The team had formed.

The Governor had given the order.

It was time for action.

And that time was upon them. The Avengers had formed some short time ago, and had been learning to work alongside one another as a team and preparing for the right opportunity.

Cohesion.

It was essential to any unit, and the Minister of Defense knew that quite well. Admiral Wolvinator was something of a master tactician, he had been learning the strengths of his team and even more importantly, the weaknesses of his enemies.

The partly cloudy evening sky held just enough cover to block the moonlight that did it?s best to illuminate the street below. The clock was well on its way towards the hour of two and while most of the city slept comfortably in their beds, the criminal element was well into their activities. But what they weren?t ready for was a tri-fold attack, coordinated harmoniously by three Avenger units. It was the perfect blend of surprise and deception.

Wolvinator perched on a rooftop which was cattycorner and looked down on the roof entrance to the Walton Towers, which on the street was known as The Terminus Syndicate Building. It was a sleek black building which rose ten stories above the street below and housed one of the planet?s most dangerous organized crime affiliations, the Terminus Syndicate.

The syndicate originated in the city of Terminus, which was the next largest city outside of the Stars End Spaceport, directly on the other side of Rhy?Din. It held satellite operations in this building to gain a foothold on the extortion, drug and slave trades throughout Rhy?Din city; and over the years managed to become quite effective. The members were dapper, clearly Mafioso types, with enough firepower to start a small war if they deemed necessary. It wasn?t only enough to keep the City Guard at bay, but it made any other criminal organization think twice before they encroached in on the Syndicate?s business.

Inside the building were as many as thirty slaves being held for sale, most of them were young women that were being forced into intimate servitude by whichever owner claimed them. According to stationary surveillance, these slaves were being sold off to the highest bidders before the weeks? end and any further delay could result with the inability to safely liberate them.

Wolvinator?s eyes focused on the two rooftop snipers that were in position atop the adjacent building. He counted their steps, watched their body rhythms and motions, timing their patrol pattern. Two-oclock was almost on-top of him, and it was time to start moving. Pressing his hand to the outside of his ear?s tragus, he spoke into his communication device.

?Team one,? he whispered, ?prepare to initiate the Emancipation Operation. Aly, go ahead and knock on the front door, see if they?ll invite you in.?

His other three team members were all in separate positions, ready to carry out their objective the moment the clock reached the top of the hour.
