Second time she returned but this time empty handed and dressed differently. A pair of jeans that looked like they had seen better days and a top that looked about the same. Large headphones over her ears Katt was listening to something or another as she made way into the inn. Direct path to the bar.
Grem pads down the stairs from the rented rooms, carrying a thin backpack with one hand. A pause partway down to look over the room before continuing.
A yawn nearly toppled her into the bar as she made way behind the bar. Doink. Hit the corner but other then a grunt she kept on going. "(s) Should of slept more.."
A raised brow as he moves toward the break in the bar, watching Katt.
Fingers slid momentarily against the offended spot of her stomach as she stopped and peered down at the cooler. If she knew he was there she didn't show it. "Hm.."
He sets his pack down and leans against the bar, one thumb coming to brush along his jawline.
A blink and she glanced over to the movement. "Oh..Hey Grem!" Reaching up she tugged at the headphones to pull them to her shoulders.
A faint smile. "Evenin'."
"Um..how long have you been there?" And how long had she been rude? She murmured something at the music filtering from the headphones died off.
He shrugs. "'bout half an hour."
There was a long pause in which he was pretty much stared at. "Nuh uh. I came in not that long ago and....oh geez I'm sorry! I..didn't see you." She blinked, completely dumbfounded by the fact she overlooked him.
He chuckles softly, shakes his head. "I came down a couple minutes ago."
Her mouth closed. Okay now she didn't feel so bad. She gave him quite a stare before turning to the cooler. "I asked how long you were there not here in the inn, goof." Nudging the cooler open she started to dig around in the icy slush. "Get you anything?"
"Ah." He nods slowly. "Couple bottles of water?"
"A couple of bottles..? Uh..sure.." She grabbed two out and settled them on the counter for him to grab. "More?" She was already digging back in the slush, snatching up a bottle of cranberry juice for herself.
He looks between the bottles and his pack. "One more, if you don't mind." Moving to open the top flap.
She blinked a bit and nodded quickly, grabbing out one last bottle to place on the bar for him. "Packing for the trip?"
A nod, twisting the cap from one of the bottles. "Yeah. Thanks." And, holding the pack upright, he starts pouring it in.
And...issue a confused look as she watched this. Slowly her head tilted to the side and she looked between him and the pack. "Mrmm...." Dare she ask..?
A couple clatters issue from the kitchen door, as well as the scent of cooking meat.
He catches the look as he tosses the empty bottle into the waste bin, grabs another and takes off the cap. "Watertight." A faint smile as he undoes a zipper on the side of the pack, draws out a capped plastic tube.
"Mrm..." Nope still wasn't getting it. "Isn't it better just to keep it in the bottle?"
Is that Katt? A blue-furred tail pushes the swinging kitchen doors open, the similarly blue-furred alien follows after, carrying two trays, with another two floating behind in the air. "I thought I heard you out here Katt."
"This is easier to carry and little more aerodynamic than just stuffin' bottles in a bag. And it's less of a pain to get to the water on the move with this." The second bottle is emptied into the pack. A nod to Karadesh.
Her eyes shifted when she hear her name and a faint smile was given over to the furry one. "Hello Mister Sovanii." She glanced over to Grem then her bottle of juice. Back to Grem. "We need to get you a bag like mine! It's endless!"
One brow climbing. "Endless?"
"Probably a magical artifact, or a flatspace container." Kar says aside to Grem as he sets down the trays on the bar counter. "You guys leaving tonight?" One of his ears cant to the side in curiousity.
With a grin she pulled the bag off her shoulder and settled it on the bar. Of course it looked like a simple (though worn out) messenger bag. Opening it open she reached in..and in..her arm went well past the elbow yet the bag did not bulge out or even shift bottom. She blinked over to Karadesh at the question, stopping her digging. The question itself had him stared at.
"Okay, I heard you and Race talking the other night. Didn't hear all the details, just that you lot are going somewhere." His look is completely unrepentant. "I'd bet money that this isn't a social trip either." Now he grinned slightly.
"Ah." He nods to the demonstration, flips the second empty into the waste bin. Pack closed, he twists the cap from the third bottle. A glance to Karadesh, no comment given, before he takes a sip.
"Listening in on others conversations isn't really nice, Mister Sovanii.." She frowned at him specially considering she told him that the conversation that was going on was privvy. "No beignets for you for the rest of the month."
"And here I even cooked you lot a nice dinner." He frowns, but it's not a serious frown. "Look Katt. Whatever you three are up to, the fact that him and Batten are going means it's gonna be dangerous. I want in."
Him and Batten. Hrmph. Her chin turned up and she just sort of stared at Karadesh from the bridge of her nose.
He frowns faintly, one hand moving to dig a cigarette from his shirt pocket.
"This is a small group outing and just because my brother is coming along doesn't mean it is going to be dangerous." She was simply annoyed that Karadesh hadn't respected the privacy when told it was just that.. Private.
His features soften as he lets out a long breath, "I'm getting a little tired of being left on the sidelines Katt. Tired of waiting as others risk it to protect people. So I'm telling you now, I want to help."
"This is somethin' that more people could make it more dangerous." Softly. "Not sure how much, though."
Now he turns to nod to Grem, "I can understand that if that's the case. All I ask is that whoever's in charge consider my offer. And as for privacy Katt, what I heard was as I approached you and Race... *Before* you shooed me off." Yep, this time he was using the surface thoughts Katt was almost broadcasting.
He nods, setting the cigarette to his lips and going back for his lighter. Flick, puff.
Sighing her head tilted down and she huffed out a breath. "Fine. I'll tell them they can drop me. More then what we have would be too much.. And it isn't like we are ignoring your want to help." Her hands shoved down into the pockets of the hoodie, completely forgetting about her bag and the drink.
