Ascension. Saphira hadn't even started yet on her own project, and had no idea what to do. Her magic was too specialized. She could use any element, but was by far more comfortable with Ice. Between classes, the girls' little escapade, and the pressure of Ascensions, she was beginning to feel the stress. Not even Kish had been able to assuage all her worries and there was another thing weighing on her mind. She'd made a promise to Albion. In exchange for him joining Vliss, Damien herself and possibly a few other for some rest and relaxation, she'd promised to go furless.

She never went furless. She sighed and murmured an incantation conjuring a sheet of polished ice before herself. So perfect it acted as a mirror. She took a breath and exhaled slowly, letting her fur fade, withdrawing into flesh that by rights should have been smooth and soft. Flesh that was wrinkled and twisted from extensive burns that had been set before she'd had her first change, and so were permanent. Angry purple and red twisted from the tops of her feet, and covered the majority of her legs, winding up her slender body, over hips, stomach and the gentle swell of her breasts.

Arms too, were marred with angry scars that wound to her neck and there stopped. Her face had been saved only because another villager had doused the burning cage before it had burned. Not for concern for her, but for fear the nearby houses would catch fire as well. She took a shuddering breath and looked away, her fur returning. Thick, soft, white, and safe. She dispelled the ice mirror suddenly and wrapped her arms around herself. But she'd promised.

Better to think of something else now. What to do for her project would be an excellent choice. Her thoughts kept wandering back to her scars....it was this that gave her the idea. What if it were possible to...? She stepped toward the bookshelf abruptly and let her fingers lightly flit over the worn spines. Ah, there it was.... Elemental rejuvenation She opened the book and flipped through it, she was sure she saw...yes. There it was, the diagram was clear, but...it was advanced, far beyond her ability..she would need help.
