?They keep coming in, what the hell happened out there!??

?Hey! Be lucky this is minor stuff, man! We got this, just triage and go!?

?Cuts and scrapes on my end, some sprains too. They?re moving through pretty fast, we?re using the back yard area for recovery and release!?

The controlled chaos went well?accordingly would be a good way to put it. Thanks to the Marketplace clinic staff on hand, not to mention the ladies and gents of the local Watch that were currently under the commander of one rather capable Sgt. Alex Waterman.

Loss of life was rather nil, we as far as the collateral damages went. Actually, it was at zero completely. Now as far as loss of life in regards to those directly involved in the marketplace incident that caused all of these people to fill the marketplace clinic, well that was at a smallish seven.

That small number of fallen, was solely due to the quick intervention of some very quick acting heroes of the city, coupled with the professional response of the 27th Division of the Rhy'Din Watch, again under the command of Sgt. Waterman.

It was a fact that was hardly lost to one mess of a Brian Ravenlock, as he sat on a table watching the controlled chaos, while a pair of clinic staff began to look him over.

?I got two GSWs he----?

?It's alright, they passed--?

?Well, we don't know that do we? Can someone get 'Maggie' here please? We don't have time for X-rays.?

?I'm not getting out of this, am I??

?Considering you were brought in my Alex's men and along with my paperwork, you're lucky you're not strapped down currently. I mean really, Mr. Ravenlock, an active shooting in the marketplace? Weren't you the one--?

?The irony is hardly lost on me, if you really mus-- SH*T what was THAT!??

?Off with what's left of that shirt, and that was your ribs and it looks like you took some other hits to your back too. Luckily you had a vest on, yeah? Wonder how they managed it off you, with keeping that shirt intact. Anyways, since you felt that like you did, we definitely need to get a better look at you.?

?I had no armor on, ?said a rather vexed Brian who complied and listed his arms as best as he could, while a staff member began to cut the shirt from him.

?Then you're one lucky man, ? replied the supervisor as he nodded to a young woman who walked up to the table. ?This is 'Maggie' and she's going to look you over for anything inside you, that may have been left projectile wise. Don't ask how, she's just gifted like that. So lay back for us, this will be over quickly.?

?Alright, I?ll bite,? said the man, as he laid back and waited to see what exactly would happen. Truth be told, he felt the rounds pass through him and that coupled with the runic barrier, allowed him to sustain what he would define as minimal damage, despite the fact it did hurt like hell.

The runic barrier--- that was something that did in fact concern him far more than the wounds he had sustained during the attack in the marketplace. It wasn?t the fact that he managed to utilize the frost rune, it was the manner in which he had used the given rune and more so-- the magnitude and ferocity of said rune and its power.

He saw the eyes of Alex Waterman, coupled with the expression of the Watchmen around him in the wake of the incident. The two bodies he had left in his trail, as he had fought his way to the vehicle that attackers had used in the marketplace. Well, what was left of one at the very least? Truth be told, what he had left of the body barely resembled anything solid what so ever, and that did bother him so very much.

Because for all the manners in which he, Jacyn, Henrietta and Garet had used the runes for, the use of a frost rune to cause a body to explode had not been a use of note, ever.

Even Jacyn in all his twisted measures, had never done such a thing. Not with frost, mind you--- the rune of blood however was a whole other matter entirely. So yes, Brian was very concerned over his actions during the attack.

Adding to that concern was the fact, that the runes had enveloped him somehow?a coat of runic power, or a barrier if one would. That had never happened before, not even when Brian held some of the other runes. Not since, he had held the artifact that had once been known as ?Darkin?s Gauntlet?, and not since he had fought ?Renna of the Dark?, long before she became ?The Betrayer?.

Then there was the complete lack of awareness, adding the fact that Claire had to snap him back to the present, and more so?Zack had to assist her in getting Brian back to his feet, and even with that it took a bit for the Ravenlock to regain himself.

And he still had no true idea, of what he had done.

?Done, Sir! We?ve two projectiles, upper chest right side just behind the pectoral. Fragment embedded in a laceration on the right side rib cage, touching a string of nerves mind you. Artificial left knee and a plate along the right femur and an artificial left ha??

?I get it, you win.?

?Ah, um?sorry about that, it?s part of my gift, magnetic and what not. Anyways I can get the fragment and projectiles for you. We?ll just numb you up and take care---?

?No need to, let?s just---?

?Oh my bad, guess we got poke happy there. Well, let?s get this underway, yeah? Flip him over?carefully, okay there! You can come out Captain Al?Tuatha.?

?Good job there, kid. Thought for sure he was gonna see me back here. We?ll do watcha gotta do, and let?s get him up and outta here. Sides his woman?s gonna be pissed enough when she catches wind of this. Damn he got knocked the f*ck out pretty fast, huh? That?s so gangster!?

?Well, this won?t take long and recovery will be short. He was very lucky, actually.?

?Yeah, we?ll see how long that luck lasts with him pushin? it the way he does. Anyways, ima check on the rest of the peeps, and then my guys too. I?ll be back soon, and not a word to anyone else, dig? He?s in and out all secret squirrel like.?

?Of course, Captain!?
