(Continued from Corruption - Dimming of the Light)

The chaos rolled all around her as she followed the the calling with her mind. She was almost wooden in her movements. Her heart had been ripped apart by his leaving her. Everything she knew, that she loved was gone in a heartbeat.

The Miralukan strode towards the inn where the calling seemed to be the strongest. That voice within her insidious and seductive. She would be welcomed here, she would have a place.

In the chaos, several watchmen tried to halt her progress. It was not safe with the invasion taking place. She needed to get to shelter.

They were soon found dead. Any wound cauterized and bloodless. Each death made that voice stronger, promising much to the woman in terms of power. She did not want power, what she wanted had walked away from her. She would not ask for anything. Those sightless eyes seemed to burn with a madness, rage... Grief.

Grief was the single part of her old self that remained... Yet even that was quickly being buried under the euphoria with each death. Her destination was clear.

The ribbon had done it's job...

Even with his own eyes closed, he could sense her, sense her anger, her distrust - her rage. She was not all that different from when Katerrina had come to him. Walked right into the Inn and dared him. He could not help but to chuckle at the thought of the past.

But this one, this one was diffrent. Corruption ate at her, the ribbon bonded with her. She would eventually shake the effects, but the dark side alone would have foot hold upon her. He opened his eyes as an officer reported that more troops were pouring into the city from the outskirts. The transports were landing every few minutes to make sure there were plenty of backup for those areas meeting resistance. A new round of orbital strikes were ordered up.

He turned on his heel to look at the other buildings around the Inn to watch them burn. He released his control and allowed the Dark Side to flow through him - she would find him welcoming.

A tiny part of her rebelled. The part that wanted nothing more than to run after Culpos. The part that wept at the death of her mentor and the destruction of her home. Yet she had made her choices or so she believed. In reality they had been taken from her by one man and not the one she thought.

Another vicious cut to a defender, another chain on that part of her soul. The darkness rolled through her, corrupting her further. Sightless eyes and the force guided her to him.

A negligent flick of the wrist had those doors opening before her. Where before she would have cringed from the touch of darkness, she welcomed it. She had nothing left.

She recognized him from that night at the Stars End when she had wrapped herself close to Culpos' darkness. To her corrupted mind, she was trading one darkness for another. That she was welcomed called out to her bleeding heart.

The light saber in her hand was extinguished and her head bowed. She had nothing left to lose now...

"(vq) My lord, " was all the Miralukan said.

The main hall was alive with celebration and debauchery. Men and women who had thrown thier support to Travail were revealing in the success of the invasion. He had hit hard and fast. So fast in fact that some that were away were just now hearing of the events of destruction. He had stepped away from the command chamber long enough to get a dring and check in with the girl nori regarding Inn business.

He turned his head from nori when he felt her close and heard her speak. "Well, I am impressed," he chuckled. "I was wondering when you would make it here." He moved towards her, folding his arms behind him. "what have you come here for? Have you decided to try to kill me or...have you decided to join me?" He offered a dark smirk as he spoke.

Those sightless socket tilted up to regard the Sith lord as she pondered the question. Part of her had the urge to ignite the saber and strike at him. Success was another story.

She knew better on many levels. Yet, where else could she go? Even the vibe, as dark as it was ... was inviting to her.

In the end there was only one choice. Even as part of her screamed in denial...

"Join."

"Join."

Such a simple wording. It caused a dark lughter to erupt from his throat. "Can you feel it? Feel the darkness penetrate you, empower you. Show you beyond the simplicity that the Jedi kept vowing to." He shook his head. "Tell me, have you killed anyone you cared for out of rage, out of anger? Did you feel the true power of the Force course through you when you did it?"

He moved closer to her, the dark chill in the air was dancing all around her. "And...did you like it..."

She shuddered, but she couldn't deny his words any. The ribbon's seductive purring in her mind intensified the rage and the blood lust she had felt.

"(vq) Yes..."

He moved in and that chill crept through her. "And...did you like it..."

Part of her screamed in denial again. It screamed for Culpos and yet she could not give voice to that side of her.

"Yes."

It hadn't been hard to follow the trail.

Not just the feel of the Dark side.

The bodies of those that had tried to stop her...to turn her back.

Lightsaber wounds are very distinctive, after all.

Even as the havoc continues around him, a member of the city guard rushes at him, trying to get his attention, asking him if he might be able to help others get to safety.

A moment later the guard is slumped at the foot of a building, his flesh blackened from electric burns, the smell of burnt flesh and hair wafting through the air.

If anyone else had been watching, it would be sufficient motivation to let him go on his way.

Perhaps they see, and perhaps they do not. either way, he passes the rest of the way to his destination unmolested.

With each step, the eyes taking on their crimson tint. Anger growing in him, at the thought of what he has lost...all thanks to the man that has a chill around him like a cloak.

he doesn't even attempt to hide his approach to the tower, and as he nears, a pair of guards - obviously there to prevent any unauthorized entrance - attempt to stop him.

