He had shot her a message to meet him at their bar. He called it their bar because most of the time when they went there, no one else was there. Plus, it was where they went to get away from the normally engrossing crowd at the inn. Shane was friendly a amiable, so he tended to get approached and ensnared in conversation. Here, at this place, it would only be the two of them. He had just come from work so he was wearing a light long sleeves grey shirt and his dark denim pants rested just after his ankles. Blades of messy, dark auburn hair bangs coming down on his forehead, which he pushed to the side of his forehead with a sharp thrust of his jaw. When he got there he realized he'd beaten her to the location so he went to the bar, up-nodded to the barkeep and ordered his usual whiskey sour.

Twenty four didn't feel any different than twenty three. At least that's what she thought. Step after step she managed to make her way up to Stars End and then within. It was their bar for other reasons too. This was where they had met, where they had flirted and formed interest in each other. It was their chance to be with each other without the trouble of other life like things. Eventually she managed to stride over to the Irish man, looking worn and tired from work, and wrap her arms around him. Her face nuzzled at his shoulder lightly and she sighed out," Mmm... Hey you." It had been a very long day. Even as she let herself move around him she failed to stop a yawn from falling from her lips.

"Hey, beautiful." He called people beautiful. Friends, random female strangers. It sounds more like a friendly gesture than a real remark. Not like when he says it to her. His voice sort of softens and goes low. It's not a funny nickname or title; it's a quick and delicate way of telling her that she was beautiful. He wrapped her arm around her and grinned as her mouth went wide with a yawn, "Oh my, don't wake up on my account."

She smiled to him, one hand falling to rest on his chest as he spoke. The beautiful comment got a well deserved blush, but never the less; it was the last comment that got her to giggle lightly. She stood up on her toes, gave a kiss to his lips, and murmured out to him softly," How was work stud?" She called only him stud, because he was one.

"Busy busy, think I got Harvey on his breaking point about selling the shop. You, my dear one," his arm dropped around her waist to draw her in. His grin is deep, frame by his dimples, "will be dating a lead tailor. Think you can handle it? You know all the women are after us tailors."

"If I must I'll beat them off with your fabric sheers. There is no way I'm going to let them swarm my man." She grinned, squeezing him tightly and kissing at his shoulder," Do you need me to do anything to help you out?" Scully was sure that she wanted to be there for Shane in any moment of need. She settled on the bar stool and spun for a moment to face him better," I was thinking about going back to my natural red."

"You know... there is something you could do for me," he said with a grin at her, eyebrows arched up, "I just bought a piece of wood and got it cut into a nice shape, but it would be nice if you painted it. It's the new sign for the shop. I don't know if you would find doing something like that boring, but... it would be helping me out a great deal. I think your handwriting is far prettier." He grinned at her the way con men do when they're hoping to catch a fish.

She perked a brow and tilted her head to the side," What do you need it to say?" Her smile grew, both of her arms wrapping around him as she squeezed him tightly. She fully rested her head on his shoulder, both of her brows sky high as if the fish was sniffing the bait.

"Keeping You In Stitches!" His hand sprawls the sky as though the sign were there to indicate to, "And then maybe someone behind it laughing and holding a needle... or something, I dunno. The design part of it is all you, but the store name has to stay the same or I gotta go through monster paperwork. Sides, I like the store name." One hand ran down her back and he nudged her, "You want to go home, babe? You seem kinda tired tonight."

She smiled to him," I'll be fine. Let's stay as long as you want to babe." She kissed at his shoulder again and brushed her fingers over his chest. A small grin formed on her lips," Keeping you in stitches it is... And trust me. I'll do my best to make it amazing for you." She nodded her head a bit, both of her eyes locking with his and her brows rose upwards. She murmured softly," Should we have a party for the new owner?"

"I have the sign out back of the house, but nothing is on it," he said with a smile, turning a little from her just to take a swallow from his drink. When he looked back at her he tapped her on the chin, "Well, I can't have you yawning away the night. I'll look like a bad boyfriend keeping his tired girlfriend out on the town."

She shook her head and pouted softly to him," But when was the last time we were out on the town babe? I know how much fun it would be for you to get out and see all your friends." She smiled to him, her fingers fumbling with his shirt a bit," But then again, I'm pretty sure you're going stir crazy having to deal with me instead of going out with Brandon or your friends.."

"Pfftttt, I asked you to meet me here, didn't I? So obviously this isn't like... me going out on the town as usual to meet up friends. It was to meet up with you, and you alone. My superstar," and he leaned in to kiss her then, pulling back and giving her a wrinkle of his nose as if to say he had enjoyed kissing her then perhaps a bit too much.

"You keep this up and I'll have to spoil you tonight Prince Charming." She kissed him back and giggled. She saw that look, leaned in, and kissed at his lips again, giving a small squeeze to his sides with her hands. She managed to whisper out to him lightly," I love you Shane."

"Hmmmm?" he pulled back a little when she said it and looked like he had a sleepy smile. But his eyes widen, waken up some and his arms stay around her, "You love me like... you're in love with me? Or you love me like you love chocolate?"

"I'm in love with you like I don't want anyone else but you in my life love with you? I'm in love with you more than I love chocolate." She said to him, her lips pursing a bit. She slid down into his arms and nuzzles at his chest softly," Like madly in love with you.."

".... more than chocolate..." his voice trails but instead of his jest, his comedy of laughter and dance he was touched and softer, gentle. His arm dropped around her shoulders as he rose up to his feet and looked down at her. His eyes said there, on his face, un-wavered by even a hurricane, "Let's go home."

She looped her arm around him, giving a squeeze to him as she smiled. She nodded to him, not needing to have words at that moment at all. Together they moved towards the door while she mused," I think you'll like me as a red head just about as much as you like me with the pink hair."

"Noooo, there are too many red heads in this town. I've got the only Pinky," he kissed the top of her head and kept her close to him. His pendulum stride timed with her's so they walked with great tandem together. Eyebrows arched up as his eyes shot down the way home as they went.
