Standing on the side of the streets she watched the tall figure of her brother as he paced back and forth like a caged tiger. It always did make her nervous when he stalked around like that, like he was waiting for a pending attack.
"T..Torrin," she stated weakly.
"Shh!" he quickly returned as he turned to her, chocolate orbs burning a hole into her. She shuddered at the cold look and shrank away from him. She heard him sigh as he approached her, his fingers clenching down into her shoulders, causing the forestal cloak to cluster under his palm.
"I'm sorry to do this Sera, but this is for your own good. With the crimson knights looking for you, staying in Hearthstone would be dangerous. I have set up a place for you to stay here and you can even start your own business. And this isn't much but it should get you by for now." His hands slowly began to slide down her arms as he spoke until they came to her hands, depositing a small bag of gold into her palms.
Tears started to work down her cheeks as he drew away from her. "B..But..I don't know anything about these lands and I don't know anyone! Are you really going to leave me here all alone?"
"I'm sorry. It's the only way to keep you safe." His voice grew dim as he stepped back, his body shifting from the current planar to the next, attempting to leave a trail in case he was followed by the enemy.
"Noo! Torrin don't leave me!" Body pushing forward she reached out to grasp her brother only to find that he had faded completely away, her hand slipping through the faint image of where he once stood. Sobbing she stared at the spot. She knew it was important she hadn't been caught but still. To leave her so alone. She hated that familiar feeling.
Her eyes lowered to the pouch that had been shoved into her hands, a note with an address on it. The place he spoke of, she figured. With a heavy heart she made her way down the street, questioning once in a while in attempt to find the correct street. It was amazing how unfriendly many on the street were. Most ignored her, others just shrugged her off, and the ones that did 'help' her just pointed her off to ask someone else. It took nearly took two hours in order to find the shop and as she came to the petite shop her violet touched blue gaze lifts to observe the small, two story plaster and stone building looked as if it had seen better days. With a sigh she unlocked the door and slipped inside.
A warm setting welcomed her, bolts of clothing and all sorts of other odds and ends awaited for her touch to craft them into new life. The door was close and she leaned back onto the surface. Eyes closed and a sigh sounded.
Was this to be her life? To be alone? A lonely seamstress?
Her eyes shot open and she gave a nod. No. She would not let the depression get her down! She would be patient and wait . She would wait and smile for him when her brother returned for her.
