The shuttle touched down on the grounds outside the towers. The dirt kicked up, turning to dust and smoke as the repulsors remained test firing before shutting off. The ramp opened and extended down to the ground. The black form emerged from the ramp way. Things seeming to be somewhat larger than he remembered. His auburn eyes settled on the girl that greeted him at the bottom of the ramp.

She began to fill him in the details of items that had been missed over the las two days as they walked towards the grand doors of the tower. The doors opened with no word or command from either. The footsteps of the dark one echoed throughout the tower's great hall. The girl informed him of the location of his corpse in the tower.

"Take me there." He said darkly. There was a harder edge to his voice as he commanded the girl. She shivered visibly as he walked in step behind her. His auburn eyes were narrowed as they passed through the hall and down a corridor. The girls had relocated the body to its proper place.

Upon arriving, the girl took the belt and saber hilt from the husk. The belt and the saber hilt were handled by the girl with such reverence before she delicately resized the belt and placed it upon his hips. He didn't remember it being this heavy before. The girl dropped to her knees, lowered her head and extended the saber upwards to him with it laying across her palms.

His chilled fingers brushed hers as he took the saber and placed it at the small of his back. He reached down, caressing the girl gently, allowing the growing chill to wrap around and reward her for her reverence. Upon completing his attire, he began walking out of the storage room towards his office.

Katerrina was on her way to her Master's office. With the deaths of both Master Travanix and Lord Pol, she needed to know what was upcoming. What orders were near completion. She knew she had to carry on, even though her heart was a stone in her chest.

She heard footsteps approach from the opposite direction. Heavier ones, not one of the girls. Her hand went for her saber, her senses were on alert. How did an intruder get in here?

Katerrina moved silently towards the office door. She felt a disturbance, one she didn't recognize. The purple blade ignited with a snap-hiss. She wouldn't allow anyone to destroy her Master's work. Her eyes went blood-red at the thought of his enemies here, tearing down what he built. She'd kill anyone who tried.

Her rage fueled her as she ran towards his office, her saber a purple blur as she leaped for the intruder she sensed. There was no warning given, and there was no mercy inside her. Only cold rage and grief.

As he took one more step, he sensed Katerrina. But not before she made an assult towards him. In a flash, he realized that he would not be recongized, and his body was taking some time to adjust to his control.

None the less, his reflexes and training kicked in, as he grabbed her arm, pulling her towards him, as he smacked the saber from her hand and then slammed her into the marble floor. One hand still on her wrist, the other on her throat, applying enough pressure to her neck to stop her flow of air.

His auburn eyes gazing down at her, staring into her eyes. "Do that again, and I will rip off your limbs and feed them to you as a main course. Is that clear, my apprentice?" Came from his throat in a chilled and vile tone.

He caught her wrist just before her saber connected with his head. Katerrina cried out as her saber was smashed out of her hand, disengaging and rolling across the floor. Before she could summon it back to end the intruder, Katerrina was knocked backwards onto the marble. She felt blood pool in her curls, but it was the hand choking her that had her fighting.

Until she heard that voice.

Katerrina stared into the eyes of the intruder as she gasped for breath. The hand on her throat was smaller. The body was lighter, more slender. The face was much younger. But the eyes were the same. Was this a trick sent by the Elder? She managed to choke one word out as her vision began spotting from lack of air.

"Master?"

He smirked darkly at her questioned glance. "Who else would it be, girl?" He offered, as he ripped her from the ground, then slammed her against the wall. Though he was shorter, his body still responded, and now he was looking up at her.

He watched her eyes carefully. "Have you come to finish off what the old man could not? Is that the reason for this? To catch me in a weaker moment, where I would be less able to defend myself?" There was a rage that was uncontroled in his voice - was it due to her attack, and the supposed traitorous actions or is it due to his mishap. Regardless, the cold chill in his flesh was the same as the cold attitude he was pushing out.

Any air Katerrina had left was slammed from her body when he flung her against the wall. Her shock was very clear to see as he accused her of deliberately trying to kill him. She shook her head, which made blood smear on the wall behind her.

