm chairs and a big wooden table. "Dining room so when we're all eating a big meal together we can all sit together in here and eat."

After that she took Ammy down the hallway now, "We got a bathroom down here. Complete with a sink, toilet, shower, all that fun stuff." Then she came to another door and opened it, "This is the twins room. Two beds for whenever they're old to the point of wanting to sleep separately. Got the walls with wallpaper with all the different animals being all friendly and cute and plenty of plushies." She giggled. "They got a closet full of new toys, too."

moving further down the hallway she came to the next door, "Master bedroom right here by the twin's room so we don't have to be far from them." She moved into the bedroom, "I also got Rose to help make us some new clothes. They're in our big closet and I got it sectioned for me, you, Fleety and couple others." she smiled widely at Ammy. What Ammy would also notice is they had a personal bathroom attached to their bedroom off the side, and the bed was very big and there was big soft pillows to mach. It had silk sheets covering it for now.

She led Ammy out of that room and a bit more down the hall now and it was a single door at the end but Mirius avoided it for now. "Down this hall that last door leads to your garage with a very new surprise from Vixie and Mogriil. S'arallo also helped with the garage too, but we'll let you see that last." she giggled and winked to Ammy. Mirius was all excited today and giggly from happiness. Another tug of Ammy's paw and she took her upstairs to the second floor. On the edge of each step was little lights so anytime at night they gave off gentle glows so people could see each step.

While she walked up it she started explaining some other things, "Now one cool thing I wanna mention is Garnet and Vuu did some neat stuff in the house. In the entire house the water pipes they helped do have heating coils and are magically enhanced. So, whenever you want cold water, you get cold. Want hot? You get hot. They're supposed to last a very long time with the magical enhancing we'll never have a hot or cold problem and never run out of either."

Once on the second floor she motioned to the hallways, there was a few rooms in both directions. There was the balcony in sight, but before that there was a small living room with a smaller entertainment system and TV. "Up here is where the kids rooms are. Don't worry, if they make lots of noise we got a lot of the home padded so sound from anywhere gets muffled very good. Rawsha also helped do some magical enhancements to make sure the noise was cancelled. We have a room for Myrlene, Rawsha and some guest rooms in case anyone wants to stay here with us. There's two bathrooms up here for them."

Next stop was going up the stairs one more time . This wasn't as big since it was practically the attic. There was a small hallway containing three rooms that were almost average in size. At least enough for two or three people to be active in. All the rooms up here had runes etched by the doors acting as locks, although they were inactive for now. Mirius moved Ammy to the one room on the left. "These attic rooms are specially for you, Ammy, and maybe us if we bug you enough to let us use it." she grinned. She opened the door and let Ammy look inside. What would be inside was an alchemist's personal workshop. "Lassie and Rawsha helped lots in this. Rawsha helped ward the room heavily so if anything bad happens, only this room will be effected. But she and Lassie helped us put together this whole room for you. Best part for you is Rawsha helped make runes by the doors outside. She said you can customize them with your own magic and when someone puts their paws against them they can open the doors."

Once they were done she pulled Ammy out and down the hall to the second room. "You'll love this new little room." She said with a grin. Mirius opened the door and inside was a steam-punk kind of room. There was clockwork clocks, cabinets full of tools, tables to work on and more. It was clockwork galore in this room and was completely devoted to just that. "Now, Garnet and Vuu had a big gift for you a. A little workshop on your own, kind of like Garnet's. I know you probably aren't that heavy in that area, but we all thought you could create some very nifty stuff and learn more into it all."

There was then the last room she pulled Ammy to and in this room it was all high tech. "This one Marilla suggested. You now also have your own dedicated, personal high-tech work room. Maybe make some cool high-tech enhanced items or whatever you do." She grinned. "After getting all your memories I know that sexy mind of yours always like to create nifty toys and when I mentioned that to the others they all said that these three things up here, just for you, would sate that sexy brain of yours."

