Darcy was excited. Way too excited to be playing Pachinko. But Nick was a dear friend and she had never played. The date was set! Their pockets full of money! Off they went! Wearing the crochet red beanie enchanted with luck and bestowed upon her by the wonderful Des she felt like they couldn't lose! Also, she gave her word to Nick that they were going to come out richer than before and she intended on keeping it.
Arm in arm with Nick they entered the establishment. The excitable buzz in the air was palpable. Darcy was immediately drawn in by the sounds the machines made, the lights, and that lovely cha-ching when the jackpot was hit! Just in those few moments she understood the appeal. Carefully listening she would let Nick explain the mechanics of the game and how it worked. Looking down the rows of the Pachinko machines she'd let Nick lead the way.
Finding a machine for beginners be still her heart there was a Sailor Moon one! Now, for those who didn't know Darcy is a huge Sailor Moon fan. Delighted she sat down at the machine. Observing Nick for a few moments before she inserted some money into it. Giggling excitedly as she pulled the handle and the game had begun! It took a few tries but Darcy soon found her groove. She could see how the lights, sounds, and animations could be quite distracting and cause one to lose their focus. But not her! When she was determined she was focused!
Darcy lost some and she won some. But more importantly she ended up turning a profit. A pretty good profit in fact. Darcy would share in her excitement with Nick and hoped the grumpy zombie detective had as much fun as her! Easily she would lose all sense of time and they probably didn't stop playing until the sun came up the next day. All in all Darcy had a blast and told Nick she would love to do it again sometime! Especially since their pockets were jingling with their winnings! Nick may have introduced Darcy to a new vice not that she was complaining of course!
(Please note this event happened before Nick's disappearance and much thanks to the mun for putting up with Darcy!)
