Emberclaw was doing his research as usual on the things going on around Rhy'Din. He was searching into this 'Magneto' business with the radio signals and whatever else he could find, but his mind was reeling. He'd been to the docks quite recently and it just didn't seem right. There was a warehouse that had way too much attention. He'd seen so much movement around it and he wanted answers, but he wouldn't go there alone. First he would have to call a meeting. He needed all available members to do this. He lifts his badge and speaks into it the sound going out to all the badges. "Guardians assemble at headquarters as soon as possible." That broadcast done he stands there a moment in one of the research rooms. A map of Rhy'Din was on the wall and several books were on tables and shelves. Comfortable chairs were at each of these tables. Then he remembered Dia. She would be able to get him information needed.

He lifts his badge again, this time the call was only made to Dia. "Dia, I need you to do some research on a warehouse out near the docks. I need this information as soon as possible." Now he was pacing back and forth waiting for Dia's answer. He really just hoped that he was over-thinking this and nothing would turn up with the warehouse, but he knew that wasn't how it would work. He may not have headed The Guardians long, but he knew that trouble was a constant thing in Rhy'Din and he would make sure to try and stop all that he could with or without the rest of his members. Finally he just plopped down in one of the chairs and waited, there was no use wasting his energy pacing when he might soon need it for something much more serious.

::Sitting in her custom chair in the C3 center for the RTS, Dia quickly reply's to Ember.::

Need a bit more info, there are a lot of warehouse out there. Which one, what do you want to know, and how detailed do you want me to get?

If you know what cross streets, or the warehouse's position in relation to significant landmarks, I will be able to work with that.

He sighs and speaks back. "Give me a moment." He had actually updated the badges quite recently. "Take off your badge real quick." He had given them the ability to project holograms. He turned this on and moved over to the map. "It's right here." He points to a section of the docks to where she would be able to see. "Do you think you could attempt to hack into any computers?" Otherwise he would use the only other option. He would grab a small team and they would have to break in. Considering that it could be something serious he doubted the possibility of being able to hack into the computers. Operations would need to be kept secret which was why The Guardians computers were on a private network to keep all information out of the hands of the enemies. "If you can't get that information I'll need you to come with me to break in. That way you can hack directly into one of the consoles in the warehouse." Despite everything he believed that there had to be a computer within the warehouse.

::Dia removes her badge and sets it on the special surface to one side of her work station. When the hologram function engages, and she sees the map, she taps some keys and focuses a camera on the projected map. With Gaia's help she quickly narrows down the information she needs.::

::After a couple minutes of checking, Dia sends another message to Ember.:: I can't find any connection to any computer or other device inside the warehouse. I might beable to find information on traffic to and from the place from the harbormaster's office and various other sources. But for the truth, we will probably need to find a way to get inside, and find a computer there.

Fallen Wolf

"Damn!" He frowns as he looks about. "That stuff doesn't matter. I want to know whats going on inside." He cuts the link to Dia briefly and moves it to Kruger. "Kruger, I need you. Come as fast as you can." Then he re-opens the link to Dia. "Okay, we're breaking in." He moves over to a desk and looks at some items for the research lab. "The research lab has everything we will need. I'll get you into that building." Probably only because he wanted to know so bad, but that wasn't exactly a bad thing. As soon as they got in there was no completed plan of action. Just get to the computers, hack in, and find out what was going on. The rest of it would be improvisation. He links back to Kruger. "Ready for some fun?" While he's waiting for the answer he makes his way out of the study and down the hall to take an elevator to the research labs. There are all sorts of people there looking through stuff. "Okay team! I need explosives, guns, swords, weapons, whatever. I need them fast for two. I also need something to get through doors easily with little sound. We CANNOT be caught going through the doors."

As soon as the words left his lips the people there were scrambling. "Sir we've got a set of mini-explosives ready for testing." The man looked afraid, but he was determined. "They should have quite a big blast to help with whatever you need them for."

A small smile graced Emberclaw's lips for a moment. "Good. Bring them to me and prepare a vehicle. You can take your time because I have to wait for Kruger." With that he moved back out and straight to one of the training rooms. Here he began to train just some before they were going to go. It helped to keep on the ball when you worked like this. Otherwise this operation could go very bad. That and the fact that the Watch would probably not need alerted of this. It wasn't exactly the way to do things naturally.

