Chaos

So it was a disaster for all intentions. The forces of destruction had shown no mercy to this small place that he had assumed once had been happy? Who knows. The forest as he walked through it screamed of death and terror that had been here before. It had hardly noticed Bob at all, it was not strong enough to care any longer. He did know Belle had come to call this place home once. Where she was now, who knew. Eventually she might return. For the others he did not know however, this little favor would be done for free.

It was called the Kingdom, but it only comprised one little house in the forest. Hardly worth calling this a kingdom and hardly worth defending at all, no wonder it fell so easily. There would be some changes in the old forest tonight. Starting with a brand new castle.

Bob would not destroy the old one. It might have held some memories for the people who still remained here. It was time to have the land itself help out in this matter. "Arise, sentinel of the forest, you are needed once more to protect your mistresses, and your land is dying. I know you and I have never actually gotten along in the past but this time our goals are the same, what say you, castle?" He said and his voice was followed by silence for a short amount of time.

The ground began to rumble then, the trees of the forest shook enough to move but none of them snapped and tumbled to the ground. A great castle rose from the void of the solid earth itself, spreading a vast cloud of dust and not to mention enough noise to spook every animal in the forest, there were not many left here. The castle was white and massive. The rooms inside were numerous, possibly more than could be explored in three lifetimes. What good is a castle with out a Dungeon, right? This one had one just as vast and currently it was empty, awaiting prisoners and victims alike. Every kingdom needed a center and every forest needed some mystery. Bob had just provided both. The castle would not be located easily despite its size. Enchanted to be missing from the sight and path of mortals and the uninvited alike it would be not easy to find.

Bob had decided this was a good start. And then he remembered that this place was destroyed, it would need an army. All of the Kingdoms needed an army. Magic users and brute force was an excellent stratagem to be had and often very effective. The nameless forest was not exactly expansive, but it was vulnerable from many angles. Bob then summoned a small part of his own army from the netherworld beyond this reality. The first thing that appeared were the magic users. The fragile and dressed in white mages. They were called the formless, always present in the forest as harmless mists laying low to the ground they would. Their powers excelled in energy manipulation and destruction at long range. The formless were accompanied by their counterparts, the Twisted. These were Grey giants up to twelve feet tall or more. They had very large weapons, usually giant swords. Combat and defense is all they did but they had their share of intelligence as well and could recognize friend from foe. Their regeneration is powerful and makes them almost immune to pain and most intermediate injuries. There were ten thousand of the Formless, and six thousand of the Twisted. Bob had sent them to their places and as they marched away. He figured something better would be needed, just in case.

Twisted and the Formless

Bob watched the creatures go and sooner than later he was alone once more. Bob had decided to call upon the soul of a fierce and hungry spirit that would be employed and kept in check by the castle itself. The monster would not be given a name, but it would be given the chance to exist. Bob had stolen this tortured ghost from some world that had long since died out, starving for anything to keep it from going more insane than it was. The guardian of the forest would never be seen by mortal or immortal eyes alike. Although you could feel it watching you. You would remain safe. The guardian was deformed and hard to look at. Bob had provided a weak picture of it so if they would see a glimpse of some terrible thing lurking through the trees, this is what it would be.

The Guardian would defend the forest from harm and the castle as well from any enemy force. It would never leave any remains left, for it would devour the blood and flesh of any enemy. It was immune to poisons and as long as the forest stood and lived, so would it. This spirit remained invisible most of the time. If you saw it. It would be twice the height of the average Twisted and three times as fast as the Formless. It is immune to clerical spells of holy banishing, for the monster is considered a holy ghost on its own.

The guardian is playful and sometimes makes it snow in middle of the summer or rain in the winter. Despite its occupation it does like to have some amount of fun. It is deadly serious in battle and the defense of its home. But otherwise it can be a companion when alone in the forest. Sometimes it appears as a mysterious beautiful woman to ones lost in the forest only to lead the way to the castle, then vanish with no trace.

Bob sent the spirit from its former home to this new one, the forest of Kalasal.

Bob then surveyed the Forest Kingdom and decided to call it good enough for the time being. As he vanished from the forest he casted a quick spell over it that would act as a minor shield over the entire forest. It was now protected from most magical attacks and from those who would do it harm , they could not enter this place with out suffering immensely like being on fire from the inside out.

What they did with it from here on out was up to them.