"No Master, I didn't recognize you. I thought you were an intruder sent by the Elder to destroy your work." Katerrina took a breath as tears made her vision blur worse. "I saw him strike, I watched you fall. I carried your body back here."

She fought to keep control over herself. "I thought you were dead, my Master."

He growled at her response, his own words coming out. "Rumors of my death have been greatly exagerated." He bounced her off the wall once, then released her. His arms folding behind his back. "The old man would not be caught dead within the Tower." He brandished the words against her. He turned from her, walking towards his office once more.

"I am pleased that you returned my body to the tower. As for watching me die, that is true. I did die." He turned to her, releasing the clasps of his tunic, opening it up and pulling part of the silver undershirt down to reveal the new mark around his heart. It seemed to contrast with the others. "Death is but a barrier that is easily over come." He fastened his tunic back up, turning from her once more.

"I live." He said arms folding behind him as he entered his office.

Katerrina was stunned. And not from hitting the marble floor. She'd watched as Master Travanix died before her eyes. She'd felt his life force slip away. Yet here he was. But, was it really him? Her eyes told her the man was far too young to be her Master. She closed her eyes and reached through the Force, but it didn't help. The Force was murky around him.

She watched as he undid his tunic and showed her the place where the Elder stabbed him. The wounds matched what she'd seen. She knew if he turned around, he'd have a matching scar on his back. But why was he so young? He didn't seem any older than her now.

Katerrina watched as he stepped into his office. She stared after him for a long while, trying to piece everything together in her mind. Master Travanix was alive. She looked around for her saber and it flew into her hand, and she re-attached it to her belt. Her Master was alive. She turned and went back to her room to heal herself. He lived.

Commotion. Another disturbance in the household. The girls were abuzz with the news of the Lord's return. Lani allowed herself a momentary smile before shushing them and moving towards the office.

No surprise to find the Lord's pet project at the center of the disturbance. The girl lacked any sense of propriety.

The Lord's appearance however gave her a moments pause. He looked... different. Moving forward quickly so that no one could see her expression she move to kneel at his side whispering softly, "Welcome home My Lord."

The sound of lani's voice was a welcomed response. He turned to face her. The youthful features of the seventeen year old was no doubt odd to her. However, the girl obviously knew it was him without a doubt. The auburn eyes watched her.

"First order of business is to order a weeks worth of uniforms for me...in this size." Some of the words caused his jaw to clench, and his fist to pound into the desk.

He walked around his desk, and sat down. Things appeared a bit bigger from him in this perspective. "You will attend to the girls and make sure they are all aware of my condition, and that they need not worry - It is me."

He reached down and began to fiddle with the controls of the chair. It was annoying to be this young, this foolish. "I will need a new regiment for eating, so I can put on some blasted bulk. As well as clear four hours a day from my schedule so I can concentrate on my workouts and training."

Several days had gone passed. He stood in the center of the training arena dressed in his training attire, slightly modified. His features were heard, his heart pounding in his chest relentlessly. Several of the droids that had been programmed were slag, completely un repairable. There was a crack in the ground from where he had slammed one of the droids down without mercy. The hilt of his saber was resting in one hand, the other hand knotted into a fist.

He shook his head, hands against his temples once more as he dropped to one knee, the breathing heavy and hard as he tried to release the pain in building in his skull. The sharp pains were building, getting worse and lasting longer. He shook his head once more as it was fading. Even with the aid of the Force, they were knocking him around.

He dropped his hands to his side and hit the ignite switch on his saber hilt before he charged towards the last droid.

The changes had not gone unnoticed about the tower. There was speculation among the girls that dire things were in the works. Lani was quick to silence and punish any who expressed this opinion telling them it was not their place to gossip about the Lord's affairs. Their only duty was to serve him swiftly and silently. If they failed in that duty, they knew the consequences.

Despite her ever firm stand with the girls, Lani worried. Ever the mouse, watchful and quiet, she observed his daily practices. Notes were made and filed away in the confines of her mind. Only time would ease the worries. And Lani had nothing but time.
