Emberclaw had been working late one night. Digesting what Noah had told him. He'd just got outside and was heading down the street when he saw one of the heat shimmers you see when it's very hot out. It was curious because it wasn't that kind of heat today. It wasn't hot enough for that. Slowly he moved over towards it and put his hand out to it. As his hand touched it he felt something move and slowly a portal formed before him. He jumped back and pulled out a pad of paper. He knew he had to go in there and figure out what was going on. With magic he held the paper and pen and wrote a short note on three separate pages. Each was going to a specific Guardian member. One to Chimera, one to Dia, and one to Kruger. They were each signed with Emberclaw's name so they knew who it was from. It explained what had happened and where he had went. Just as he was putting the magic on them and they were flying off for the people he'd signed them to a metallic hand shot out and grabbed his shirt. Dragging him through the portal. He didn't have time to fight it. As he was pulled in he got a glimpse of purple grass and red skies.

The metallic hand had let him go and he jumped back, but the portal was already gone. Before him stood a creature he had never seen before. It was a being that had a humanoid figure formed from metal, but this creature was not a robot or any sort of thing. It was a living, breathing organism. With inhuman speed it lunged forward and attacked Emberclaw. He fell and caught himself on his hands to go into a back hand spring. The creature was already in place to catch his legs and spin him around tossing him into a large boulder. As his head smacked against the rock he felt his eyes slowly closing. So slowly as he watched the creature come forward and lift him up. His last thoughts were. Where is this thing taking me? Then the world went black and all thoughts vanished from his mind.