Mirius leaned in to give Ammy another long kiss. "Before you think this is it, I'm going to take you back downstairs and I'm going to take you to the garage. Vixie, Mogriil and S'arallo all have a surprise down there for you, so don't tell me how much you love me just yet until you seen that." she laughed. Still holding Ammy's paw, she pulled Ammy to go back down to the first floor and she would motion down the hallway to that last doorway. The same door that went to the garage. "Go ahead, Ammy. Go see what's in there." Big grin was on her muzzle as her head kept motioning to the door.

When Mirius mention Ammy's beginning and the roots that had her in nightmares some night, she trembled a bit. The trembles vanished as the blindfold slipped from her eyes. She stared in shock at the house. Her house so long ago, but only a ghost of a memory was left in her mind of it now. This new house was far from the two bedroom house her and her husband built. This was a house for a real family.

She let Mirius tug and guide her around the yards, amazed at how much space was here. Marveled at how beautiful they made the gardens, walkways, play areas, even a meditation circle! She could finally take time to find peace in her soul. The Koi pond touched her heart. She really loved Koi fish and would have to give Fiim so many hugs the next time they met.

Her astonishment wasn't fading anytime soon as Mirius lead on a tour of the whole house. Ammy couldn't speak, couldn't say what she thought. She was so blown away from all of this. Finally a kitchen to just cook. No more crammed meals or walk by eating. A real family dining room which made Ammy tear up a little. She'd been trying hard to pull her family together and keep it together. The room made it feel like she was getting there. She loved the room for the twins and her tail flicked happily as the master bedroom was shown. She walked through all the closets, even flopped on the bed and sighed in contentment, but she couldn't rest yet. More to see.

Following on she was amazed at all the fancy technology Mirius and Marilla had wrangled up for the family. The living room was big enough to dance in. Yes! Finally no more knocking over chairs, hitting shins on tables or tripping on stools. She loved all the spot lighting for night time and the second floor was amazing. The house was so big she could really offer people a place to stay when needed without feeling like she crammed every body into other rooms.

The attic floor though, cause the first sound to come from her. Soft sobbing as she was overwhelmed by the three work rooms. She'd lean on Mirius heavily as each room was shown to her, her mind already working and clicking away at the endless things she could start working on. Then the mention of something new for her to see in a garage of her own. Following Mirius down stairs she looked at the door to the small garage then back at Mirius.

Being shooed to go look Ammy walked down the hall to the door way and opened the door into the garage and looked inside. What she saw floored her even further. The garage was modern, full of tools to work on vehicles but the prize was what was sitting in the center of the garage. Ammy finally spoke as she walked up to the deep metallic blue and metallic purple motorcycle, all shiny and new.

"Mirius... I... how... it's all... oh my gods..." she broke down crying from all the joy and marvels she felt.

Her fingers slid over the gas tank of the motorcycle and looked at every line of the modified Harley Davidson.

"Orions first motorcycle. They... found it and modified it for me?" She wiped the tears from her eyes. "It was the first motorcycle I ever rode on. A part of the past I remember so well. The whine and hum of its engine was the music of the cavalry coming to save me rear."

She left the garage, pulled Mirius into a deep hug and gave her a long kiss. "I... don't deserve all of this, but I know you all would argue that I do. Thank you. Thank you with all of my heart and being my love."

"You're freakin' right we'll argue," she laughed and hugged Ammy tightly, kissed her and nuzzled her neck and ears. With an arm around her waist she would slowly lead Ammy back into the home. "I do have a few more things to show you, but we're going to relax inyour big brand new living room while I do. No, I'm not stripping for you."

When there she would motion for Ammy to sit on the couch. "We still gotta finish decorating here and there. I know there's likely some touches you'd want to do of your own." she grinned at Ammy as she went to a little end table at one side of the couch and she pulled out several framed pictures of the family all together and she set them in Ammy's lap gently. Everyone would be there together, smiling and even holding each other. No doubt a few funny faces as well.

That wasn't all. Mirius would also grab a remote and sit down next to Ammy. She turned on the TV and then started going through a few menu screens before pulling up videos. They were recordings from cameras showing everyone working, framing the house and sometimes being playful with each other. The videos would show their progress over time, the house coming together, how the rooms were being done, all the yard work and still everyone was there happy and participating. Ammy would also then notice there's a surround sound system in the big living room, too.

