It took him a week's worth to pull off what Yejix had him to do.
All he had to do was push an unlit candle with his mind, nothing more.
Easier said than done.
For days, he sat in a bare room with the candle in front of him, staring at it hard with a strained expression on his face. Even sweat beaded his shaven head. He kept at it for hours at a day, progressively neglecting his day-to-day chores, familial duties, marital duties, and ultimately eating and drinking at the last two days.
Still, the candle remained motionless.
He was quite determined to get even with Zero for humiliating him on so many levels.
However, at the last day of the week, he was frustrated at his apparent inability to influence the candle to move with his mind. He charged up energy into his hands, and with a yell borne of anger and effort, jabbed them towards the candle, unleashing a burst of energy which sent the candle flying towards the far wall to shatter into large pieces.
He blinked at the pieces coming to rest on the floor. Silence ensued for several moments.
"Was that it..?" he blinked as he wondered out loud and then quickly got up from sitting cross-legged. However, he stumbled onto the floor on his way to the door due to his legs being in a fixed position for at least two days.
"Argh.. Yejix! YEJIX!" he yelled as he stood back up with effort, willing his legs to become more limber as he hobbled himself out of the room to look for Yejix.
Hopefully he hadn't missed Yejix leaving back to his own home during the week due to his otherwise determined occupation.
