When they got home Quinn realized he was still holding the bottle of scotch, and the glass from the Inn. A grumble and he set the glass in the sink and the bottle up in the cabinet. He had already had enough of that to be a massive ****. And there was no one there he should be an **** to.
He paced back and forth a moment and really did wonder what was with straight people and their fixation with people who weren't hetero. How homosexuality somehow became a sign of weakness, about how it was the lesser of people. Someone had deep seeded daddy issues and this was clearly something he wasn't equipped to handle while intoxicated.
Levi had gotten out of the truck and waved good night to Mark. Initially they were going to all lounge around the RV, have a few drinks and maybe play some cards. But Quinn's foul mood had Levi telling Mark that it was best to let it go.
By the time he got into the RV the scotch was already put up. That was a good thing. And while Levi had a few sips of the stuff at the Inn, he wasn't exactly drunk. Quinn was pacing like a caged animal so Levi went to the door and opened it up for him. "You need to run."
There was a moment where he looked at Levi as if asking if his human was letting him out. Now that was never good. When Quinn felt like he was being treated like a dog, he usually lashed out. Being done so by a human, probably way worse but he just stood there and stared at Levi, there was a blank look on his face and slowly, the edges softened.
And then he laughed, like really laughed, holding his stomach and laughing so hard that he hand to use his free hand to steady himself against the counter and after a moment or two he was wiping his eyes. "Did you just..." He took a breath and smiled. "Did you just tell me I needed to go out?"
Levi watched Quinn carefully, staring back at him when he was being stared at. Yes, he'd held the door open and yes, he had suggest Quinn go outside for a run. He didn't see anything funny about the suggestion or the act. His brows furrowed curiously and he waited for Quinn to stop laughing.
"What? No!" he shook his head and started to see the humor in it. "I just know that when you're aggravated you feel a lot better after you've ran or had a hunt. You know, work off that aggression and all. You're not a puppy who has been house trained. You're a man who is upset because sometimes words hurt. And you restrained yourself in there like no tomorrow. I just thought that you might want to run a bit."
"I just...You wanna come?" He raised a brow to Levi and started stripping out of his clothes. Carefully removing, the cards, the wallet, his keys, money clip, some coins, and he was carefully removing his watch and the leather cuff. He had never asked a human to come with him before, wasn't even sure Levi would want to come with him. But truth was, he felt that Levi deserved to run with him. Saila had, but he knew Saila could have killed any or all of them if needed. Quinn couldn't trust Levi with the three, on a moon, at all. But this wasn't a moon and he was alone. He searched pale freckled features for his reaction. Was Quinn insane? Possibly.
