Topic: A Dragon, A Wolf and a Girl named Raven

Kos had found himself a new life here in Rhydin, though he was not leaving behind his old life in Asharan. He still had an Empire to run, but Kos did not count on meeting two people here that would change his outlook on things. First was Serena, who was well adopted Niece, but not related in any way, except name.

The other being Raven, a small Wolf pup with some Demon blood. A Wolf pup with a special gift, and a special destiny. Raven was a shapeshifter, and she was destind to become a Queen one day.

And it was Kos' destiny to be there for Serena, to help Raven reach that Destiny one day. And why? well this he would do out of Love.

Raven sits on the beach of Twilight island. Her silver hair was tied back into a braid with a light blue ribbon in it. Her steely grey eyes watch the shore almost in content ment. Around her waist was a silver belt with a dagger in its holder on one side and a pouch on the other. She wore a light purple dress and no shoes.She looks no older the say ten years.

As she watchs the tide come in and rush out, she thinks of her Mother and Uncle. She loved her mother alot and is happy that she is her daught. A slight chuckle leaves her lips as she thinks about her uncle, Kos. He aslways kept her amused and happy. All in all, she was content and happy with her family.

(This is a series of posts in relation to a Trek made by Kos and his adopted daughter, Raven. They are in search of something on the highest mountain peak, in the Northern mountains. In a cave, the credit for starting this thread Idea goes to Yuki Densetsu Mun, as this is her character's destiny, I am simply posting it for her. With her permission.)

Planewalker: Kos and Raven teleported to one of the foothills of the Northern Mountains, near a small village. It was cooler so Kos took from his bag of holding a heavy coat for himself and bought a heavy coat for Raven to wear in the village's general store. Before them loomed the high, rugged, wild northern mountains, covered in snow at their peaks. Sun and clouds in the sky above.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven snuggles into her jacket. She helps her dada pick out supplies*

Planewalker: Water, food, a map of the mountain paths, torches, flint, rope, and climbing boots. All the needed supplies for a mountain trek, good thing Kos had experience. Once done in the shop, he and Raven go to find local guides, two men, one human and one a dwarf. Kos pays the men and then turns to Raven..

"Now honey which way should we go from here?"

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven thinks for a moment and points to a path that leads to the highest of the peaks*

Planewalker: Kos looks to the two guides and then compares maps, using a sextent and looking at a compass. There is some discussion, the Human guide wont go, but the Dwarf will. The Human returns the money and leaves. Kos takes Raven's hand, after tieing a rope to her and to him, secured by his belt and with the Dwarf in lead, they head off a remote path up the mountainside.

Yuki Densetsu: * Raven walks closely behiund her dada. She seemed to enjoy the walk at first*

Planewalker: Up the slow going path, up as they climbed up the mountain, hard and then steep in angle, a little rough. The Dwarf and Kos have no issue, within the first hour of the climb, they make it about a thousand feet in elevation. Kos looks to Raven to see how she is doing.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven was shivering hard. She wasnt used to the cold*

Planewalker: He stops the Dwarf guide, Nurion StoneFoot and bundles up Raven for the Trek in the cold mountains. He also puts a wool cap on her little head, and has her between him and Nurion, so she is safer
that way. Nurion ties a rope off to Kos and then the three go on, climbing up the mountain side trail.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven asks question after question all the while*

Planewalker: Kos and Nurion finds it helps the Trek go faster, and Nurion regards the little spitfire like one of his young nieces, even at one point as they stop on some revine along the mountain. Here at this resting point, a basecamp of sorts, Nurion offers Raven some hardy Dwarven golden nuggets candy, dark chocolate with almonds in it, in the form of a small bar. Kos takes out some warm cocoa in a thermos to all three and some trail mix.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven tries the candy and likes it. She store the rest for Later and sips her hot chocolate.

Planewalker: And after the 30 minute break, the three leave the basecamp, refreshed and ready to climb, boots on for this part, crossing a glacial valley. The high mountain peak before them, due North,shrouded in clouds, ice and snow. They were now at about 5,000 feet after a six hour climb. It was getting to be 11 am in the morning. Still plenty of light left.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven strats to slow half way up the climb. Her breathing was getting heavy*

Planewalker: Kos then picks up his daughter, and places her on his back, making sure she was safe, securing a safety harness for a climbing kit arround himself and her. He knelt down so Nurion could help secure the harness..

"Three maybe four hours and another 7,000 feet, sir."

Spoke Nurion, as the wind started to pick up some. Kos nodded..

"Lets go then. Raven put up your hood and scarf now sweetie."

Then up he stood and they trekked on across the glacier field, carefully.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven outs on her scarf and hood. She clings to Kos. She heard the voices again.*

Planewalker: Kos stopped for a monent as they cleared the Ice field now, getting his climbling boots on as did Nurion. Then he turned his head some to Raven..