Hurmph. :: That is Dia's irritated response to Ember's cutting her of.:: Gaia, could you use the satellites to grab some pics of the warehouse. And see if you can find anything else about the place through the Government and public databases. I am going grab some things from my quarters. Prepare some blank data stores as well.

::With that she jumps up from her chair and runs across the room to the door to her own quarters, where she retrieves her "go to heck" bag, deciding the bigger, more complex, "Go To H*^)l" bag shouldn't be needed for this.::

::By the time she gets back to the workstation, Gaia has managed to pull up stills over the warehouse from just about every angle.:: Dia, I can find nothing on that warehouse in any of the databases I can access. Nothing about it's construction, ownership, purpose or anything.

Fine, Gaia. ::With that Dia drops back down into her chair and taps her badge.:: Ember, Gaia has gotten some images of the warehouse if you would like to plan on how we are going to get in, and where we might find the offices with the computers I need.

::With that she settles back into her chair and prepares herself mentally by doing a bit of meditation.::

The voice from the badge carried over the sound of hammer on anvil. The smith put his thumb to the winged ornament and let the biometric scanner do its job. He had no idea what would happen if the scan came back negative. It was entirely possible it would inject the user with some poison or other.

"Acknowledged EmberClaw. On the way." There had been an occasion or two when he had been called this way. He grabbed as much gear as he could think of and headed towards the doorway. He stopped next to Ivan and told him to make sure the coals were properly banked before he left for the night.

It was called GPS. He had no idea what it was, or how it worked, he just knew it did. He knew that the flashing signal was EmberClaw so he followed the directional guidance on his way to meet the founder of the Guardians.

"Thank you Kruger." As he was waiting for Kruger he moved himself back down to the lab where the people were still running about. "Do you have that ready?" A couple of people moved over to him including the man from before.

"Here are the explosives." They were shoved into Emberclaw's hands and he was sure to put them away. "Remember they are just in the testing stage so they could still be unstable." A nod before Emberclaw looked to the other one.

"Well what do you have for me?" This one didn't even speak. She just shoved a device for unlocking doors into my hands. It should work well enough even if the door was coded. Then he opened the com back to Kruger. "I don't think anyone else will be coming on this. We'll have Dia for some hacking, but that's it." He frowns as he says the words. This could be dangerous, that or it could be really fun. One way or another he would do what he planned. Then he opens the link to Dia. "Can you send the images to the computer in the study I was in earlier?" That would certainly help. Without waiting for Dia's answer he heads back to that study to wait for Kruger and also to wait for the images.

Dia Solari

Date: 2012-08-27 10:32 EST
::When Ember calls back to ask for the images, Dia is still sitting in her workstation chair, so she is ready for the request.:: Gaia, you heard the man, please find that computer of his and send the images to it.

::Gaia easily finds the"address" of the machine and sends the images. There are several images of the building. As well as images of each side and the roof, there are images from the corners showing how each fit together. Each primary image has a small scale marker so the size of the various details is easily found.::

::Next Dia buts her badge back on and taps it.:: The images are sent, I have my gear. Gaia can handle any further computing needs, pre-entry from here. So I am on my way to HQ.

::As Dia is preparing to leave she is interrupted.:: Dia! That warehouse was an existing structure. I was able to find the original construction plans. I am sure there have been changes, but it will be a starting point.

Good job, Gaia. Send them to Ember also, with that noted. I am heading out. Keep me informed if you find anything else that we need to know.

::And with that Dia shoulders her bag and straddles an old wicker broom:: Gaia, send me a couple hundred feet above the river, I will follow the GPS from there.

The streets were empty, that had been the plan. The streets were empty is so often a good plan when one is going to engage in activities that are best not viewed. The biggest problem with that plan is that in Rhy?Din the streets are never empty. Kruger knew this but he also knew that as a shop owner who occasionally made deliveries at night, because well let?s face it some of the denizens here are nocturnal; he had legitimate reason to be seen. So he employed a type of stealth that he liked to call business as usual. He greeted those he knew as he would if this had been any normal day?or night time encounter. It would be more memorable if a usually jovial Kruger skulked away without a word. Did this hamper his time making it across town to the warehouse district? Not noticeably. In fact he probably made as good time taking a more direct route than angling and sneaking would have provided.