"Marilla got this really neat TV and it has its own storage device in it so it can store videos using some little memory cards and things. So you can just access them right on the spot." She smiled over at Ammy, gently leaned to her and wrapped an arm around her to hold her close. "Ammy, we all know you have been through so much and you've helped us and always offered hugs to us for when we needed them. Even though some of us have been a pain in your tail to you on occasions and we get mad at each other, we still love you."

Then Mirius started laugh, "This should've been a birthday present, not a anniversary gift. Oh well, you're getting it all one way or another."

Ammy Spiritor

Ammy took a seat on the nice, cushy couch and about fell asleep from the luxurious feel. She took the framed pictures and looked closely at each one of them, smiling. For once her family could find common ground, her. She would watch the videos on the t.v. Mirius was showing her and she was smiling again.

She pulled Mirius into a long hug that she'd be reluctant to release. "I'm simply being me, Mirius. Trying to never be who I was before I got several good chances at having a better life. You guy's put so much love and work into this house for me love. I doubt I'd have to put many wards around the house with this much personal magic invested by everyone.

As to this being a birthday and anniversary gift, may as well lump in Christmas, New Years and Valentines Day." Ammy laughed for long time, feeling good laughing in this house.

"I am just amazed you got the family to stop arguing with each other long enough to do something constructive. You didn't hire several armies to prod them did you?" she giggled.

Date: 2013-10-05 18:38 EST
"I was thinking about making AT-ATs guard your house at some point, but that would've been too much money." She giggled and hugged Ammy tightly when Ammy hugged her. "But don't worry. Rawsha and all them helped with wards around the house, too. It's all friendly to anyone in the family, especially to you. You can make it change anytime you like." She gave Ammy a small kiss.

"To the whole gettin' the family together thing. I kinda put everyone through some guilt trips." she grinned widely at that. "They probably also did it partially so I'd shut up about things. But really I wanted them to realize you want us all together, Ammy. I know you look at us all and want us all to forget our pasts and just be happy. We've all screwed up one way or another. None of us are innocent. Guess we have to all be guilty together."

Mirius took the remote and stopped the videos and then started making some gentle, calming music start playing over the surround sound speakers in the living room. "I think all this may have helped bring us all together some more. I am thinking sometime we can have another family dinner. I'll even do all the cooking this time, maybe have my mother come cook with me too."

Then she remembered something and grinned, "oh, Ammy. Forgot to mention one little thing." she pointed over to a nearby wall that had a little speaker with buttons on them. "We added in some speakers throughout the house so if someone's in the house, but don't want to search for them, can talk to those speakers to each or all rooms so you don't have to scream through the house to find or talk to someone."

"We.. have an intercom in the house?" Ammy looked genuinely surprised and joyful.

"Wonderful and the AT-AT's would be too noisy in the city anyways." She grinned. "How did you get so good at guilt tripping hon? Please don't say it's from me." More laughter from Ammy.

"You know a good family reunion would be great. Even get others to meet and greet my brother and sister. Think the family can handle having two Humaran's around in their midst for a few hours?" Ammy got up and stretched before walking around the house more getting cozy with the new feel.

"All of this has really made me very happy Mirius. I can't tell you how happy I feel. And you know I'm a bit hungry. How about we take the treats I brought and go out to the lovely yard you all put together and enjoy the fresh air?"

Mirius Spiritor

Date: 2013-10-17 02:42 EST
"I'm sure they'll do fine meeting them. Ain't like there's humarans around here buggin' people." she said smiling and stood up with Ammy, "Besides, I'll cook up one helluva dinner they won't leave either away. If they still try, I'll lock the doors." She started laughing.

Then she grinned widely at Ammy and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulled her close and gave her a long kiss. "I'd love to sit outside with ya and get some nibbles.... By the way, that reminds me. Some fox came by saying he knows you and he threw tons of coffee stuff at us. Had stored it all in the pantry for now."

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-10-24 16:20 EST
Ammy had to laugh hearing how Miriu's described Amauri. "Why yes, I know the fox. He's, uhm, how to say it, caffeine addicted? He gave me some time orbs to let me go back in time to see my parents once. I've never been able to repay him since then. He's a fascinating fellow."

