It was early in the morning, and the chirp-chirp of the birds could be heard in the distance. The spring morning was a bit chilled, but nothing that he couldn't bare. He watched the street quietly, listening to the morning noises grow. A few people began to come out just after the sun came up over the horizon.

He remained standing, his arms folded behind him as a young blond girl came down the street. Over he shoulder was a heavy bag, in the opposing hand she had a small suitcase. Her hair was pulled back into a tail, warm sweat clothing adorned her body. Her smile was flashed in the direction of the black uniformed figure.

He waited for the girl to arrive in front of him before he offered his own polite smile. "You decided to join me then." It was more of a statement then a question, and she nodded her head quietly, looking up into his auburn eyes with her own bright blue eyes.

"I can't believe I'm doing this," she says, half jokingly. She set the case down on the dirt road then adjusted the strap over her shoulder. "But, you were right, I have to discover the world. That means being on my own!"

He nodded and looked over the street to make sure there were no others. He reached down, taking the case from off the ground. "I believe that you can only find true freedom when someone helps you discover what it is."

The girl nodded and smiled, watching him, she blushed slightly. "Thank you!" She grabbed his folded elbow, encasing it in her own. "Where are we going to go?"

He smirked, leading her down the road. "I have a place that no one will come looking for you. You will be safe there." He walked, keeping an eye on her and on the horizon as he led her along the path. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He inquired of her. Of course, she would. The black ribbon that she had laced around her neck told her so.

"Of course! I want to go with you! You are going to show me freedom! Real freedom! Away from my parents and teachers! I am so excited!"

He chuckled darkly. "I am glad to hear that, my dear." He continued on the path, leading them out of the city and towards the forest.