He wore dark clothes, not a real memorable event because on fight nights he often wore dark clothes to better hide any bloodstains that might suddenly spring to life. Truly this could have been a fight night for him because he wore one of those ridiculous anvil T-shirts. This particular one had an anvil sitting in front of two very large cannonballs, each had a word written across them Serious 1 and Serious 2. There was a caption as well that stated in bold red letters Darien Fenner said The Anvil has serious balls, can you imagine the cannon? The back of the T had the now familiar halo over leather wings under the words Guardians Forever.

Was this announcing that they would be engaged in illicit activities? Not in the least. This was simply Kruger casting away suspicion by being The Anvil. The two were of course inseparable. He carried a gym bag, and was headed in the general direction of one arena or another so it would be just as easy to assume that he had a fight on this side of town. The bag contained the tools Emberclaw had asked him to bring. It held his personal weapons as well. The handles of his hammers were actually standing out of the opening. Finally inside the bag was a change of clothes, these were less identifiable than his current set.

Was Emberclaw face palming when he caught sight of Kruger or was that laughter? Kruger of course pretended nothing was amiss. How Dia would react to his audacity was a mystery to the vigilante smith.

Gaining the images he moved out with a bag of his own tools. He opened the link to Dia. "I'm headed to the location." Then he opened the link to Kruger. "I will be there shortly." If everything went as planned, though most likely it wouldn't, it would be an in and out job and there would be one less warehouse around the docks. In Rhy'Din though the chances of this were very slim. Emberclaw was heading there prepared for difficulties. He was wearing a pair of black slim-fit jeans and a white "Sleeping With Sirens" shirt. It was his normal way of dressing, though it wasn't like many people knew him actually. It was better this way than to go out looking suspicious though.

As soon as he saw Kruger he was facepalming. Kruger could be quite the odd one. It was funny though. He knew Kruger would always be an asset to The Guardians so he kept him close. Hell he knew if he ever died that he would want Kruger to take his place, not that he planned on dieing any time soon. "Good evening Kruger." Simple words for a simple conversation. "I'm glad you could make it." Now he was looking around for Dia. She was an important part of the plan because she was the best with computers. He casually moves up and leans against the warehouse. "What all gear do you have?" It was good to know what he was working with.

::Receiving the message from Ember, she changes course and drops down into an alley a couple blocks from the warehouse. Stepping out of the alley, she heads to join the others, her steps those of some one confident and about their nightly busness. Her hooded robe marking her as just another of the many more medieval residents.::

::Both Kruger and Ember receive a nod when she sees them, though Kruger's is accompanied by a raised eyebrow.::

Kruger

He gave a shrug as the two approached, he wasn't being dismissive that grin said it all. The warehouse loomed in front of them. It never crossed his mind to wonder exactly how a building learns how to loom. He could see if they were in the textile district. Buildings Loom there often enough as the weave their wares. This was the warehouse district and still the building loomed. Must be something to do with the architect, that man needs to seriously change his attitude.

He stepped behind a dumpster and pulled the loud shirt over his head. The white scars lacing his back almost glowed as the sun dropped lower in the sky. Kruger reached into his satchel and pulled out the business uniform of the night, a longsleeved black shirt. Pockets lined the front, and sleeves. He began to fill the pockets with the contents of the satchel. Tiny knives were shoved into places, tools slid easily into other spots. The bag slowly became lighter until finally he deposited those two light hammers into the loops at his belt.

Kruger jerked his head in the direction of the building. A single windowed office was dimly lit. "I see a weak point..." He gave that grin as he looked down to the ground at Dia's feet. "...did somebody order a brick?"

Fallen Wolf

Date: 2012-09-28 21:23 EST
He grins as Kruger asks the question. "I think I've got something better." With that he pulls out the tiny explosives. "I suppose we'll save these for after though." A shrug as he looks to the window. "Won't be too difficult." He morphs into his anthro form and moves up to the window smashing it in. Then he looks to the others. "Need a lift?" So far the noise of the window breaking hadn't attracted anyone, but it might soon. Then again seeing an anthro outside your window isn't the most pleasing thing. A look to Dia. "It seems we've found our computers for you to hack."

Kruger

Date: 2012-10-18 02:18 EST
Kruger pulled himself through the window, all kidding set aside. Glas crunched beneath booted heels. The gritty crunching reminded him of chewing on a mouthful of peanut brittle. Except for the lack of sweetness, that same euphoria was present in him. This might be easily attributed to the nature of what the glass meant.