The first is picked up and bodily hurled against the stone wall as though he had been hit by a wrecking ball, the impact forceful enough that the man's bones snap like so many dry twigs. The other comes in drawing his weapon, only to meet the blazing violet blade of Culpos' lightsaber as it slices him neatly in half longways.

There is no thought of mercy...just as there had been no thought of it so long ago.

He can feel darkness here, and a chill he is already familiar with.

And he enters the Chained Inn, rage and death in his eyes.

He chuckled darkly. "Well well, what do we have here? A jealous boyfriend? Not very Jedi of you, my dear." He stepped around the blind Jedi, the great hall becoming quiet as all eyes fall on the interloper. "I must say, I thought it would have been you that she would have slaughtered. Or that you would have slaughtered her. Instead, you walk into my establishment intent on taking back the corrupted woman that you have desired. More importantly, you heard the call of the Dark Side."

He moved towards the young man as he chuckled. "Such a waste, really. Such potential in you, I see. Such power and anger." A nearby artillery explosion was heard, it started the laughter of the patrons once more. "Perhaps you want to take her back with you. But..." He smirked darkly, he looking back to the girl, then back to her lover. "...Perhaps she does not wish to go back with you. What will you do then?"

He gives no response. No words, no warnings, no threats.

In his mind he's seeing all he lost the first time he fell. The deaths of those he loved, those he had swarn to protect.

And failed.

Before him he sees another person who has done just that.

The eyes before had been brown. Tinted with crimson, but still idetnifiably brown.

As the dark figure near Savria reveals himself, and begins talking, the siren song of the Dark side, that has been crying out to him since he lost his sister, his niece and nephews, his love, reaches a fever pitch.

And the eyes regain that completely crimson cast once more as hatred fills him.

That rage gets focused as he reaches a hand out to the man and lets out a yell of rage, and from his hand, brilliant blue-white bolts of lightning erupt.

Something deep within her stirs with Travanix?s taunts.

Jealous?

? No, he was never jealous. While protective of her because of her lack of physical sight, she knew he was never jealous. Then again, she never gave him cause to be either.

She gripped her head as the voices warred within her.

He tainted you?

? No, this is not his darkness. For some reason, even with his darkness, she knew she was safe.

You have changed, he could never love you as you are now?

? Yet, he was here and fighting for her now.

He never trusted you to tell you the truth about himself and his past...

... No, It was a subject too painful. They never had a chance to talk about it, truly.

You killed your master?

? There was really no defense to that. She did kill the woman that practically raised her.

It is your fault he has fallen again. All of this is your fault?

There was a soft moan as she gripped her head tighter. The whispers of guilt and anguish threatened to overwhelm her.

She reflexively recoiled from the lightning strike and wanted to scream at seeing what her actions have caused. The Ribbon played on that guilt, her anguish. She had thrown her lot in with the Sith Lord and yet, Culpos had followed her. Seeing all that happened because of her actions ripped her apart.

She had lost the light, and thought she lost everything. Yet, the most important thing to her, was here?

She reached out to him, ?Culpos!?

Unlike a fall, he had given in to the power that resinated within the Dark Side. Lightning - an old power: Used with rage and hatred. Those consumed with these traits could wield it without mercy, without care - Just as this fallen did. He smirked as his hand raised up, gathering the deadly energy blast, his other hand resting behind him. "Poor fool, while you tap the darkness within you, you do not feel it, you do not let it consume you. You are weaker than when you were Jedi. Fear not though, I will not let you reside within that weakness for long."

The lightning was redirect back to its owner as Travanix brought to bare his other hand from behind him, pointed directly at the interloper. The lightning jumped from the hand catching, to the newly extended hand and allowed it to flow directly back to its owner.

His own auburn eyes began to glow a blood red. The inn's occupants began laughing, pointing that someone had come in and actually dared to attack the Dark Warrior - In his own establishment. They had seen it before. The last one that did it fell, and became his apprentice, his assassin.

He doesn't really hear her cry for him, save with some distant part of his soul, a man that had once been named Jorre Olatl. But that part is a small thing by comparison to the rage and hatred that are singing to his soul now.

The Force calls out to him of the danger a split second before the dark lord before him raises his hand and sends the lightning back to its source, but it's just enough time to bring the amethystine lightsaber blade up to catch the lightning. Pain jolts through him as part of that strike arcs and makes contact with his muscles.

Truly, rage and hatred are powerful allies...but they tend to be unfocused, wildly unpredictable allies at best. Leaning on them too heavily tends to be the death of most fallen Force adepts, their own emotions leading them to their own defeat in one fashion or another.

Ah, but pain.

Pain is fuel for him, too. It allows him to focus. It gives him a target to take it all out on.

He draws on that pain rather than using the Force to push it away. Those crimson eyes focus on Travanix, narrowing to deadly triangles, and quite suddenly the rending screech of steel being stretched and torn fills the room as one of the doors is telekinetically ripped from its hinges and is flung right at Travanix with lethal force. those not fast enough to get out of its way are pummeled mercilessly by the heavy slab rocketing across the room.

Given that she is right next to Travanix, she is quick to act. She pulled upon one of her force abilities as her saber snapped to life...