"Raven honey, which way now?"

Yuki Densetsu: "We have to go to the Cave that faces the sun during sunset."
* She meant they where to go east(?)*

Planewalker: "So we must go west then, up the west slope." Said Nurion to Kos and Raven.

"Is there a trail on the west slope, Nurion?"

Asking of the Dwarf guide, Nurion nodded..

"Aye sir, tis a dangerous path, we best be on guard now."

Kos nodded and on they went, appraoching the start of the Western slope trail and indeed it seemed treacherous.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven was quiet now. It seemed the cold had sapped abit of her energy. She just clings to Kos*

Planewalker: And up the mountain they went, climbing foot after foot, a few stumbles here and there, using pickaxe, climbing ropes and climbing hooks. Trekking on, the wind and cold, hampered and slowed
the trio down. Through the wind and snow, a cave was indeed seen about 2,000 feet up, facing the West. It was hard to spot, but it was there, and so it seemed Raven's vision was true.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven's eyes glow a brighter gold as they get closer to the cave*

Planewalker: Kos seemed to have a stronger resolve as the Cave was approached, as if this was meant to be. The Trio moves forward and up, into a small, narrow valley, carved from Ice. Rock and Ice and Snow
form steep slanted walls on each side, and the end of the Valley is the Cave, it was not a large, nor smallenterance, and looked roughly like some monster's maw. Carved from water and ice, from the very Granite.
"Is that it Raven, sweetie?" He points to the Cave, ahead of them.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven looks at it. Her eyes are now pure gold in color.* "Yes."

Planewalker: They continued on, about another 30 minutes, it was now arround four in the afternoon, the Sun, shining through the Clouds,overhead, heading to the West. As it did, the rocks on the Cave mouth, sort of, well started to glitter, like Gold. Once the Trio made it to the Cave mouth, Kos and Nurion took off their climbing boots. Then with Nurion's help, Raven was left down off of Kos' back. "From here Nurion, Raven and I must go alone." Nurion nodded and Kos and Raven went inside.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven leads the way. She leads Kos to a chamber that seemes to be sealed with thick ice. It had the gryphons wing symbol on it.*

Planewalker: Kos follows his daughter's lead to the Chamber, and looks over the symbols, as he lights up two torches and places one in a torch sconce, that flank the sides of the Ice door. And looks to see if there might be some way of getting in. "Well sweetie, any idea on how to get through this Ice Door?"

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven puts her hand on the door. The contact point glows midnight blue and the ice shatters.*

Planewalker: "Ok then that works..after you darling." He takes a torch and waits for Raven to lead to way.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven goes in.On the wall of the chamber where the story of the Gryphon.*

Planewalker: Kos too with torch in hand..reads the story of the Gryphon, and its importance in the the Land of Omashu.

Yuki Densetsu: *The Gryphon, according to the texts, was the spirit that governed all Water. She is always the first of the Four sacred Beasts to be born as a human. Once the water around Omashu became tainted, the Gryphon fled. The other sacred Beasts fled as well, and the Kingdom fell*

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven seemed oddly calm. She looked happy almost. Her eyes were still gold in color.*

Planewalker: "Sweetie, is this what you came to find here. This Tale of the Gryphon's purpose, your Destiny as it appears on this wall. Does knowing this, bring some peace to you honey?"

He asked his Daughter, in a solemn tone of voice.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven walks toward the center of the chamber. On a podium in the center of the chamber was a Sword. It glowed soft blue. She gently picks up the blade and smiles as her powers harmonize with it.

Planewalker: He just watches, he feels as if this is a good thing that is happening so he does not interfere at all. Kos stands still, but guarded, this was his daughter.

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven sheaths the blade and picks up the other item. It was an ocarina. It was a deep sea blue color.*

Planewalker: He stepped over quietly to Raven.,"Sweetie whose sword and ocarina are these? Are they the sword and ocarina of Queen Star, Omashu's last ruler?"

Yuki Densetsu: "Yes, she was the last one to gain the Gryphon's blessing and get these gifts."

Planewalker: "I see honey, so you are the Reincarnation of Queen Star then?" He gave a quizzical look.

Yuki Densetsu: "I guess so." *Raven studies the ocarina closely*

Planewalker: "And so we have found what you needed then, daughter? These items and the Tale of the Gryphon?

Yuki Densetsu: *Raven nods and stores away her ocarina. She then falls to her knees. She was drained.*

Planewalker: With that Kos takes Raven, finds Nurion, grabs them both, Teleports all of them back to the Village. Then Kos takes Raven home, Teleporting home, and when there, he puts Raven to bed. And heads
to get a drink, as that was a really long damn journry.

And Finis for now..