The ruck with all his gear was set aside in a corner. He opened it producing a pair of stun guns. He had been told non lethal was the requirement tonight. That was fine he supposed. Kruger had yet to decide on a stance where coldblooded murder was concerned. He had to agree that occasionally hotblooded murder was a thing that must be faced. When it becomes you or them this is not the time to start questioning your grit. Take them down, do it quickly and move on.

This was not the same question though. To sneak in was one thing but to kill without cause...to strike from the shadows on the unsuspecting? This was foreign to the smith...or was he something else tonight? He opened a door and slid through quietly.

The warehouse itself was set up like so many others. Racks stood like stone walls across the building. Thirty foot high walls that were made of steel. These walls however were full of large holes. A good thing in the warehousing busines because that gave them places to store their goods. He could see where strand A faced strand B. And butted up to B stood C which faced D rack. The sequence progressed in this manner until it got to the letter Z. Quite the trip as the aislways were twelve feet wide. Kruger could see the tow motors that were used up and down those aisleways. Butted up against Z rack was another strand, this particular strand began with the number 1, and then hyphonated into the letter A. It didn't take a genius like Dia to know that it would continue in the same manner and the next round would begin with a 2.

Kruger lost interest in the racks themselves and began to stalk his prey. He could hear their voices up ahead in the darkness. they carried a couple of torches. Long metal cylinders turned hither and thither like a lighthouse that was wound too tightly. Kruger ducked down behind a pallet that housed four large barrels. He waited for the two guards to pass, and was only mildly upset that they had wanted Rena to beat him the other night. She had of course and that fact had nothing to do with how hard he hit them in the back of the neck with those stun guns.

He keyed the Guardian pin and spoke in a whisper. "Two down Ember...four to go...Race you."

::With the smith in and off to take care of the guards, Dia climbs in and settles down to first examine the computers for a couple minutes. Then she lays out a couple items from her knapsack. Not being sure of the system, she carefully locates a port to attach one of her devices then powers up the system. Once the system goes to work, the device goes to work breaking into the system. Or rather, of allowing the programs housed on Gaia's systems back 'home' to break in as Dia designed them to.::

:: The system is good, but even the best system can't defend against an attack it was never expected to have to face, so it is only a few minutes later that Dia is plumbing the records with in the system. A quick connection to the second device, and she is sending file after file to that second device. Occasionally one is sent to a local printer for immediate handing over to Ember.::

Right after Dia is in he climbs in himself. Since Kruger wanted to race he heads for the next set of two. "We'll see Kruger, we'll see." Stealthy movements bring him up behind them with very little noise and he lifts them up slamming their skulls together hard enough to knock them out, but not hard enough to kill. "My hands are my weapons." Then he's back towards Dia to grab up the pages and search through them. "Hell good thing we had Dia look. Get over here Kruger." He was paying attention to the pages because the information they had them handling drugs. It still wasn't reason to kill, but it was a good enough reason to make sure this warehouse wasn't going to be used anymore. Of course that meant the explosives he brought with him were gonna be used.

Emberclaw lifts up the two bodies and drops them outside for moving later. He wouldn't have any casualties even if they weren't the greatest people. Then he was beside Dia. "Can you check on any other warehouses in the area. If there's one there's gonna be another and we need to get them all." This job seemed too easy though. Way too easy. It was like they didn't expect to get attacked, or if they did... Well there was another time and place to think about that.

Kruger

Date: 2012-10-27 22:03 EST
He worked his way through the darkness taking note of the roof supports. The building was wide and long. There were three supports for each of the roof beams. The beams were at fifty foot intervals some passing into locations in that racking system. Others fell just in front of or behind a strand of rack. The separation on the supports was again fifty feet, from wall to wall it was easily two hundred and fifty feet and twice as long. ?I hope you brought enough explosives Ember.? He left the channel open to aid in communication.

The capacity of the building aside, he could see little in front of him. Kruger could hear the pings of liquids expanding inside the drums that took up so much of the rack. Occasionally there was the sound of a gong as a gas compressed a drum top. These noises could be eerie in the dark, alone in a vast expanse of building. He worked his way to the south west corner of the building before he found what he was looking for. ?Got it Ember?the fire room? You said it would likely be here right? Now tell me what I am looking for.?

He had a general idea of what it was, but the container would be important, its location in that system that Dia was molesting with virus and probe. ?Would they store the stuff up there?? He looked at the topmost level of the rack. Above a sophisticated sprinkler system was in place to smother any fire that would set off the alarm. He waited for confirmation before he would begin a fruitless climb.

