"So basically it works like this, instead of combing the streets looking for missing persons like you've been doing Sev, we advertise. Parcel delivery from here earthside, via our little rabbit hole."

"You think anyone's really gonna fall for that Gus?"

"Yeah. I do."

Gustave was actually fairly proud of his plan. It was the first idea he'd presented to Allan Brody that he hadn't had to revise nine times before it was approved. In fact he'd only had to do it once, and that was only to include his test case.

Her name was Mindy, a pretty little librarian from Peach Grove, Alabama. She'd been brought here on a city bus that took a wrong turn towards the twilight zone more than a year past. When Gus met her at the library in his first week here they'd done a lot of chatting. She'd mentioned wishing she could send her niece a birthday gift, but didn't know how to get it there.

"I can do that. I've got a way to keep in touch with people back home." He didn't elaborate on how, or that he could actually send people back home that way too. It sounded a little to SyFy theme movie of the week-ish.

The next day she'd brought him a box, and a few silver crowns to cover his expenses. Since then they'd been making exchanges like that every other week.

Sometimes he'd get a return package for her at the Post Office box Brody had set up for him, which always made Mindy smile. Today he had a rather large package to deliver. One that smelled like peaches of all things.
