It was cold, and the smell that plummed in was sweet. There was no light, only the sticky pitch black of darkness wrapped around them.

The two that dangled by cuffs linked to chains reaching up to the rafters were lifted off the ground, their toes, even when stretched to length, could not reach. Gags in their mouths caused a slight amount of salavia to escape their lips, and down their chins.

Any motion used to fight the bindings of the cuffs and chains would only cause them to swing like pendulums. They were dangling long enough that the cuffs were chaffing and cutting into the flesh of their wrists. Their shoulders would be pulled to their extreme.

The sweet smell was more than just to keep the growing stentch of sweat, but to keep them both slightly sedated, lowering their higher mental capacity to keep them from using their powers.

Afterall - he was no fool when it came to either of them.

When Rose first regained consciousness she was apparently in a hopeless situation. In her last few precious moments she had stayed to try and fight. She couldn?t leave AJ. She would know it to be a mistake now. She should have saved herself and the child she carried in those seconds. The child! Her first concern upon waking in her disoriented confusion was to check on the tiny life inside her. The baby she had wanted more than she had wanted anything in her whole life. Once she assured herself that it was fine, the memories came flooding back to her. Falling to the effects of the gas on the street, her last conscious second seeing the figure coming? The thought as she blinked her eyes against furious tears was ?mother!@#$er?s going to pay!?

She calmed herself in that second of outburst, sending a soothing reassuring thought to the little one that could have no idea the danger they were in - only her distress. As the wave of calm washed over her, she put her mind to working on a way out of this situation. Her body had begun working on breaking down the chemical he was using against her with a quickness no mortal being could have accomplished. Her thoughts were clearing.

She knew she couldn?t win here; she had to get out fast. To speed up the process of recovering from the gas she ceased her intake of air, careful to remember consciously to make her chest to rise and fall as though she had not stopped. One thing she was not was human, and she didn?t need to breathe ? it was a bad left over habit from when she did. Her control of her body was excellent; she knew how to cause the body to release chemicals and hormones to all sorts of effects. She helped her body?s natural processes along by hitting them with adrenaline and speeding up her liver functions to help break down the toxins faster. She did all this in a matter of seconds on survival instinct, knowing if she hesitated again it could be her last mistake.

A horrible fear for her friend at the back of her mind, the one she had refused to leave almost at the cost of her own life and that of the one she now carried inside her. The fear could have made her hesitate, but she wouldn?t make the same mistake twice. She knew she couldn?t help AJ; this guy was good ? too good. He was clever and incredibly powerful. She had to save herself in this desperate effort driving through sheer force of will and maternal instincts. Using the awesome powers that she was blessed to possess, she teleported out of there. Disappearing not just to another location, but to a galaxy far, far away. This time she would be sure to be beyond his reach.

As she hung there her head was rolled back as she stared up into the darkness above her. Her eyes were half closed as she tried to wake up completly to try and do something to break out of these chains. Her wrists were bleeding and stung now from trying to wriggle free out of sheer mortal panic. She had several attempts to try and get free.

She thought of Rose... and that baby, the one that she wanted more than anything and immedietly her heart sank to her feet. Her throat was sore from screaming earlier but she had already given up hope that no one was going to hear her...

Who brought her to this hell? She surely didn't know for she was unconcious when he picked up her limp body and carried her away. She was more afraid now than she had ever been in her life.

Her thoughts... though very disoriented stayed on Phillipe... she missed him and wanted him to come and free her from this place... but she knew she didn't want him to face who brought her here. Whoever it was seemed to really knew what they were doing by sedating her.

She sobbed.. did he think she was still alive? She used what little power she could use to send Phillipe a message reassuring him that she was alive but in distress. Did it work? Who knows... But sending mental imaging and distress calls took very little energy...and that was exactly what she had at this point.

The stench of sweat began to fill her nose and she was instantly disgusted by it, but her mind didn't stay on that for long before it went right back to the pain in her arms... They felt as if they were being ripped from their sockets and her wrists stung still...

The other one had escaped. Not something he was proud of, not something he was going to let happen again. His plans were in motion for a reason, one silly girl was not going to stop it, not going to derail it.

The sweet smell permiated the room heavier, releasing its disguised toxins into the room faster. After only a few moments, the girl was again oblivious to the existing world around her.

It took only a few short hours, but she was relocated to another facility, somewhere else. Regardless of what the escaped one would say, he was not ready to give up his plans so easily.

And no one was going to find out the girl's whereabouts anytime soon.