... The Shatterpoint.

She focused on the weak points of the door that was flying towards them and exerted her will on it. The door seemingly shattered into tiny fragments as it flew towards them. Those fragments flew around them as her rage strengthened Telekinesis shoved them to the side.

She did not have eyes to show the change in her. Yet, if he was so far gone to throw so much power in her direction, she would defend herself.

"Culpos, stop this." She called out with her saber in her hand. He had remarked on more than one occasion that he knew she could take care of herself.

... The ribbon goaded her on to prove it.

The door shattering really was not that much of a surprise, considering the girl right behind him. She was his now. The black ribbon's siren call was beautiful to the right ears, the right mind.

And right now, she was in the place she needed to be. He could only laugh ruthlessly as he watched the soon to be attacker. But the girl was already on guard. Her saber came alive with its snap-hiss. As the lightning ceased, Travanix pulled his arms behind him, regarding the boy.

"You have no idea what you are dealing with. More importantly..." Travanix shook his head slowly, the dark glowing red of his eyes returned to the unnatural auburn: "You. Cannot. Stop. Me."

The crimson eyes widen as Savria steps into the fight, guarding the man.

Once again, the pain wells. Not in his body, now, but in his heart. Here she is, not only fallen, but guarding the man that had been the cause of all this.

As one would guard their Master.

"You...stand with him...?"

Those words are no sooner spoken than the pain, this time all the more potent, focuses his rage. The dark side adept he had killed all those years ago had had such an apprentice of her own, and for just a moment that vision flashes across his vision.

Travanix' voice brings him back to the here and now, and as the words register, Culpos begins to laugh as he stalks closer. "You think I want to stop you?" that laugh softens to a chuckle as he speaks, shaking his head. "I could care less about stopping you. I just want to kill you. This planet, what you're doing to it...this place needs a good shakedown."

He steps in closer, his lightsaber up and tracking as he begins to circle Savria. "And you. You don't have to stand in my way."

The boy circled him and his new defender. "Well well. Completely unhinged now, are you?" He chuckled. "You really have no idea the game that you've stepped into. You lack true understanding. You come here saving the girl of your dreams. Now, she is the girl of your nightmares. She has fallen, willingly, totally. Seduced by the echo of that which you have ignored, tried to shake off." He shook his head sadly. "You, my little lost one, are truly pathetic."

He didn't move, he didn't need to. This was no contest, just as an earlier encounter had been. And that was a trained Jedi that faced off against him, and now she calls him 'Master'. "Do you even know who I am? What my strengths are? How I came to be? Or the most important question: What I am capable of?" He laughed darkly. "I corrupt Jedi for entertainment, my dear boy! I have brought thousands of worlds to their knees for the Emperor. I have enslaved thousands of people personally, breaking their wills so they are nothing left but shells that are wholly devoted to me."

He couldn't help it, but to laugh harder, the patrons of the inn laughing with him. "And you, a pathetic little half-wit want to be thinks that there is a modicum of a chance that you can even lay a blade against my flesh." He shook his head slowly. "Run, while you still have legs to run with, boy. You think you understand the Dark Side, or the darkness that is within you. That the rage that you feel is something special. It is not."

There came a chilling darkness in his own voice as the air around him swirlled and became even colder, even darker as if it became a living extension of his will. "You are nothing to the Dark Side."

Savriana

She can feel the pain welling within him with her empathy.

"You...stand with him...?"

She feels her own pain, her own broken heart. She he then feels him gathering the pain and focusing the Dark side with it. She can feel nothing but outrage at his words and laughter.

"You think I want to stop you?" That laugh softens to a chuckle as he speaks, shaking his head. "I could care less about stopping you. I just want to kill you. This planet, what you're doing to it...this place needs a good shakedown."

She begins circling him as he brings up his saber. There was a bit of a smirk as she listens to his words.

"And you. You don't have to stand in my way."

"You already forget, Culpos. You chose to leave. I killed my mentor to protect you and you walked away from me." There was a world of pain at that and she did not disguise it in her voice. That pain fueled her own descent even more surely than the ribbon. "You do not realize that where I was standing, you attacked me, lover." Her free hand gestured to the now shattered door.

Her own saber was in position as Travanix spoke.

"Well well. Completely unhinged now, are you?" He chuckled. "You really have no idea the game that you've stepped into. You lack true understanding. You come here saving the girl of your dreams. Now, she is the girl of your nightmares. She has fallen, willingly, totally. Seduced by the echo of that which you have ignored, tried to shake off. You, my little lost one, are truly pathetic."

The laughter of the others ring in her ears. She does not join them however. She is watching him as he circles, her moved matching and mirroring him as the force precognition kicked in. Her telekenetics may never have been strong, but her Psionics where highly developed.

It is not."

The air started growing colder as Travanix spoke again. "You are nothing to the Dark Side."

She is pondering and weighing her counters carefully. There was a bit of a purr in her voice as she added, "And you, You don't have to stand in my way. You walked around from me, but I can forgive that."

There was a hint of the woman she was once as the smile softened. "(vq) Join me, love." She was attempting a different track with him.
