The barrister strode up the steps and entered the offices of The Oracle, briefcase in hand. He had promised the Destre he'd get her some notes and Lucien decided he better get them to her before her story deadline. One didn't need to be a reporter at The Oracle to know the Editor was a stickler for deadlines. Amaltea's management was legendary.

Lucien was greeted with sounds of presses going and the sight of newsies rushing to and fro as he entered the building. Lucien found a smile for the receptionist as he approached the reception counter. "Good day. I'm here to speak with one the reporters, please. Tera Starfare?"

The cowgirl Queen had been watching for Lucien off and on from her desk between writing up her articles and sipping cider to wash down bites of her unending supply of snacks. When she spotted him at the reception desk she shoved back her chair and hopped to her feet with a bright smile appearing. "Lucien! Ya didn't forget!"

Des was headed fast as could be over to him while waving at him to make sure she got his attention in the busy newsroom. It was the first time she had been able to get someone to write something for the paper and she was so excited she about couldn't stand herself as she pulled up short beside him.

Her smile turned radiant with expectation as she glanced toward his briefcase then back to his face. "Ya got me an article right?" Then a sudden thought hit her as she remembered something and her smile faultered as navy blue eyes went wide.

"Oh no! This ain't about that little old lady down the street whose cat got out and Little Kali Kat tore it's ear half off is it because if it is I can explain this time I swear!"

The barrister gave the receptionist an appreciative nod, then stepped away from the desk when he heard the cowgirl Queen's call over the buzz of activity at the tabloid's offices. An amused grin tugged behind the neatly trimmed beard as he watched the news reporter's animated approach.

"Good day, Destre," he greeted her when she came to his side.

"Ya got me an article right?"

He laughed good natured as the reporter got right to the point. He started reaching into his breast pocket, but stopped, as her expression fell.

"Oh no! This ain't about that little old lady down the street whose cat got out and Little Kali Kat tore it's ear half off is it because if it is I can explain this time I swear!"

A curious brow rose at her revelation about a cat fight. He quickly put on a sober, an almost resigned expression as if he was going to carry out something he didn't want to do. With great reluctance he reached into his breast pocket again.

"You know as well as I do, we all have to do things we really don't want to." He sighed deeply as he pulled out his notes and handed over the folded document to Destre.