Ammy led them both out and used the stone paths to go to the meditation area where she sat on the grass and sat the picnic basket down. "Don't tell Fleety, but I brought some strong beer and lots of salty, sinful snacks." she laughed more. It felt good to laugh.

"I am just so blown away by you Mirius. I'm starting to think letting you govern for a bit has really brought out all the qualities I love in you even greater."

Mirius Spiritor

Date: 2013-10-26 23:30 EST
"Why? Fleety gonna spank you for it er somethin'?" she snickered and followed Ammy outside, down the stone path and to the secluded meditation spot. She would sit down beside Ammy, crossing her legs as she got comfy on the soft grass and smile to her.

"Didn't like me being a lazy bum laying around your home did you?" she giggled. She would wait for Ammy to take things out of the basket. Mirius wasn't in any rush for food or drink. "I just really wanted to help do something big and special for you honestly. Felt like you could never catch a break, so I really wanted to give you one."

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-11-12 15:58 EST
Ammy opened a beer and took a long swig of it then got into the salty nuts and chips she opened. She gave Mirius a gentle smile.

"Thank you for giving me a place to have a much needed break. Honestly I didn't mind you being a bum around the house Mirius. You needed as much of a break as I do but I do know you're like me often. Being idle just drives you nuts." she giggled and sipped some more beer.

"As to Fleety spanking me for drinking beer. Well... it's more of an exaggeration. Shi does care about me and knows that while I'm drunk, I can't control my magic. It's a safety matter more than a punishment." she said then looked to the sky.

"I hope you continue to find rest with me Mirius and maybe learn some new skills from me. I'd love to teach you more than just Alchemy."

Mirius Spiritor

Date: 2013-11-20 18:29 EST
Mirius had given a little sigh. "I was just kidding. I already know about the whole drinking thing." A hand would drift towards a botle of beer, open it and started to drink some. Then she'd take some chips out of the bag and nibble on them.

"If I didn't think I wouldn't find more rest with you then I wouldn't have had this house built. As for learning new things, can always do that here in this house since you got like three personal workshops upstairs." She said with a grin to Ammy.

"Yes, I have a feeling teaching you in the house is all the time I'll have among other things once I get back into that governors seat your cute rump has kept polished for me." she smiled and sipped her beer.

"I hope the peace we have now will last a long, long time Mirius. I'm getting too tired and old to keep getting into wars. And don't tell me I am not old compared to you. Yeah, my body is young but hell, you've seen me ride it through hell and back often. My mind is just getting tired of violence. I'd rather be someones cute mate and a firm, unwavering backbone to a city. I'm sure the rest of the family would love a long spell of rest and joy. Well maybe not Lene." She took another sip of her beer and laid back on the grass.

"I swear she takes after me too much. Going goddess of war and all of that. Maybe I didn't give her enough hugs when she was young. I have a feeling she's not going to stay on the sidelines and just be a mother anymore with these new duties she has." she looked over to Mirius put her hand on Mirius' arm.

"We may have to back her up once in a while if she gets her little butt into something too deep."

Mirius Spiritor

"Oh the governor thing ain't too bad. Things run more smooth these days, so it won't be all time consuming. It was changin' the freaking city is what swamped me to death. No way in hell I'm doin' that again." she chuckled and sighed softly as Ammy talked about peace and then Myrlene. "I hope Canis is really right about peace for a long time for us all." she said softly.

Myrlene was on her mind too though and she looked a bit sad as Myrlene was talked about. "I didn't want her to become that, Ammy. Maybe it's stupid for me to talk about it since she isn't even my kid and I've only known her for a year, but I just don't think she needed this. What is it going to prove? What good will it do? Anytime I see this family go into battle mode, everyone just ends up hurt no matter what and generally not for the better. Limbs just end up falling off or something else tragic. I haven't seen anything good happen anytime anyone gets into this stuff." She laid down on the soft grass with Ammy and put her head against Ammy's shoulder. "Was trying to be more involved in her life and wanted her to enjoy being young for a while before entering a sucky adult life. Guess that's not happening."