Dia Solari

Date: 2012-12-08 21:08 EST
Okay guys, I have stripped everything I can find off his system. I can't find any thing obvious about drugs or other locations, but Gaia and I may find stuff hidden or encoded in the stuff I did get.

For your end, look for tuns or other types of barrels. In this mixed culture I think they would provide the easiest ways of hiding things. Also take pictures, of everything and anything. Even the markings on the various containers. The sources of them and where they come from may tell us something. Of course that includes any papers you find lying around.

Fallen Wolf

He listens to Dia briefly and then replies for her. "Okay. We'll begin searching hard." He makes his way over to Kruger. "Lets do this." He figured it was a high possibility for them to be stored up there. Now he would begin the climb a bit away from Kruger so that he could check another area. There was no point of having two people check the same area. "There's gotta be something in this warehouse they don't want seen." Shrugging to Kruger as he climbs. "We're going to find it no matter what?" He was adamant in this.

Kruger

Date: 2012-12-20 22:02 EST
There were struggles aplenty for Kruger, most of these seemed to be in the removal of every page from the packaging envelopes. Material Safety Data Sheets were thick in his fingers trifolded for easy insertion into those plastic envelopes. Along with these he found a copy of Bills of Lading, closer examination of this would reveal a bit of things he was sure. What had come in on the shipment, other stops made along the way and what was dropped there. This information could prove vital to Dia, though he supposed it was just as likely the chemical information and addresses would yield nothing but more questions.

Kruger eased along the front of the racking shoving papers into his sack and moving to the next set of drums. When he came to the final pallet he began his climb down, dropping the last five feet. ?Time Ember?.we are running out of it here. Let?s drop the ceiling and get out?if we are lucky the flames will consume everything.? He moved down the aisle quickly opening one of the overhead doors enough to jack rabbit off the dock. On the ground he crouched low and moved into the woods hoping that too much time hadn?t gone by, the last thing the Guardians needed was to gain a reputation for what was about to happen. Spun the wrong way Ember and himself would easily become names on the growing list of Watch BOLO?s.

Fallen Wolf

While Kruger was moving one way he was moving the opposite. Collecting what papers he could along the way. He didn't look through them yet though, there was time enough when they were gone. Then Kruger said it was time. " Okay." He watched as Kruger exited and then made his way over to Dia. "You need to get out. It's time for me to blow this place. I don't want you in here while I'm setting the explosives." He cared plenty about his members. He didn't want anything to go wrong while placing the explosives that would get them injured. That and if any blame was to go he didn't want it to go to Dia or Kruger. The blame would all go to him if any at all. Knowing that Dia would get out he moved about placing the explosives in key points.

He messes with his badge to talk to Kruger. "About ready Kruger. I'll be out in a bit." Little did Emberclaw know that one of the guards he had knocked out had woken up and was slowly coming up behind him. He was too busy talking to Kruger to notice. Then the slight sound had him turning and the guard was there. A quick punch knocked Emberclaw off balance and into one of the walls. He was dazed as the punch had hit him in the face. Would he be making it out of here?

Dia Solari

Date: 2012-12-22 20:15 EST
::Dia just nods silently at Ember's command. She doesn't hang around, just double checks that she has grabbed everything available to be grabbed, even the trash out of any cans visible. Then she exits the same way she came in, since that's the closest one available. Whistling up her broom as she climbs out the window, she leaps astride it, wraps her cloak around her and takes off upwards to lose herself in the sky.::

Fallen Wolf

The dazed feeling was slow to fade. Slow movements as he tried to dodge the punches coming at him. He wasn't very successful at this point, but he was slowly regaining his senses. As this happened he was able to dodge more of the attacks the guard was throwing at him, but soon there would be more. A quick switch to his anthro form and he just knocked the man away. Then he was running and setting out the explosives in key positions within the warehouse. After each was set he made his way for the window.

A quick jump and vault had him through and running the way Kruger had gone, but there was a brief stop as he turned and set off the explosives. There was no loud boom. Just a kind of air wave that you could feel. The building collapsed in smoke and fire and Emberclaw was already running again. There was no time to make sure that no survivors had made it out, especially considering it was unlikely. The only conscious guard was most likely concussed from the blow that had hit him. "It's done." He said this through the badge so they would know "Meet up at the base to discuss our next move and figure out what those papers are."
