Hello True Believers! :)

While I'd rather PM you all in one post, I realized that the way the board is formatted would make this impossible, so I think the easiest way to reach everyone would be to create an OOC sticky for the time being in regards to the Story Line.

First, I figured the title "The Emancipation Operation" would be appropriate. :)

Basically the Avengers are (finally) assigned their first task as a unit. To seek out and take down a few of the major Slaving Operations in the area. Anyone who wants to be involved, Avengers-wise, feel free to step up. I'd prefer we work in squads, and we can either knock down one huge Slaver organization, or take out a few of them in tandem. Also, I think knocking out a few at the same time would be ideal.

It's best that we work with made up, NPC Slaver associations. I don't want to go in and tread on anyone elses storyline, unless another Slaver Character/Group wants to be involved. But basically, this is the Avengers first mission, it's going to be successful, and it's going to make all the news outlets go bonkers.

I'll give it a day or two to sink in, and then I'll make the first post and we'll get this puppy rolling. Feel free to discuss the SL within this thread.

I feel... rusty. I could be in for a few squeeks unless anyone's alergic. And I think using NPC slavers is probably a good idea for a first run. How we doing this, mostly message board? Mostly Chat? Who's on first, what's on second, and all the other 20 questions... :cool:

Can always find a reason for Sy to run interference, besides pairings should always be one ranged with one heavy hitter.

Rhaine can fit into nearly any group (as a melee fighter, caster or ranged attacker with plasma gun if necessary), and would obey an order to join any group. You might consider her for tagging along with Alystrianna and Neo.

All three of my Seraphim Knight characters are available to use for this. You can take any of them, all of them, none of them. :) Here are the gists of their combat-related strengths and weaknesses. They do have personality-related strengths and weaknesses too, but those are best discovered in play. :)

Neo is good for close range and long range fighting, thanks to his sword skills, magic skills, and arcane sword artes. He's good for inflicting both physical and magical damage. However, mid-range is awkward for him because it's too far to swing at, and too close to risk casting. He also doesn't have any particular personal advantage in one area or another. He works all of his attributes equally. There's also the fact that he's the Keeper of Water. Big plus being control over water, big minus being weakness to fire and lightning.

Jin is a simple close to mid-range fighter that inflicts purely physical damage. He has extreme physical strength and speed, and can increase it using Spiral Power (fighting spirit) just by getting psyched. Spiral Power can be channeled into his artes and expended to make them stronger, too. However, his magical skills are very low, but not nonexistent thanks to his race's predisposititon to magic. That means he can't take magical hits so well either. Spiral Power helps with that, but not much. And his long-range game is almost non-existant. The only way he can cover that distance is by running across it.

Kersh is a mid to long-range fighter. He fights using his guns, and can inflict either physical or magical damage with them. All of his weapons have runes that allow him to channel memories from the Kingdom of Surl into them and modify the way they fire. He can also directly channel those memories to affect the emotions of his target. He has alllllll sorts of gun weapons, but he can't carry every one he has on him. He has to know about the situation before hand and prepare appropriately. If he doesn't have the right tool for the job, that's more opportunity for enemies to get in close, where they can seriously wreck him. Physically speaking, he's pretty weak.

Unfortunately, with my schedule and other commitments, I will only be available on Saturday night - and even then for only a few hours.

Sorry I wasn't on last night. Some things came up and wasn't able to be on. Although some good news is.... I have tonight, Saturday, free!! I usually don't. I dO, however, have to work won't be on until after 7 pm est the earliest.

I think Jester would definitely be good as hired muscle, Rhaine the seller and the rest of us be bait. Are women the only slaves traded? What a comodity... One former public figure, one male and another female... Or leave Leuni outside, since she's not that remarkable, and be better suited to sense what's going on with the inside and can either run interference if things go bad or else run for help if they are really bad... just some thoughts.

Group 2 has a paper doll for their mission just waiting on that post Wolv said he was going to throw up that would kick start the actual write-play portion of it.

I can probably be around both those days, but a little later on Friday. Depends what time the game gets over. (Yes, I support my local high school football team) My mind is already formulating a few plans I need to run by you guys.

It seems the difficulty in getting together is common across all three teams. Maybe each team should find a time to get together in the lobby and do some planning. Let's all post what times we're available, and then get together on the open times that each member of a team has in common.

I'll go ahead and start. I'm available at most all times aside from these: This upcoming Wednesday night, this upcoming Sunday night, and during the day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

While they may be similar, the Avengers SL is a separate story entirely. I know things have seemed like they're in a slump, but there are a lot of people back to school, work and also busy with family.

I've been a bit busy myself, but I'm trying to get together with Wolvie's "team" to continue that section of the story, hopefully as early as tonight.