Ammy Spiritor

Ammy reached over and gave Mirius' hair a few strokes. "Hon, she as much your daughter as Rawsha is mine. No one knows anyone 100 percent in their life. She's my own daughter and she's not told me a lot of things that go on with her life. I respect that as an adult since she is mature, but I do worry when she get's too far into things. Call it the mother in me and not wanting to see her end up like me. Some weapon swung in the name of any cause. Perhaps between you, me and Fleety, we can make sure her butt stays safe with helping her make sound judgements?"

She looked up at the sky for a bit, watching the clouds form and shape. "We're all worried for her. Not a single one of us in this family hasn't been touched by wars or military service. Perhaps fighting is written in blood for this family. All we can do is pray, if that still works, and hope and offer help where needed. Perhaps her being a young god, many will not look to her for a while until she's more credible?"

She held her belly a moment and laughed. "Listen to me, willing poor fortune on my daughter. Well I am sure the city will run fine whether you or me, or both of us running it, though I'm curious. Ever given any thought to helping Igneous with Fang Wood?"

"I don't know, Ammy. I just don't know." she said softly and didn't look happy about it at all. Myrlene did mean a lot to her and she didn't want anything to happen to her. "It's not about her being mature though, Ammy. It's about her still being young and still getting into life. She's only 4 years old for pete-sakes. I just.. find this all excessive." She looked to Ammy for a long moment. "What's the point in helping her if we don't do better parenting by telling her not to get into these things in the first place? It's all shoot first, ask questions later every time anyone does something in this family. I feel like getting to the point of not feeling bad anymore when something bad happens because people just jump into things aimlessly and then everyone gets upset when something bad happens." she gave a long sigh and closed her eyes.

Mirius would respond to the part about the city and Igneous though, "I've been talking with Igneous often. Was helping him before becoming governor. Running one city, assisting with another. It's not so bad. He should be thankful he's cute. Helps me tolerate him some days."

Ferunoth

Date: 2013-12-08 20:23 EST
The ancient black dragon Ferunoth would fade into view in front of the girls, sitting on the soft grass in front of them. Today he was no bigger than the size of an average domesticated canine. "Mirius, stop it. I can feel you distressing your wife over these things a universe away. " The dragon sat up and went to put a finger on the end of each of their muzzles, "Hush, no talking for now. Just keep your ears open and listen to me. And no interruptions. I know you're going to make them, so seriously don't make any. Yes, I'm that good at reading the future."

After a moment he'd take his fingers off the end of their lips as he looked to both of the women, although mostly at Mirius. "Ammy was right when she said it comes down to you adults helping guide her on the right path. Also, no, you're not a bad parent. Just because something bad happens, doesn't mean you aren't trying your best. I have children of my own. Lots of children. Some of them lived on to have normal lives, others went down a deeper, darker path while others went up a lighter path. My job as a parent was to guide them in life, give them the necessities and the training as young hatchlings to grow up and be independent dragons. Some of my children died, yes it made me angry and sad, but it happens." The dragon gave a long sigh.

Then he continued, "Myrlene is no different than the average kid. Yes, she's borderline adult in toddler age. She's not the first youngling with adult responsibilities. You do know there are many civilizations out there where they had kids become king or queen at the age of 6 or 8 because their parents kicked the bucket and were so strict about who the next royal leader was? It's madness to me. I would not let a kid who barely knows how to use the potty on time run a kingdom, but it happens." He leaned his head closer to them, "but it does not make the situation impossible. Even they have guides as they grow up. Myrlene is a queen on ascension. She's young, going to make some stupid mistakes she'll regret. A lot of terrible things will happen I assure you, but you can prevent most of these terrible things if you just simply be there for her. You have to let her know you are there to help, though. I literally mean you need to tell her face to face that you will help her and support her otherwise she will charge into things blindly thinking no one is backing her up. Do this and I assure you better things will come. She's young not stupid unless you let her be stupid."

