Emberclaw's Training Trip
Emberclaw had gotten the books he would need for his trip in the Teas'n Tomes after having a talk with Antonio. The books were really just something to keep him entertained. These would include Swordplay At It's Finest, The Herbalism Guide, and Dragons And What To Expect.
Silence was there as he made his way through the glen and into the woods. It was odd, he was so used to hearing some sort of animal. That kept him on his guard. A rustle of branches had him looking only to see nothing. He supposed if someone was going to attack they would wait until he set up camp. He knew that by now he had plenty of enemies due to his open invitations to the vigilante group meeting.
For now his thoughts were on the group. He knew he had said he would be around, but this training was very important. If anyone needed to find him then they would just have to come into the mountains. His destination was wherever he could find a waterfall. The day had just really begin. Only three hours after noon. It would probably take another seven hours to reach his destination.
3 hours later
He had been wrong about when the person would choose to attack. It was only six o' clock and he could hear rustles all around him. It probably meant bandits. Closing his eyes he shifts into his anthro form. Growing to a size of eight feet and having red fur with black streaks grow over him. A fierceness comes into his eyes. Wolf head, human body basically. Except for his hands and feet. They were still all wolf. Sharp claws ready to rip flesh from someone.
A yell went up and two of the bandits jumped out. It was a stupid move and they would soon learn a lesson. Claws of one hand tore into the chest of one of them. The other hand came up to tear at the face. The next moment the other hand was out of the mans chest clutching his heart. Squeezing so hard that there were cracks as the skull broke and caved in. He dropped the lifeless body. The blood was barely visible on his fur.
The other bandit had stopped. Eyes wide with fear. The man turned and ran off into the woods. The sound of more rustling told Emberclaw that the rest had ran off as well. A low growl before he shifted back into his human form. His spiky hair had blood in it. That would need washed later. Same with his clothes. The blood being more visible on them.
A quick search of the bandit had got him a sack of coins and oddly enough, a jeweled ring with a family crest on it. The crest having a falcon on it. Pocketing the ring and using the string on the bag to tie it to a belt loop Emberclaw moved on. He was certain that no other bandits would attack him now.
4 hours later
Emberclaw had arrived at the waterfall. Stripping off the clothes he had on he began to wash them in the small lake at the bottom of the waterfall. Then he got in and began to clean himself. After finishing he went out to get firewood. When he returned he lit a fire and made a makeshift line to put his clothes over the fire to dry. While he waited on his clothes he went out to hunt.
Coming back roughly a half hour later with two snow rabbits he set about skinning them, cleaning them, and finally cooking them over the fire on a couple of sticks he had. Finishing his meal he stretched out on the ground and soon fell asleep.
