Heya folks. This is your resident, mostly-friendly player behind the former Dockside News boys of Norm and Jeff. Currently, with two ace reporters on leave and some of the others dedicating themselves to the society, gossip and other pages, the Oracle needs articles, reporters and tipsters for the city-wide news!

There are currently three reporters dedicated to the News section of the Oracle. As one can well imagine, that's a whole lot of realm to cover for three people, so we need your help in order to really make the Oracle the best it can be.

Here's what we're really, seriously in need of. Pick an option that fits, and please get involved!

Reporters: Currently, as I said, we have three reporters on the actual news. What I would really like is one or two more (or more yet!) dedicated news staff to wade into the thick of the realm and get the scoop. Someone to report just exclusively on the WestEnd (what's going on, who's lived, who's died, etc) would be a huge bonus, but we'll take anyone who's willing to go after that story and get it. The pay is good, and the job can potentially be a ton of fun. PM or IM me if you want to try that, and we can talk about how to move forward.

Articles: Being a reporter takes dedication, and a lot of folks just don't have the time to work on stories and have them in by deadline. So, if you're one of those folks, but still want to contribute to the Oracle, look into freelancing! You can write an article about a news story you see, use your character's main name or a made up one, and send it in. You'll be paid for it, and credit remains fully yours. The more news content, from all across the city, the better the paper. If you want to write freelance, but don't know what to tackle, PM or IM me and I'll be glad to give you an "official" assignment that you can work on over the month.

Tips: If you just don't have time for the first two, then be a tipster! See an interesting story? Pass us a tip! PM, IM, or post it here on the Oracle's subforum. That way, if we miss a story as it happens, we can go back and revisit it, and hopefully get it into the paper.

Anyway, that's what's needed right now. Please get involved in one of the above ways if you can.