"Another thing is Myrlene had to take this opportunity. If she didn't then terrible things could have happened. Lupis was losing his mind. I have seen this in Aribius' world. When a god loses their sanity and becomes a rogue weapon then the phrase 'all hell breaks loose' becomes an understatement. People like Aribius and his brother and where they come from are a result of what happens to a world. They lost all their morals, laws of living and sanity. Myrlene there did not lose the fight to Lupis. In fact, she didn't even fight him in the first place. Who would have thought just a challenge between a mortal and a deity being turned down would have decided the fate of just a single world? And don't worry, if Myrlene did the same here, it wouldn't be Rhy'Din that died. Lupis would've returned to Sliinkaa and kill your brethren. Just like he did mine."

His tail would curl around his legs now and he went to give a lick to either of their cheeks. "Do not frown upon the future, though. Bad things will always happen. Some people have less bad things happen, others have more. Your family simply is just the latter. That doesn't make life pointless. You girls have a big family to get through these problems. No more are you alone in your lives. In fact, you could change all this just by doing one simple thing: change your routine in life. Do something different. Go out to eat more, go to parties, dances, have family game nights. Do something.I swear all your family does is sit around and wait for trouble to happen. Don't act like I don't know. I do know. Even if I wasn't linked o Ammy right now I'd still know what your family does. Yes, I invade peoples privacy. Big whoop, what else is new."

"In short, I am saying you need to worry less. Especially you, Mirius. This is supposed to be a very happy day and you done gone all frowny face on your wife. This is a day to be happy, not sad. A day to celebrate, not mourn. Just do the things I told you to do, keep a positive attitude on top of that, and I promise you things will turn out well enough. Canis wasn't lying by the way. Peace and good things will come to you all." he winked to them. "Yes, I know about all that, too." He would come to rest on his belly and watch them both now. "Okay, now you can speak."

Ammy listened to Ferunoth as he rambled through his whole speech. The dragon had made several valid points. She took another sip of her beer and chewed on some jerky in quiet thought. She was often first to say something and easily defensive when addressed about her methods with her family like this. Today though, she seemed in a more meditative and thoughtful move.

"I agree with what you say Ferunoth. We really don't have enough fun. Just jobs and wars." She chewed on more jerky. "I will help Lene in every way possible, I... just need to know how to assist without making her feel as if she has no freedom. That and I need to really take a very long break for violence. It is wearing very hard on me."

While the dragon talked to them endlessly, Mirius wanted to interrupt several times. Although, she didn't. She just let him keep talking and started to frown some more. She felt stupid over having all these over-emotional moments. Ferunoth made it all sound much more simple and eye opening. A long sigh was given from Mirius, she held one of Ammy's hands tightly and put her head on Ammy's shoulder as she laid there with her wife. She had to admit the dragon knew a lot, even if he did talk in long speeches.

"Suppose you're right about a lot of things, Feru. We rarely do anything different. Just this house and a few other things, other than that we just stay at home." she said softly and gently closed her eyes. Ammy had another point. How were they going to help Myrlene without being pushy? "Yeah, how will we help her that way? And think I'm tired of all the fighting too." she said the last statement with a little smile.

Ferunoth

"That is easy. All you simply need to do is give her some hugs, tell her you love her every day and let her know that you will support her in any way possible. Mention that you will support her in her new goddess responsibilities. She's still young and needs to know that you all still love her. You're grown ups, you know you love each other without saying it, but younger minds may often need confirmation or reminders. So much can go on, confuse them and blind them that they can forget. She'll need to know you both have faith in her." He said smiling to them. He'd move to lay down inbetween the girls, getting all snuggly and wiggly. Maybe just to be silly and humor them some.

"Not only that, but to help you need to let her know that she can be open with you. When you go to give her advice, don't go and say this is right or wrong. You must explain to her like I am to you. No short little cliche phrases to sum up important notations. An aurora in the sky doesn't happen just because it does. There are reasons. All you need to do is watch your little girl grow. If she falls down and has trouble getting back up, help her up. If she is overwhelmed with what to do, give her a hug and ask her to say what's on her mind. Let her know you're there for her in any way. It will be like visiting a park and watching your daughter play with other children. You're not telling her how to play hide n' seek, or how to play tag or play in the sandbox. But when something happens that she can't control is when you do step in. That is when you truly help her without question. She'll have those moments. Everyone does."

