Early morning, July 31st..
There was a massive rush of relief and she murmured under breath. He was alive. She wanted to fuss at him for scaring her like that. Really! What could she really say but apologize again. Which she did. A number of times. Her eyes trailed from him and towards the colorful display some odd space away. There was a twist in her stomach. Such a display..Surely Phantas had made it away. Mayu.. Think..Positive.. Phantas hadn't really given her reason to trust her in the first place but she felt darn guilty for not. Swallowing nervously she clenched her eyes closed. Phantas made it away. She had to. Mayu was okay. Toby was okay. Everything..was okay. Positive thinking. She could do it! Sniffing she looked back to Toby and her brows started to knit. "You look awful.."
?K-Ka..Katt.. You..you have to..l-let..let go.. On..stomach.. My.. Please.. It..? His face scrunched up, he tried not to laugh..really.. Tears came right afterward, he sucked in a shuddering breath. ?My..b-back.. It hu-hurts..?
"S-Sorry!" She squeaked out, suddenly remembering things. Shaking her head she quickly nudged him onto his side and eventually his stomach. The cloak was yanked off and rolled up slightly in order to act like some cushion. She looked over his back and her whole body tensed. "Oh god..what..has he done to you.."
?Ngh..geh..? He wheezed pitifully throughout it. He guessed..he still had enough energy to sound like it hurt as much as it did.. There were chains all over him, knives buried and hidden somewhere in his chest. Ribs broken..something was probably punctured.. But laying on all of that felt so much better..then resting on his other side which had little to no flesh. His fingers curled weakly into the cloak she had set down. He leaned his forehead against it..and cried.
Her chest clenched and she blinked away a few tears that threatened to blur her vision. Damn Tylor for getting rid of the elixir. And the new moon was too far away. A hand reached out, trembling fingers touching his hair for a moment in attempt to sooth him. She found herself concerned if she'd have enough strength to heal such wounds. She blinked and turned her head. She could take him to the church. Sister Matilda..she..would help? She had to! But...that required to move him again. "Shhh. It's okay. You are safe now. I'm going to get you all fixed up. P-Promise.." She glared at some of the chains that spied out from under flesh. She hoped whatever Phantas did..hurt Tylor..a lot!
His hands curled harder..pain rocketing up into his shoulders, spreading out everywhere. He flinched at the touch to his hair..expecting it to hurt a lot worse than it did, sniffing..swallowing. He was reminded of everything else when he tried to take a deep breath. His teeth grit as his body strained against the tight bindings. He had no idea what to say..he wetted his lips the best he could. ?What ab-bout..y-you.. You g-got..she stabbed..y-you..?
"Y-You ..don't hate me right.." Remembering Tylor's words made her hand retreat. He wasn't mad at her right? He reminded her of her own wound and her eyes lowered to the dark spot. It..didn't matter. She shook her head quietly. ?Don't worry about that. Your leg? It's broken?" She asked as she scooted down to said leg. She had noticed the limp but needed to know the extent of the damage.
?Ha.. Ha-*hate*..you.. Mmph..? He pushed to lift his head, turn it in her direction. His expression was groggy, but his eyes were narrowed in disbelief. ?The.. H-how..the..why..? Why would..I..?? He nodded at her question, looking down. The chains..felt weird.. Itchy.. Moving hurt..like always.. ?Yeah.. Probably..in a c-couple..places..?
"For taking so long.." She managed out. The damage..was too terrible. She wouldn't be able to heal all of him. Best she could do was mend a few of the wounds and ease his pain. "I am going to heal you a little..and then bring you to the church. I know you don't want any of my blood and there is no elixir..I can try to heal all of you if you rather.."
?Ah.. O-oh..? He shook his head. Why..after however long, with days filled with this..did he sudden just feel..normal.. Like he could forget..like it wasn't such a big deal.. ?N-no.. I couldn't ev-ver hate you.. And especial-ly..n-not..? His head shook again. ?The same th-thing..that you did for M-May..r-right..? No.. It looks a lot..w-worse..than it is..? He lied. ?I'm ok-kay.. But..the ch-chains.. Help me..g-get them out..??
"Yeah the same thing...And I am going to do it regardless of what you say. Just..not sure to what extent yet. I know it hurts. A lot..It's okay. You don't need to lie to me.." She didn't like that he did but she could understand why. Nodding slowly she started to check one of the connected chains, seeing if it was barbed or whatnot. Seeing what she had to work with.
?Katt, please.. Don't..don't make me w-watch you..d-do that.. I kn-know..it h-hurts.. But..it'd be w-worse..if I had to see it..hurting you.. Just..? He smothered his face into the cloak, drying it..sniffing as he forced his head to lift again. ?...please.. Don't..?
The only barbs were stuck in the dips of his shoulders, one in flesh that looked like a giant bite had been taken from it..two others in his hips, and the last two in his knees. The rest of the chain links, that were visible, though coated in crimson, looked like miniature saws..obviously sharp.
She didn't want him to cry any more. A sad look tugged her lips, thankful that the hood was still drawn to hide her face. "Then please..take some of my blood?" She scowled at the chains and started to carefully remove them. She flinched at the sharpness that bit into her fingertips as she worked them free. The barbs were a little more difficult but also were pulled free from him. It was hard to pinch and move what little skin they didn't eat at. It made her feel so horribly guilty.
?Blood.. Mmph..? It was easy, something that she could do.. If she had another option, she'd use it.. He'd rather just..heal himself.. He leaned his forehead into the cloak..painfully stretching his arms out, as much of his legs as he could. He'd..have to get up at some point..for her to get the ones wrapping around his torso..
?L-later.. We h-have to..get everything..o-out.. The chains..f-first, then.. Yeah..?
