The Obsidian Halls, a large building located in the southeast quarter of the city opens its doors to all citizens of Rhy'din. The large structure, consisting of a main, columned hall and at least ten side halls, is the new Embassy of Athas, world of the Dark Sun to the world of Rhy'din, to open up possible diplomatic relations between the two worlds. The interior of the structure is dominated by massive columns of solid obsidian, with walls, ceiling and floors made of a reddish sandstone. Adorned with statues and other artwork from the distant desert world. Narisa-Vesh, High Templar to Kalis-Nar, oversees the Embassy, staffed with other Templars or priests and priestess, mainly human, with some native athasian dwarves and other strange humanoids from that world. All embassy guards are from the 1st Blood and 1st Obsidian Legions, Kalis-Nar's elite troops, mainly consisting of athasian half-giants and Muls, a bald, muscular race of mixed human and dwarven blood. Blood Legionaires are of course recognized for their red long kilts and the Obsidian Legionaires for their black long kilts. The Embassy also sports a small, but exceptional gladiatorial arena, which can hold 100 guests, a fine dining hall for upto 200 guests and a dancehall, with a stage for minstrals and actors for plays, as Kalis-Nar is a patron of the arts as well. There is also an excellent garden, with a large, exquisite fountain, made of solid obsidian, topped with four elf maidens in lovely dresses, each holding a water jug, from which the water flows. The bottom of the fountain's water basin, some 25 feet in diameter, is lined with lapis Lazuli and ambers. It is considered to be the masterpiece of the whole Embassy.
