Unkindness : Happenings in the Ravenlock Home!

This is a little place to post day to day things that happen to occurred in or around ?Unkindness?.

Unkindness is that little place that Bri & Jen happen to reside in, along with their children and a few others here and there, down in the Marketplace District of Rhy?Din.
Now a few things, if I may.

Only the following family members have direct unrestricted access to Unkindness:

Brian, Jenai, Aleyah, Kerri, Dominick, Storm, Nathressa, Elena-Isuelt, Yotsuba (others can and will be added).

Any other family members would have to be allowed inside personally, this is the same for close friends and what not. There are specific Wards in place that will keep this as such, protecting the building itself. This is no different for anyone who isn?t family, any violation of this will be met with swift and rather righteous counter measures.

So in short, you can?t post anything that occurred inside Unkindness, unless you are one of the listed above, or allowed inside (your post being limited to whatever you did at ?that? particular time).

However, posting things occurring in the front ?yard? area of the location is alright, as that is a publicly accessible area that borders the street.

Thanks!

Those waking up inside the home would be met with the rather distinct and pleasing scent of freshly baked cinnamon buns and coffee.

And if they happened to follow said scent, they'd end up inside the kitchen, where a rather large platter of the baked goodness awaited them, accompanied by a fresh pot of coffee for one 'Red Headed Beastie', who may be or may not have been sleeping in a bit, since it's Saturday (or Caturday).

Also, when that 'Red Headed Beastie' woke up, she'd find an azure blue long stemmed rose, settled on the pillow next to her along with a note attached.

"Left a little early to the 27th, see you soon sweet cheeks! ~ Me"

"Hey, check this out!

Anyone happening to pass by our house in the Marketplace, make sure to pay your respects!

Cause we got a Memorial for Fallen Snow People, out front in our yard.

That's right, I said a Memorial.

Cause every year we lose good snow people to all sorts o' junk way before their twilight... er twi-winter time. And I mean c'mon folks! It's not like they really have THAT long to live, right!?

We lose em to yard work, vandals, heat, hungry snow cone lovers, yellow snow makers and more!

So come on by and pay your respects, just in case they decide to rise up next year and commit to a take over of the city... Hey! It could happen folks! Maybe if you pay your respects, they'll pass you up when it comes to that possible take over. Better safe than sorry!"

Well folks, that as they say was that. As Aleyah stated, there was in fact what looked to be a rather large memorial stone made of snow, riddled with intricate carvings. At the foot of this monument were several flowers and old Yule Decorations along with some garland.

Surrounding the monument were several snowmen and women, some saluting, some with their heads bowed in respect.

It was an early morning for Yotsuba, who quickly went to work in the kitchen before anyone else could wake.

The result of which was an impressive breakfast that was waiting for the rest of the family.

There were several japanese styled omelettes, stacked like 'jenga' towers with plastic tooth pick antenna on top of each.

Between the towers one would find several pork cutlets shaped like dinosaurs, which were kept upright somehow.

This was all on a bed of rice that was green in color, and for effect there were several small cubes of cheese, cut in the shape of damaged vehicles.

Just next to the green bed of rice, was a strip of yellow rice and then a bed of blue rice.

On the strip of yellow were some small umbrellas, and on the blue were several hot dogs shaped to resemble octopi, which looked to be moving from the water to the beach.

Directly aside this scene was a large bowl of freshly cut fruits, along with a bowl of vegtables. Toasted breads and a platter of bacon also were also included.

And to make it official, there were also two fresh pots of coffee, one specifically labled 'Nai-Nai Only'.

Knowing it wouldn't be long before everyone caught on to what wa waiting, Yotsuba scribbled a short note and attached it to the top of one of the buildings.

"Thank the twins for this, they gave me the idea. Enjoy and see you later, Tsuba <3"

There was a new arrival for the Ravenlock kitchen, one that stood out quite easily, no less.

It was a toaster oven...

A dual-plated, stainless steel alloyed toaster oven...

A dual-plated, stainless steel alloyed toaster oven, that card runic etchings that had been carved into it...

A dual-plated, stain-- aw hell, you get the idea right?

Anyways, this bad boy was impressive. It was thick plated, and had an insulated handle for the door. The viewing window, actually had a tint option, and there was even a pull out circuit breaking cord for safety, yo.

A manual could be found next to it, explain some of the features. Upon close inspection, one may find small print that reads the following.

'Intensively stressed and tested to equal and or possibly surpass rigorous handling by the following individuals - Tara, Jenai, Renna, Taneth'

Where this most impressive device had come from was unknown, save to the man who had it commissioned, one Brian Ravenlock.

In any event, he was sure it would be put to the test-- the real question would be, 'Would it begin with a poptart, or would they find something else more sinister?'

Complaints have been floating around the marketplace, in regards to citizens being struck with what looked to be Styrofoam arrows, with suction cup tips.

The culprit(s), were rarely seen in each of the incidents, however during one rare moment, a citizen described two culprits that were clad in red and had white wings. One however had little 'horns'.

Most of the incidents seemed to be occurring on the north end of the marketplace, and in the one rare incident where the culprits were seen, they fled on foot and were lost in the area of 'Unkindness'.

Luckily no one was harmed...

By sheer coincidence, a certain pair of red headed girls were grounded.

If one were to have happened to have passed Unkindness sometime in the late afternoon yesterday they may have come across--- something that would have been a tad suspect.

A smallish market stall set up just outside the main gate to the Ravenlock home. A smallish market stall that was manned by a pair of red headed twins. A smallish market stall that was manned by a pair of red headed twins that were trying to sell some things...

Or someone (s) ?

Well according to the sign on said stall, which stated.

For Sale / Trade :

One little brother, slightly used. Low milage. Well kept. Easy to Store.

One Malaysian Tiger Trap w/ instruction manual (Great to have when the Malaysian Tiger Uprising occurs and it WILL occur....)

Genuine Were-Wolf Anti Itch Cream (Good for people allergic to them)

One Weasel-Chucker 1000 with extended tube barrel, long range scope and padded tongs for loading Weasels. (Buy it now and get a bandolier that can hold 6 additional weasels to chuck!)

The stall was quickly shut down and thankfully, no one had purchased anything, so there were no refunds due.

However, the twin-tastic vendoristas were made to stand in front of Unkindness while holding a sign that stated,

"I will not try to sell my brother or advocate weasel chucking, ever again. Also there is no Malaysian Tiger Uprising."

Over the course of last evening, seven large floating paper lanterns could be seen floating above Unkindness. They looked to have been bound somehow, shifting with the wind as it came and went. A short time later, they were seemingly released, as they then took to the sky, until they could no longer be seen.

The following morning, seven banners of black were hung from poles that angled off the Ravenlock family's roof, allowing each to sway in front of the building.

They would remain throughout the day.
