Bayne chuckled at the idea." How could you honestly expect to feel as our equal? We are immortal, you are simply a gifted human.. The idea is laughable" And he proved it by laughing at her thoughts before returning to the murky depths of his own.~
"How are you immortal when you are undead?? Alyssa asked.
Victor stepped out from his personal chambers and strolled down a corridor leading into the main audience chamber, his ears twitching to the sound of Bayne's laughter than to Alyssa's words, his eyes switched between the two as he walked into view.:: "Ah, a bit of a contradiction that one isn?t it Alyssa? We are immortal...to an extent. We have weaknesses, but nothing compared to a mortal such as yourself dearest" ::His voice was smooth and captivating::
Bayne looked over to Victor and smiled. "Well timed as always Victor, were you a thespian in a past life?" The chuckle wasn't very well hid but he wasn't trying too hard. Turning his gaze back to the mortal woman he gave Alyssa a wink. " He answered that rather well don't you think? " ~
Alyssa looked away from Bayne to Victor. "I think I am going to my room." She turns quickly and moved toward her chambers.
Victor arched an eyebrow towards Bayne and offered a shrug:: "Something I said?" ::he asked a bit amused, then turned his attention to Alyssa:: "Wont you stay? I rather enjoy your company"
Bayne returned the shrug with one of his own, his expression that of innocent cluelessness. "I heard nothing out of line, but I may not have been paying attention again.." He sat up and did a small somersault, landing near the doorway to the corridor Victor had entered by~
"What else do I have to say, Victor. I can't speak my mind unless I fear the consciences of it. I am yours, and I don't have to like it." Alyssa turns around slowly, her blue eyes on his face.
"Ah well played that one dearest, unfortunately a guilt trip wont get you far in this house. The incident which you are obviously referring to was the one where I laid out exceptionally civil terms to your....life, as it were. And you showed your gratitude...or lack of rather, by spitting in my face.... not literally of course or you wouldn?t be speaking your mind as you are now. Regardless, as you said, you ARE mine, and I want your company, therefore you shall render yourself as requested. understood?" Victor reminded her.
Bayne looks on with a mock-shocked expression, carefully making sure he is out of sight of Victor as he does so. This girl had a lot of nerve considering what she inevitably put herself through by her own poorly chosen words.~
"Understood." Alyssa moves closer to him.
Victor offers her a nod of approval and takes hold of her hand pulling her body to his and snaking his other arm around her slender waist, locking her form against his, then looked down into her eyes:: "Oh Alyssa, why must you make this difficult? I had hoped you would come to terms with your new lifestyle, however forced it was put upon you, and make the most out of your situation. I had hoped for this to be a pleasant union....but it is coming more and more apparent that I am going to have to be the monster in our little tale aren?t I?"
"Because I am a stubborn human that doesn't know my place." Her hands settled on his chest.
Looking on, Bayne just shakes his head in silence and moves back to his seat, dropping himself carelessly into it and sighing an overly loud sigh before looking at the pair from his now inverted state. "I'm not sure but I think you actually enjoy the fire that young one has inside her Victor. Then again I have been wrong before.." He let his sentence die off, shrugging to himself in a theatrical fashion and lolling about as like a big hound would~
Victor flashed a grin towards bane and offered a slow nod:: "Perhaps you are right my brother...excuse me while I go attend to this....fire, within her." ::With that he carried Alyssa to his personal chambers::
Bayne rolls over and sighs.. "I truly hope that fire holds strong girl.. Be a shame to see it die out.." He spoke to none in particular, just letting his words fall upon deaf stone~