Ammy listened to Ferunoth as he explained the best ways to help Lene with her new path of life. She laid back on the grass and absorbed the wisdom in the dragons words.

"I agree with many things you've said, Ferunoth, except for the being truthful part." She said softly.

"So much goes on in our family and outside of our family that often even me and Mirius don't know what is going on. How can we be truthful when half the time we don't know the truth? Also, many times I've seen the truth in our family backfire badly or send people down paths that they've hated going down later on in life. Is being so honest really a good thing?" She asked him.

Mirius looked from Ferunoth to Ammy to what she said to the dragon. Ammy had some good points, but there was things that were nagging at Mirius in the back of her mind to speak aloud. "What if you truly went through with lying to me and avoiding being my mate when I woke up from my coma?" she asked Ammy. She wasn't scolding Ammy or trying to upset her, but she was making her own point.

"I think he's saying we should just tell the truth in general. I mean, if you denied ever being with me again then this house wouldn't have been built for you and you probably would've been crying every night crying of heartbreak. I'd rather hear the ugly truth though. When people lie to me I just wanna smack 'em in the head." Though she'd smile at Ammy, "Not that I'd smack you, love, but I sure would give your tail a yank." She started giggling.

Ammy gave Mirius a warm smile and a soft sigh. "I don't know honestly why I thought lying to you would have lead to you being happier with someone else. It's true. I would have been in deep heartbreak if the lie went through, Mirius. Worse yet, I don't know what I would have told Rawsha."

She laid back on the grass again. "I've really worked hard on making one hell of a large family, haven't I, Mirius?"

Ferunoth

Date: 2014-01-05 22:05 EST
He listened to them at first to hear what the yhad to say before speaking his turn. He would frequently look between them both while speaking, "Knowing your family, Ammy, to stray from the truth so often will always have the domino effect that happens in your family? AM I saying to never lie? Of course not. Even I lie sometimes. Mirius pointed out a very good point. If you kept that lie going then quite a few people would be suffering. Lying about what color your underwear is wouldn't destroy the world, but lying about that evil guy over in the corner and claiming he's just a statue will."

Ammy sighed and just closed her eyes. She wasn't sad or worried, but just agreed with them both.

"Yeah. Lies have gotten the family into the messes it's been in several times. I... just hate seeing how hurt people are when I tell the truth, but I know that's a stupid mindset to get into. This kind of proves that you can be very old and still not know what the right thing to do is." She started to laugh softly.

"Too large of a family some days." she said with a laugh. Mirius just laid there with her wife, smiling as she continued listening to the dragon and her wife talking. Thinking about the lying topic reminded Mirius of a lot of her own life. A sigh was given.

"I think more than half my life I've just been lying my way through. Can't say it's been a blast. I remember when I came to Rhy'Din I'd lie my tail off about so much to get an advantage over others. I was even getting under Orion's skin and others just to help mess the Den up. Don't think I ever told him that though. Not even sure if he even figured that out. Not really proud about all the lying when I think about it."

Ammy leaned over and offered too feed Mirius a potato chip. "You know, I'd say not to worry about it too much love. I know a few philosophers that say when you look back on the past you see all of the mistake or choices you could of taken differently, but in the present day when you are faced with those difficulties you don't have access to that knowledge. You were simply following your head and heart those days. I did the same and I am not proud of many things I've done but look at us now. Hard to say we didn't come out on top of things pretty strong."

She gave Mirius a reassuring grin.

Ferunoth

The black dragon would get up onto his feet and nuzzled them both. "Well, looks like you got things from here again Ammy. I'll leave you both to enjoy your new home some more." Then his head turned to Mirius. "No more fussiness. Keep getting all huffy I'll turn each limb of your body a different color than each other." Ferunoth would then lick Mirius face, then licked Ammy's.

"Guess you're right on that." She would say wit ha smile to Ammy. Mirius would eat the chip that was fed to her before moving close to kiss Ammy. Though she was giggling a lot hearing Ferunoth and more so after being licked in the face. "Geez, okay, Feru. Thanks for coming anyways. It's nice to see you even if you do clear out our fridge in a short amount of time." she grinned and stuck her tongue out at him playfully.
