Sharon Gossip

This is where are intrepid reporter will keep accounts of what?s happening in her life.

Introduction:

Sharon Gossip was born and bred in Rhy?Din. Her family has lived in the Southside for over three generations. Some may ponder how they managed to survive the nexus shifts, but many in the Southside know a secret that has escaped the majority of the populace; the Southside has less nexual activity, making it easier for the locals to call it home. Many years ago this secret was discovered by a handful of services which over the years have become stables for the population of Rhy?Din and its surrounding areas. From farmers hawking their produce, to clothiers, the Southside keeps the gears churning no matter the level of nexual activity wrecking ruin in others areas of town. Sharon?s family built a profitable business off of waste management, (a.k.a. garbage collecting).

Sharon?s great grandfather saw an opportunity and seized upon it and the business has passed down from son to son since. Sharon?s father, Noah Gossip, took over the business when Sharon wasn?t even a gleam in her parent?s eyes. Imma Gossip, Sharon?s mother does the bookkeeping for the business and all seven of Sharon?s brothers work for their father. Only Sharon has broken family tradition and gotten a different kind of job.

Imma and Noah are worried that their thirty-four year old, (soon to be thirty-five), daughter will die a spinster. They strive to find good men for her but are often met with disappointment as Sharon seems far more dedicated to building her career than finding a man. Imma will never give up however and continues the desperate search even today. No seemingly human male is safe from a potential blind date with the disinterested reporter. Since Imma never strays from Southside, Sharon feels she?s pretty safe in rejecting the men her mother insists on parading before her.

All seven of Sharon?s brothers are married with many children. Sharon doesn?t see the appeal. For her family reunions, (which happen every Wednesday night), are sheer torture and she looks for any excuse to avoid them. (It is also at these events that the ?blind dates? are most likely to appear.)

Sharon had been living in the Dockside, but recent occurrences have made her rethink the wisdom of the location. Sure, rent was cheap, but the nightly scream fests are worrying on her last nerve. So, in desperation, Sharon appealed to one of the only two friends she has, Physhra. It just so happened that since Phy had lost her job at the ?Evening Shroud? she?d found herself living in a ?rat hole?, (as Phy dubbed it). Since both had gotten jobs at the new Rhy'Din Newspaper, The Oracle, the pair agreed that it was time for both of them to move and so it is they are currently planning on sharing a space. They don?t yet know where but they are arguing over it daily.
