The heavy robe brushed along the ground as he pushed open the door to the Oracle. This was something new, it wasn't here before. He pulled back the hood adorning his head to reveal his jet black long hair pulled back into a tail, and pure white eyes. From those eyes was a deep purple smoke that seemed to drift easily upwards, disipating a few inches above his head. He walked tall, easily as he approached what appeared to be the receptionist's desk.

"Excuse me," came a metalic voice, with a strange warmth. "This is the Oracle, isn't it?" He offered a gentle smile to the young lady sitting there.

Des came bustling through the door to The Oracle office building with her arms full of cardboard cupholders of cafe mochas and pastries piled one on top of the other rather precariously. She came to a sudden halt upon spotting the stranger who appeared to be smoking in the reception area. Her first thought was they must be on fire which generated a bit of panic in the cowgirl Queen.

"Hey Mister. Ya okay? Ya need some help?"

Granted the smoke was purple but some chemicals she thought she had heard put off purple smoke and she had seen some pretty strange things in her time in RhyDin and if this stranger was in need of aide she surely would do what she could by hurling the precious cafe mochas on them to put out the fire.

The man quickly positioned himself to make sure that the woman who had come in behind him asking him if he was alright was not going to lose the cargo that she was so carefully carring. He offered a light laugh and a warm smile. "No, my lady, I am quite alright. I apologize if I have startled you." When he was sure she was balanced and not going to lose anything, he bowed gently. "My name is Vargus. I was hoping that I could speek with a reporter for a few minutes. Do you know who would be available?"

It was strange, but the white within white eyes, and the deep metalic echo that came from the man's otherwise warm voice seemed to be a generally plesant person.

Des calmed considerably when the stranger turned around so thoughtfully and got her bearings. Her hold on the bounty she had brought with her this morning shifted so nothing would fall as her gaze quickly moved from head to toe over them in search of tell-tale flames only to find not a hint.

She smiled to them upon seeing they were in no pain and actually were quite pleasant and even polite acting which was something new for the usual visitor they got at the offices. "I'm pleased to meet ya Vargus. My name is Tera Starfare but most call me Des. Just so happens that I am one of the reporters for the paper. If ya wanna come on along with me I'm gonna set out these here pastries to share and the cafe mochas I brought. Would ya like some of either? Then we can have a seat over at my desk and savor some coffee and pastry while ya tell me what brings ya here to speak with a reporter. Sound good to ya?"

She finally had to stop talking to catch her breath and gave him another smile while motioning toward the reporter desk area with a nod of her head in that direction.

He returned her smile, and quickly took some of the load from her. "I would be remiss if I did not render aid to you, Lady Des." He balanced the bit he had taken from her carefully and followed. "I am very thankful for your kindness and in your offering."

He followed behind as she lead him. "I must admit, I have been away from Rhy'Din for a very long time. Years, actually." He admited as he followed her, smiling at those that would pass by him. "I didn't realize that a newspaper would be born within the confines of the city. It is truly amazing what has happened over the passing years." He watched for the place that would be destine with the morning treats. "How long has the Oracle been running now?"

Des smiled and nodded to him in thanks for lightening the boxes of pastries and cardboard containers of caf? mocha she was carrying. ?Why thank ya kindly for the assistance Vargus. I would be terrible sad if I spilled any of these here treats I brought this mornin?. Have ya ever tried any caf? mocha from that there little shop over by The Marketplace? If not ya are really in for a treat today and this I do promise ya!?

She expertly set out the different types of pastries in an appealing array on the refreshment table then unloaded the caf? mochas from their containers and set them alongside where the staff could serve themselves but reserved one for herself and offered another to their guest. ?I?m right happy to hear that it sounds like perhaps ya have found your way back home again to RhyDin. Well at least I tend to call RhyDin one of my homes after livin? here as long as I have. I do have another place that is my home now that I am married and all and that is my for real home that I cherish most of all.

She couldn?t wait another moment for a sip of her drink and paused to savor the flavored coffee before continuing on. ?Yup! The Oracle here began publication will be two years ago this here comin? June. We got all the back issues for anyone that wants to be readin? ?em even.?

He nodded, watching her. "I would like to purchase the back copy's then. It will aid in my research. I am actually doing some investigating and need to get some insite into what has been going on in recent weeks. The Watch is not very forth coming. Of course, I'm only a civilian, but I have been hearing that there have been raids and attacks on the city repeated over the last few weeks."

He shook his head, then looked behind him. "I've heard other things going on as well that are very disturbing to say the least." He looked back to her. "Many of my contacts in the city have left. I was hoping the Oracle may offer a lead to point me in a new direction."

She smiled and nodded to him after he finished explaining what he wanted and why. "We got 'em all filed in a room nice and neat by month and year in boxes. They is two silver an issue for each that ya want. Ya can fetch which ones ya want and then pay for 'em at the front desk. It is that door over there." She motioned to the correct door for him.

"Give a yell if ya need help finding anything or totin' what ya do find that ya want."
