It was time.
Kain had been quiet lately, keeping a low profile. In point of fact, he hadn't been seen by most of the city's citizens in almost a month. What he had been doing in that time was anyone's guess.
Still, it was time to become active again, to roam and explore and more importantly, it was time to begin spreading chaos and suffering among the inhabitants of Rhydin. It was time to show them pain.

To that end Kain had decided that he would actually need allies. Kusumura had been an experiment. Pushing the man to the hunger Kain knew was trapped just below the man's surface had been entertaining, but it was too limited. Kain needed far more than what Kusumura was capable of.
Coming back to the present, Kain looked at the unassuming building bearing the sign 'The Chained Inn'. Romax Pol had made the invitation, and Kain had made use of it twice before, purchasing several raw and untrained slaves from the Sith. Now however it was time to meet the other partner in this establishment, this Lord Travanix.

Pushing open the doors and stepping inside, cloak held close to his body, Kain looked out from under the hood as one of the girls automaticly came to see to his needs.
"What can I do for you sir?"
Kain looked the woman over for barely a moment. No, this one was too weak and broken to satisfy Kain's desires. She would scream, but only because it would be expected of her to do so. No, Kain needed someone still unbroken, who would scream in true pain and terror.
Finally, his internal musings set aside, Kain gives the girl a small smile as he reaches up to pull the hood down. The lattice of seemingly still recent scarring turning his once handsome face into a near patchwork. "Yes, would you please tell Lord Travanix that a business associate of Romax Pol's would like to speak with him. Assuming Lord Travanix has time of course. If he asks, you may tell him that Kain Starsong wishes to do business here.
Kain didn't know or care if Travanix actually knew his name or not, but hopefully the Sith would be willing to meet.

nori's red hair bobbed as she then offered a smile to the visitor. Her smile could disarming, which was why she was selected in the first place. She motioned the guest in. Her voice was gentle and respectful. "I will inform my master that you wish his audiance. While you are waiting, may I get you anything to eat or drink?" She lead him to the only booth in the inn. It was not decortated, but it was comfortable. It rested outside what appeared to be a private office.

She awaited for him to slide in. "We offere many drinks and foods. Also, it the wait is long, the facilities of the rooms will be made available, and your choice of Tavern Toy. Today's special is wild turkey, basted over several hours with many juices and spices. Drinks range from local ale to imported fine wines and chards. How may I serve you?"

Kain looked over the well prepared slave woman. Travanix's tastes were obvious in both her appearance and manner. Kain couldn't fault the Sith Lord for his methods of training, it certain was effective in producing willing and subservient slaves. However Kain's own interests lied elsewhere.

Brought back to the moment by the slave's question, Kain smiled coldly and nodded, "I'll try the special, as for drink, bring a bottle of red wine and a glass. And do try to find a good vintage. Hopefully Lord Travanix won't keep me waiting *too* long."

Kain reached up and unclipped his cloak, resting this across the back of the booth as he slid into his seat, settling the harness of swords to his sides, getting comfortable to wait for Travanix.

It wasn't long after his food and drink was delivered that the black uniformed figure exited his office. He stepped around the corner, running his fingertips over the edge of the table before he settled down across from Kain. "Welcome to the Chainned Inn, Kain. I am Travanix." A dark chill seemed to permiate the air, swirling around slowly.

"I hope that my pets took care of you." He said, looking over the food that had been delivered. Without a word from him however, another girl delivered a silver mug containing a black fluid. "What can I do for you today, Kain." He offered a gentleman's smile.

When the tasks were not so many as to cause her attention to remain wholly on fetching drinks and cleaning the bar area, Anya had time to silently observe the various goings on within the inn that had been her employ for longer than she could remember. This did not speak of extended time but simply that the origins of her employment had slipped into the misty nether beyond 'yesterday'. The slight framed bartender carefully set the last of the clean mugs into their place, a moss-eyed glance briefly following Nori as she tended to the man with food and drink. Anya couldn't say she'd ever really gotten used to the 'uniform' she had to wear, but at least she was mostly hidden behind the bar.

She'd seen many an individual come and go. She couldn't say how many and she couldn't even say who even if she met them on the street at some later date. Faces and names all swam together for her. Of those who came seeking audience, some got the attention of the cold one; others did not. Her gaze flicked toward movement, head canting to the side slightly when she noted his arrival. There were a number of things about him that had also fled to the misty oubliette of her consciousness but she did know that he was the owner of the establishment and the one who paid her. For some reason it was utterly important to her that she remember he paid her. Her attention flicked over the two men briefly then turned to Nori once more.

It was not a bartenders job to speak usually, and Anya was rather good at keeping quiet while delivering requested drinks. However, if something else was needed by the owner or the man he was currently entertaining, she would be sure to have drink or food ready. After all, prompt and competent service occasionally earned tips.

The girl behind the bar was noted as he settled down to enjoy the conversation with Kain. The inn was quiet, for the time being. nori would see to it that the girl would remain busy and if trouble would arise, take care of her.

He leaned back in the booth, taking a drink of the black ale that was served in the silver mug. The slave girls that were bound to the stage were carefully and quietly tended to.

Even as Travanix settled into his own seat, Kain was already sampling the food and drink the slave girl had served. Despite his madness, Kain ate with the grace of a born noble, taking a slice of the meat and savoring it for a long moment. Finally a sip of the wine, it too savored. Kain had become a creature of pleasures and impulses, with only a thin shell remaining of the man he had once been.

Finally after everything on his place and in his glass had been sampled, Kain smiled and pushed the tray slightly to the side, far enough that his hands could clasp on the table's surface, but not far enough that Nori could assume he was finished.

"Ahhh Lord Travanix! How kind of you to see me, and so quickly too. To be honest I had half convinced myself that you would be so busy that I would be waiting overnight." Kain's outward expression seemed polite, even jovial, but his eyes told another story. His eyes wove a tale of sarcasm and ridicule, hidden just below the surface. For one trained in the Force, such as Travanix, Kain's emotions boiled like the inner core of a planet, seething and writhing under heat and pressure. In many ways, Kain was much like the Sith themselves, ruled entirely by his rage and hatred for everything around him.

Finally at last there was a brief moment of calm, and Kain's eyes cooled, "Now, as to business. I hadn't the chance to tell you at the Red Dragon, but I am in the market for more... toys, to entertain myself with. In addition, I have a device which you or perhaps your own clients may be interested in purchasing."

Kain paused a moment and smiled, a genuine smile with no derision or sarcasm in it, "Finally, I would like to discuss the possibility of taking part in all this..." Nodding at the Inn, the slaves, and Travanix himself. Let the Sith slaver make what he will of that; Kain would enjoy seeing the reaction all the same, before finally explaining his intentions.
