But this grim realm, be altered, for you see it took some of those Mists of Ravenloft and became a land of the Dead. A land where the undead wander about, and not just mindless zombies and ghouls. Here the intelligent undead, Vampires and Ghosts have possitions of authority and rule from dark, haunted places.
The cities of Darkon are ruined places, necropoli on a massive scale. The sky is always dark with cloud, and it is always prepetual twilight. The land is dead, trees lay dying, carrion birds take wing, and the rivers are all blood.
There are living beings are, kept alive by Azalin's will alone, for you see if a living mortal does enter these lands without Azalin's permission, their very soul and life is drained by the everpresent Mists and the forever hungering soil.
And Azalin's chief and most powerful servant is Khoss, or also known as the DarkHand of Azalin Rex, Crown Prince of the Realm and Lord General of the Grim Legions of Darkon. He rules over the many from his dark fortress of DarkHaven.
Azalin himself, now a much more powerful DemiLich, still rules from grim Avernus, which has a permenent portal to Hell itself, deep within the bowels of the Castle.
So brave soul, do you dare to enter Darkon, Land of the Mists? For the cost of such curosity, maybe your soul, muhahahaha!
