Another letter arrived to Tera and her friends at the Oracle, this time burned into the very wall, deep, as if chisled by heat, for all to see.

"Tsk Tsk Tera, cannot play with the grown ups, no sense of humor, i see. You need your so called friends to help you. If you cannot fight your own battles, prehaps you should go back to the playpen. Your vampire, bloodsucker friend does not scare me, nor well i be dictated to. I have while you have been going on about your foolish politics, taken it upon myself to take care one of the morons running for Governor.

And you should have heard that Khaine Levaque scream and beg for mercy, some orc he was. He begged me not to harm his wife and child. He was most pathetic, like the rest of them, like all the Cattle of this city.
I also killed another 30 sheep, in the same manner, though their heads i took, i have quite the collection now, well over 120, i believe.

Oh and i really don't care for all those idiots thinking they can figure me out. They are all sadly wrong, you cannot analyze or measure or figure out the Darkness that there is. It is a futile attempt to understand the unknown, a very human trait, and most unbecoming that Count talomar, and yes i did not capitalize his name. He does not deserve such a compliment, Strahd was a far better Vampire then that fop talomar.

Anyways, Ta-Ta, little girl, and prehaps you should buy a binky, it suits you little girl."

Amal passes by and sees the damaged wall. After reading it she frowns.

"What a shame." She stands there frowning, hands on her hips.

"Tera! TERA!! There's a note here for you. Just make sure that the wall looks like new after you are done reading." She walks away muttering "I hate it when a nice wall like that gets damaged."

As Karen had promised, a Templar soldier had arrived shortly after the Oracle's office opened... just as one had arrived every morning since Karen had announced her candidacy. He was primarily there to run messages back to Karen's office... but he was also there now to keep an eye out for more messages from the so-called 'Ravager'.

When he overheard Amal saying something about a note, he quickly hurried over to see what she meant.

Grabbing a handy sheet of blank paper, he quickly copied down the text. He then headed outside and flagged down a young boy he saw carrying one of the wooden knights that had been handed out on Christmas Eve. "Young Warrior" he called out, "I have a mission for you."

The boy rushed over and gave a playful salute, which the soldier returned with a smile. "There should be a pair of Knights patroling nearby," he said. "Take this note and give it to one of them... the safety of the city is in your hands!"

True, the safety of the city didn't hinge on the delivery of the note... but it would give the boy a greater sense of accomplishment and pride.

The boy took the note and gave another salute before running pell-mell up the street to find a Templar Knight.

Des was at the refreshment table getting a refill of coffee when she heard Amal?s voice calling her name. She looked left and looked right in search of a place to hide since she wasn?t at her desk to be able to pretend to be working by shuffling blank pieces of paper from one cubbyhole to another. There was no really good, safe, place in sight to hide this time.

Instead she snuck closer to the potted plant and peered around it while doing her best to stay out of sight as Amal?s voice continued. What in tarnation did a note for her and the wall looking like new have to do with each other, she couldn?t help but wonder. She heard her Boss muttering but her voice was so low from where she was hiding out she couldn?t make out the rest of the words. The cowgirl Queen was totally confused as she tried to figure out why she was being yelled for and told about a wall of all things.

She waited until Amal disappeared then sipping her coffee she strolled into the office area and headed for her desk in search of the note she had been told she had received. Des smiled to that nice Templar Knight fellow she had seen a few times in the office as she noticed them writing something down between glances... at the wall.

Surely not, was her first thought. Her second thought wasn?t a thought but a groan and not a silent one either but out loud as her gaze followed the Templar?s to the wall to behold the scene of the crime. A crime it surely was. Defacement of property! She turned on a heel and headed to the storage closet where she got the putty and a putty knife along with a can of paint and paintbrush.

The words she was muttering were not kind in the least as she was a reporter not a construction worker or day labor yet here she was smearing putty on the burnt into the wall letters to conceal this latest note so thoughtfully delivered to her in such kind words no less. Little girl was she. She certainly hadn?t had any complaints she could recall about her curves in more years than she could count. She now doubted this mangey coyote had ever actually been watching her at all or being a male he would have noticed her looks. She wasn?t conceited but she knew she was easy enough on the eye to not need a pacifier as she was a grown woman and it didn?t take more than one look for a male of the species to figure that out.

The more putty she slapped on the wall and more muttering she did about what was written in the note the more aggravated she got and the wilder the strokes became of the putty knife. It wasn?t too long until she was dotted in putty along with the floor around her right along with the wall she was attempting to fix.
